most anyhorse can but at lower levels, it just that if you get more and more competitive, the horse could/will likely break down under the pressures of the fast quick turns and the high speeds, that is why QHs are favored because they are sturdy and good at sprinting...

OT: I LOVE your horse! He is pretty fast... I just got a new mare and so I am waiting to see if she has the speed...

actually, someone I take lessons with rides a gaited horse in barrels, poles, and flags. And he is pretty good at it.

They can be good at it but they can get windpuff. Trust me my gaited horse that i LOVE AND STILL DO! got it , it broke my heart to hear the farrier say to quit riding her on barrels poles ect... I still got her though she gots half of my heart cause i love her so much if she ever left i would only have half a heart....
