Yes the Mexican empire existed briefly after the Mexican indepence war in 1821.
But no, the Mexican empire don't appear in the game, only the "Mexica Empire" (Aztecs) and Civilization IV: Colonization, despite its name, its not an expansion pack for Civilization IV, its a Standalone game.

@fragolegirl2002 Your ships cannot carry the treasure back to Europe, you will need a Galleon to carry it. A Galleon is the best transport ship, you can make one or buy one from Europe.

Bankers now can't be as "corrupt" but will still be sneaky as fuck to gain as much from you as possible. But it's not the banks we should blame. it's the people. 80% of USA's economy runs on credit, and credit creates debt, and debt leads to interests, and interests means profit for banks.
I've thought about getting this, but I'm afraid I might be bored with it since you can't use multiple civs and conquer random territory like Civilization 4.
I just started playing it and it's very similar, except that almost all area is partially owned by the Native Americans, and to get new settlers you have to send a ship back to Europe, its actually quite innovative and fun!
i will certainly consider it. Although, I have a huge wishlist. and most of it is expensive music and pc equipment. i have to balance it all out.... ha ha..thanks for the info, though!
To get money you have to send a ship full of goods back to Europe, sell it, then get men from Europe and bring it back to your country, maybe you should do the tutorial???
They definately killed some muthafuckers tho. If they would have only just killed the Europeans when they landed then they would have never lost their land.
Why don't they show how the Americans massacred the true native americans or enslaved them, and when they bought Manhattan to the Dutchman, after they bought it to Indians for 25$ (I'm not sure of the price, but it was ridiculous)?

In a way they kind of actually do show the bad side of europe and the americans cause u can actually fight them in the game, like start war with them but they don't get into the enslaving that happened or anything like that.
It's a great thing that you can choose to fight the americans against or with the Americans, I didn't know that, this extension sounds better and better, but I don't know if they included the old extensions, like Beyond the Sword, I would like to know how looks the space in this great game (I re-installed it 3 weeks ago, after rediscovering it in my cellar after years ;-) )
Nobody is really native to America, most humans just settled to were they were.
Most the native killing happened under the Union Jack, before under "Old Glory". Also the Aztecs had it coming for them when their empire all around them were slave states. And coming into contact brought disease it wasn't till later that it was used as a weapon.
Also the Indians has full hunting and land rights to build on the land as well as fishing rights. To them they really never owned any of it.
actully the british worked with the natives take the pilgrims for example it was the spanish that killed the most. btw the americans killed much more natives than the british and are still putting them into reservations to this day.
Somebody has never heard of King Philip's War. Sure you can say that they worked with certain native tribes to kill off native tribes, and in the late 19th century in Canada to kick them off to build a railroad. Also disease killed off more American Indians than the Spanish ever had.
I assume your speaking of the Western Plains Indians. Yeah, mainly all East Cost now have gotten tribal status (or trying to) by state or federal governments. Though its mainly turned into Indian Casinos.

The Incas were caught up in a ten year civil war and at the end the Spanish arrived, and the messagers of that reported their arrival spread the diseases around, even from contact from the Spanish in battle.
One main reason for the slave trade in Africa was due in part to the natives dieing off from diseases, and a lack of slave labor force after.

i have a problem with mine. it just crashes after a few years of play. it crashes to desktop and i get that "dont send" error. and even with my autosave each turn i cant load it back as i will get the same error.

the best way (and only way) to convince your population to revolt is to have at two elderly statesmen in at least every city... I love the game, I always play it (seeing I only have to go to school only 4 hours XD)

