@PSBnNH yeah some striking still works but anyone who knows about the effectiveness and dominance of mma and bjj will know one should have a good ground basis just so if the fight does go to the ground or grappling at some point

( which it usually will in a street fight due to stamina issues even though i think ground fighting uses way more energy ) because anyone can throw a punch but good ground fighting is truly an art.

I said is was a wild haymaker. "A type of punch, a wild swing with all the person's might to knock out the opponent." That's the definition I just found. You don't see those kinds of strikes in MMA because those fighters know what they are doing. Haymakers are not precise/accurate, and they leave yourself completely open for other attacks. That knockout punch was a textbook haymaker in every single way.

If you were to see a "Haymaker" in MMA, 95% of the time it would be controlled and accurate. There is a difference between a haymaker from Wanderlei and a haymaker from the guy in the video and you know that just as well as I do.
