  • You can tell that the trombone player is getting payed way more than the guitarist

  • First bone looks plastic. ;)

  • Somebody should of told the drummer what concert dress was...

  • What fluid tone!

  • absolut fantastisch - ich bin sprachlos!

  • I love the way he admires his own trombone solo!!!

  • guatemala guatemala viva james morrison

  • Play it again Sam and Sam and Sam and Sam and Sam and Sam...........

  • The 3 guys that didn't like this must be the people from Yamaha that lost Mr. Morrison to Schagerl.

  • i can't believe he didn't play the drums, didn't his brother teach him anything?

  • Everything music is supposed to be...communicating with each other.

  • just perfect!!!

  • The most perfect musican!

  • Wow. just WOW. To have this level of talent on all those instruments is just SICK! Color me green! Definitely have got to go get this CD.

  • @stargazerherman Nice comment! I'll pay that, James's wife is Judy Green a beautiful lady and a former Miss Australia! I just got a signed copy of the CD, posted by James from his house, and he even signed the back and front of the envelope that it was posted in. You know if you don't have 'the original album 'SNAPPY DOO' most instruments also played by The Maestro I suggest you do! Swing on!

  • wow wow wow....

  • Outstanding!!

  • Unbelievable!

  • Just amazing!

  • @ CAGED1702. The guitar used in the video clip is not the one used on the recording which was the Gibson. Same as the Bass in the clip not being the Epoch one used in the recording. :)

  • If he's getting paid Union scale, he'll be a millionaire after two gigs.

  • i want that many twins ;)

  • Nice. Can you imagine the time and years that went in to being able to play on that level on ALL of the big band instruments? What dedication. What fun! Nice.

  • Ooops: the guitar is an Epiphone ES semi-hollow "The Dot", not a Gibson. Anyway: James Morrison is just awesome..!

  • i love this

  • James......"We're not worthy, we're not worthy...."

  • What a limited musician. Couldn't he play the drums, too?

  • @yakovgrin LOL

  • @yakovgrin haha :D

  • This is just dirty

  • Excellent!!!

  • Just love it!

  • SOUNDS EXCELLENT ! SENIOR COUNTRY CLUBS DISCO.......

  • wow...

  • what

  • What is the name of this music?

  • @Luismacedodrums - sounds like "Cherokee" to me.

  • I like the Sax player... The rest of them, ehh...

  • OMG now he is also playing a mean bass,he used to leave that to Ray Brown

  • If this were the early 60's Morrison would be a household name. Just loving this amazing artist . Makes me just want to shout and live live live live .. So many great players out there with real taste and chops, waiting to be discovered . YIPPEE!

  • > Love his tone. Not to dark not to bright just perfect <

I second that ! Plus this recording and video are superb .... this project should carry Mr Morrison from stardom to super-stardom status in no time especially considering the present day power of youtube, facebook etc. .... kudos to JM. !

  • Love his tone. Not to dark not to bright just perfect

  • god that guy is just nuts. i bet he could have done drums if he'd cared to dive in

  • I love him enjoying listening to and watching himself play his solos. Great stuff.

  • Those goofy bald dudes in the trumpet and bone sections are clearly jealous of the soloists.

  • Loved this! Amazing.

  • Astounding accomplishment ! ... congratulations Mr. Morrison ... hard to decide which solo I like best but I am leaning toward the trombone ( I play trombone so I must be a bit biased ) ...headed over to iTunes thanks ..great project ...wishing you continued success and as a good friend used to say ... 'may the bop be with you and the boogie too' :o)

ps ...surely this makes the Guinness Book of World Records right ?

JAZZ JAZZ and more Jazz BTW did I mention Jazz love it !

  • Wonderful, wunderbar!!!

  • awesome kagebunshin no jutsu is awesome

  • re the questions about phasing..... different instruments were used for each part, also the engineer (Tod Deeley) suggested very slight de-tuning and used a different microphone for each instrument in a section.... no phasing!!

  • to those asking about the lack of 'more' Jeff Hamilton shots in the video.... Jeff wasn't actually at the video shoot, James just shot some 'wild' footage of Jeff in L.A. and then Thomas Zeller put him 'in' afterwards. This meant they could only use a very few shots that would fit with the track musically.

  • It is most unfortunate that we will not be able to ever hear this band "LIVE". This would be a tough stunt to take on the road. Great commitment to the craft and musicianship Mr. Morrison!

  • I didn't know Morrison had so many identical twins. =p

  • Pretty impressive, but why not give Hamilton some love at the end during the drum solo!??

  • That's awesome

  • Alpha Male, for sure!

  • TOO Cool!

  • I guess the drummer didn't get the e-mail about wearing a tux?

  • @bassjordan That is so funny!

  • @bassjordan the drummer, Jeff Hamilton, is only only one who is not James Morrison- if you didn't catch that. If he wore a tux he wouldn't stand out.

  • Wow! I've always been in awe of his talent

  • The epitome and personification of World Class! Bravo!

  • Después de ver esto ya me puedo morir tranquilo, dios mio de mi vida.. dudaba si este hombre era de este planeta, pero ahora creo que ya lo tengo todo claro, definitivamente es extraterreste. James Morrison, gracias por tu música =)

  • at 138, i laughed out loud at James looking at himself playing, and smiling, and smirking....:)

  • James Morrison,fu_k you!!!! :-)

  • Clearly, this guy went though the talent line several times. Wow. Congrats to Jim!

  • What's the matter with this guy, he can't play drums???? Amazing musician and video editor.

  • @mikethesax his brother is a drummer lol

  • Very cool indeed, however, someone needs to get Jeff a tux!!

  • I like how he is digging himself at the beginning of his trumpet and trombone solo. THAT must have take practice. It would have been funny if one of his alter ego also vibed himself. However, nice medium "Cherokee" chart.

  • we are not worthy..... BRAVO!

  • Imagine how awkward jeff Hamilton must feel when 15 Morrisons root each other in a man pile after the show

  • OH MY....

  • Marvelous playing. It is very musical and great fun to hear. Thank you for posting.

  • As a recovering musician, I resent the fact that he's so good, and I'm so, well ... not good.

  • crazy ass

  • What's can you say except AWESOME!!!

  • So why didn't he just learn to play the drums?

  • I going to go practice now....

  • A truly clever video by a highly talented musician.

  • Awesome, awesome and awesome! James Morrison, a musician's musician.

    Stellar on every instrument.

  • Lawd.

  • How do you avoid "phasing". I always get a phasing effect when I overdub myself on trumpet. Even if I Melodyne the crap out of the tracks I still get the phasing.

  • @ebjazz He's playing a different horn on just about every different chart.

  • @alext619619 Yeah. I've tried that and it didn't work for me. He's still doing all the trumpet parts and there's a lot of unison. How'd they get that to sound good? You're saying he used a different trumpet for each part? Still wouldn't work for me.

  • @ebjazz He's also James Morrison...maybe that helps...

  • @ebjazz Changing the panning position in the stereo mix avoids the issues of other takes causing filtering.

  • Now we just need to invent a way to clone him.

  • Einfach bewundernswert! Genialer, und zugleich sehr netter Musiker.

  • Einfach nur cool der Typ ... und wie er sich immer selbst zuschaut: :))

  • @toyrobot99 yes he is.

  • This man is just incredible,a genius i must say!!!!!!!Congratulations Mr Morrison and Schagerl instruments

  • Awesome! Congratulations!

  • great stuff!

  • Awesome!! James is a freak of nature!

  • awesome James. This will go viral too.

  • love it love it love it.... finally after 21 years... congrats James... it's just great!
