If you REALLY want a airsoft gun, you can buy them at ehobbyasia.
Here are the rules for trying to get to them.
Best state for airsoft; South Australia. When buying a pistol (pistol only) it has to look fake (coloured slide, plastic construction etc.) be under 180FPS and more importantly, be a SPRING mechanism, NOT a gas/electrical/hybrid design!
@npearson100 Hey I'm from Australia and I have a G36c, R7+ and a Beretta looking pistol. They're fairly metallic and extremely illegal here but it was like a ghost for the customs. I had no trouble for my cousin sending them over. Pretty straight forward!
This year, Airsoft Australia representative John C. Hanlon announced on the associations website that their proposal for legislative and regulatory changes within Queensland had been passed by the Ministers Weapons Review Committee. The changes along with recommendations from the Australian Police Ministers Council have bee forwarded to the Minister for approval. Hanlon states that from the information he has received the new legislation could be enacted as early as December 2008.
Thats great, you've probabley got a juniour licence.... damn I need to get me on of those.... my dad has a licence so it shouldn't be to hard for me to join a club and get one!
Customs will get them every time. All this crap about parting them out and sending seperately is going to do nothing but waste postage stamps, they know what they are looking for and believe me - they even pick on parts that you never would have suspected they would recognise as part of the assembly. Dont waste your time or money, and dont hold your breath for it being legalised here either, cos it wont, i dont care what ASA say.
people need to understand that guns arent just toys airsoft guns are for sport and im not sure how wel peeps apreciate the fact that we r geting airsoft hopefully but i think alot of people are taking it too lightly.
stop cryin kid why dnot u just wait till you 18 and get full gun license you probably no nothing about guns and how they work and your just same game nerd that expects that guns are toys
Actually RedWolf do send to Australia, they can even send it in parts to help it get through easier, but it's still risky. First time you get caught you'll most likely get a warning, next time most likely a fine.
No they're illegal sadly. There's a huge confusion between air-guns and airsoft guns. Category A lets you get air-guns, but not even a collectors licence will let you get a BB-gun here =(
LOL, just get a real one with a real licence. You can pick up a norinco 1911 9mm for 500 bucks at the penrith gun show. They have all sweet weapons check it out man May 16-17 penrith panthers no licence required to check it out.
Because with a collectors licence you can get Glock 17's and M&P9's without the mag restriction or barrel restriction. I doubt they would allow that with ammunition because then the target shooting licence would be completely pointless. You can also get .45 caliber handguns.
That's correct, you can. It's an ambigious law. You can own anything that a normal cat A B and H owner could own (or even a cat C if you have the reason for it), but you can't possess ammunition for any weapons that fall outside of the restrictions. So for example, I could own and shoot a .38 revolver, I could own a .50 AE Desert Eagle or something horribly large, but not possess the ammunition for it.
I wouldn't be able to own .50 AE, such a caliber is regarded as illegal and "scary" and "aircraft-destroying" stuff last time I heard. I'm only able to get calibers up to .38 and no higher (Except things like .45 for special events like blackpowder, but the Desert Eagle or S&W 500 isn't exactly for any "Accredited event" so I have no reason to be able to legally purchase ammunition for it).
You can get .357 caliber Desert Eagles. I saw them at the gunshow. $2grand.
.50actionexpress wont destroy an aircraft lol. In the desert eagles they use a piston which spends most of the power which is why its got such a big recoil also because of the slide weight adding to it.
I have a black Desert Eagle in .357 =) I don't shoot it though, it's more a display piece for me than much else, and a bit of a showoff piece to be honest. But yeah, .50 AE is hard to get since .50 Desert Eagles aren't really used in events much (Despite being originally designed as a target pistol). The problem is, people confuse .50 AE with .50 BMG (which they still say can shoot down aircraft), which would be incredibly difficult.
Hey man look on ebay they have tons of airsoft dealers that ship to australia and get a classic army they are beasts and theyare super high quality i swear it

Yeah that's what I did. I went through to get my collectors licence since I was tired of the red tape surrounding replicas.
Slikhedgehog 2 years ago
Good, shoulda got a target pistol licence. Ever shot a real handgun. Good fun too.
KillFrenzie 2 years ago
Yeah, my licence lets me shoot Cat A, B, and H. I can collect C and D as well, although they need to be inoperable.
Slikhedgehog 2 years ago
Really? I thought collectors licenses restricted people from possessing ammunition. That's what it says in the firearms registry section.
KillFrenzie 2 years ago

Slikhedgehog 2 years ago
That's why you should get a target licence to possess ammunition for it. Then if you have some land you can shoot on it without bothering anyone.