The game is good but has a major historical flaw, misses Portugal and gives the Dutch the importance Portugal should have, even giving the name of some of our cities like Recife, Fortaleza etc to Dutch colonies. The Dutch managed to steal this cities for a very short period of time but where defeated fast, only managing to keep a smal portion of land in what is now called Suriname, wich has very few significance in terms of amaerican territory. Brasil was a portuguese colony not Dutch!
acctualy the dutch were more important than the portugese. Just because they were the first who actually builded up an independent fleed (the first multinational ever). while the portuguese were more powerful in the 16th century but lost control to the dutch who were powerful the 17th cenury
if you like to build nations and diplomat with other then this is the game, but if u like battle, check out Empire: Total War COMING out next February. ITs the best Revolutionary war ever. Put Empire: Total War land Battle and Sea battle
i hope so.. because all the other total wars had some flaws in the gameplay. too easy and unrealisticly easy to win the battles on very hard. and bad AI on tactical map. The games have been based on amazing battle graphics, not as much amazing gameplay.
Actually I would say diplomacy was the biggest flaw in total war series. Its just uneffective. You always end up fighting all your neighbours and the only allies that wont betray you are weak and too scared to stab you in the back.
I'd only play it if you could be the natives and wipe out the settlers, or play as the british and crush the yanks. Better still be the Aztecs and smash the Spanish and build a super Aztec empire. None of this cornball George Washington crap for me. Think how much better then US would be today if it had have stayed a British colony a good while longer. Hha ha!

actully the british worked with the natives take the pilgrims for example it was the spanish that killed the most. btw the americans killed much more natives than the british and are still putting them into reservations to this day.

Somebody has never heard of King Philip's War. Sure you can say that they worked with certain native tribes to kill off native tribes, and in the late 19th century in Canada to kick them off to build a railroad. Also disease killed off more American Indians than the Spanish ever had.
I assume your speaking of the Western Plains Indians. Yeah, mainly all East Cost now have gotten tribal status (or trying to) by state or federal governments. Though its mainly turned into Indian Casinos.

Most died from diseases they brought. The conquest of Mexico City Aztecs were dropping dead in battle. Also during that time. The Incas were caught up in a ten year civil war and at the end the Spanish arrived, and the messagers of that reported their arrival spread the diseases around, even from contact from the Spanish in battle.
One main reason for the slave trade in Africa was due in part to the natives dieing off from diseases, and a lack of slave labor force after.

Even though you get to rewrite history, the civilizations are accurately portrayed by their respective leaders ex. Stalin to Russia.
Unique buildings and units are also in line with the civ's culture, such as Panzers for Germany or F-15s for USA.
Maybe you should take a look at the description of each civ under its entry in the civilopedia. or just stfu

Civ4 Colnization doesnt include Portugal and thats really bad, cuz With no Portugal there would be no world... the portuguese discovered the way by sea too India, were the firts having a great empire in the four continents !!

i have a problem with mine. it just crashes after a few years of play. it crashes to desktop and i get that "dont send" error. and even with my autosave each turn i cant load it back as i will get the same error.

the best way (and only way) to convince your population to revolt is to have at two elderly statesmen in at least every city... I love the game, I always play it (seeing I only have to go to school only 4 hours XD)

The game is good but has a major historical flaw, misses Portugal and gives the Dutch the importance Portugal should have, even giving the name of some of our cities like Recife, Fortaleza etc to Dutch colonies. The Dutch managed to steal this cities for a very short period of time but where defeated fast, only managing to keep a smal portion of land in what is now called Suriname, wich has very few significance in terms of amaerican territory. Brasil was a portuguese colony not Dutch!

acctualy the dutch were more important than the portugese. Just because they were the first who actually builded up an independent fleed (the first multinational ever). while the portuguese were more powerful in the 16th century but lost control to the dutch who were powerful the 17th cenury

if you like to build nations and diplomat with other then this is the game, but if u like battle, check out Empire: Total War COMING out next February. ITs the best Revolutionary war ever. Put Empire: Total War land Battle and Sea battle

i hope so.. because all the other total wars had some flaws in the gameplay. too easy and unrealisticly easy to win the battles on very hard. and bad AI on tactical map. The games have been based on amazing battle graphics, not as much amazing gameplay.

Actually I would say diplomacy was the biggest flaw in total war series. Its just uneffective. You always end up fighting all your neighbours and the only allies that wont betray you are weak and too scared to stab you in the back.

I'd only play it if you could be the natives and wipe out the settlers, or play as the british and crush the yanks. Better still be the Aztecs and smash the Spanish and build a super Aztec empire. None of this cornball George Washington crap for me. Think how much better then US would be today if it had have stayed a British colony a good while longer. Hha ha!
