  • Excellent video. This is exactly what i was looking for!

  • Fantastic video!!! Thanks for sharing! :-)

  • Thank you very much.

  • Thank YOU so much for putting this on here. I am going to get started this week on installing our diaper sprayer!!! I found this link from a mama that referred us to this link. I will do likewise with my friends and family cloth diapering there babies!

  • Great job in explaining the process. I am prolly gonna go do it myself here in a few days.

  • BTW its a ghetto homemade Bidet not a diaper sprayer as you call it.. Nicely done tho..

  • @outspeaker He's going to be spraying diapers with it so, logically, it's a diaper sprayer.

  • why did you put the tee in the middle of the hose? Why not put a tee between the toilet and the hose? Then run a valve there, and then a garden hose to a hose sprayer?

  • @damononopium First of all, a garden hose's diameter does not match the diameter of the sprayer hose. The more cuts and connections you make, the more potential problems you can possibly encounter down the road. Secondly, I wanted the ball valve near the handle of the spray gun so that when I pick up the gun to use it, I don't have to reach way down behind the toilet to turn the pressure on. Having the valve close to the gun makes it easier to use.

  • @damononopium I made this video mostly as a guide. If you want to make a diaper sprayer, do it the way that YOU think is best.

  • This was very helpful and looks easy to do, but I don't think my landlord will let us chop up the hose to the toilet...lol...

  • Hey this sprayer is awesome! Been using mine for about a month now. Thanks!

  • What a great video! Your instructions were easy to follow and I look forward to making my own. Thanks for taking the time out to make this DIY! =D

  • Please remember, there is a reason to buy a quality diaper sprayer such as one from where the sprayers and hoses are built to with stand 500+ psi where kitchen sprayers bought from home stores are not made to be left under 24 hour pressure. Just like tires, one can put a $50 tire on a Ferrari, it will drive around the block, but as soon as you hit 100 mph the tire will fall apart since the tire was not built or rated for that speed. Plus no liability insurance.

  • @toyboy555 This video was made 3 years ago, and the sprayer is still attached to this day and has never had any problems or leaks. You're right....It's very important to keep the constant pressure off the sprayer gun. That's why I recommend installing a brass ball valve in the middle of the line so there isn't constant pressure on the gun sprayer, as I indicate in the video. Had you actually watched the whole thing, you would have noticed that part.

  • Oh my goodness. This is the most handy and smart thing I have ever seen. and Its so easy that a non-handy person like me could even do it. You are so thorough!!

  • Great Idea, I'll have to get my hubby to make one for us. Thank you for your video : )

  • Thank you!

  • i want one of these so i can spray my butthole after pooing that way you get extra clean.

  • Great idea.....an easier multi-tasker is to just install a hand held shower head. This way you don't need to cut your toilet supply line and worry about any leaks.....plus once you consider the cost of your supplies a hand held shower sprayer is about the same cost.

  • Nice shirt, I too live in the K-Zoo area, love the Air Zoo!

  • This is a very helpful video, and I'd be thrilled if it worked on my toilet, but it doesn't. Unfortunately my toilet input hose is 3/8 in by 7/8 out, and so the 3/8 barbed tee doesn't fit in the toilet hose. I've spent a couple hours at the hardware store to try to make it work, but I'd have to spend about twice as much, so I'm opting to just buy a kit. Too bad, it seems so simple!

  • Such a classic first time dad 'we're going to be having a baby here, probably in the next 3-4 months' probably like maybe? haha sorry I thought that was great!

  • A lot of sinks have pressure sprayers...would it be totally gross to dispose of baby poo in your kitchen sink?

  • @MephistophelesMyLord Nope. It all goes to the same place, since the water in your house all goes to sewage. I think some people just get squeamish knowing that dishes go in there at some point, too, haha.

  • Great video and super instructions. Thanks!

  • I'm sure the one you're talking about would work just fine as well. The one in the video that I installed 2 years ago hasn't had a single problem. Thanks for your input and thanks for watching.

  • @halemeister Thanks so much for this, it will save us a ton since we have two bathrooms we will be installing one in this summer. First time cloth diaper user and this has eased my fear of the whole mess. :D Thanks

  • For 20 dollars Law's sell a kit. They market it to be connected at a standing shower head for washing dogs. That kit is excellent and can be used for this purpose. They have switches where when the hose end is connected, water flaw is blocked to the toilet side, that way you don't lose pressure if toilet is flushed and tank is filling. When you remove the hose by twisting it off, water is sent back to toilet side. I see many issues in yours. Having that valve in the middle, no good try tho

  • This is not only a diaper sprayer this is a cleansing sprayer instead of using toilet paper for adults. The idea of toilet paper is really a nasty western culture. We are smearing poo all over our asses and walk around like life is good. In the east and Arabic cultures they use this sprayers.

  • The valve you installed should not be in the middle of the hose man. That puts the bottom half of the hose under pressure.

  • @lamrof Where would you put it then? The whole point of the brass valve is to keep the constant pressure off of the plastic gun at the end. The valve is rated much higher than the sprayer handle, so it makes sense to protect yourself for around $5.00. Even when installed onto kitchen sinks, the sprayer handle never has constant pressure on it.

  • Now I can spray poo

  • How much did this cost to make and put in?

  • thank you ! you just saved me at least 40 bucks!

    you rock

  • I would love to give this a try, but I live in an apartment. Not sure they'd be too cool with it...

  • I totally want to try this.

Actually, I see tools and get overwhelmed.

But still, what a great idea. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • Awesome video thank you so much for posting this. I can't wait to get my husband started on this.

  • awesome! i wish i saw this last year! but now i know! thanks so much!

  • Remember, these kitchen sprayers and hoses were not made to withstand pressure for 24 hours/365 days a year. A kitchen sprayer and hose used in a kitchen setting is only under pressure when the water is turned via the sink and then turned off after use, so its not under constant pressure. Now when you convert these into sprayers connected to a constant water source, watch out for a flooded house.

  • Which is exactly the reason why I suggest installing the ball valve in the middle of the line.

  • Well, if someone is afraid of that scenario happening to them, then I would simply suggest NOT to have one of these diaper sprayers in their residence.

  • SUPER Helpful! I was thinking about getting a kit but you made it look so easy that I'm gonna do it myself and save money! =) And by do it myself I mean I'm gonna have my husband do it. LOL

  • thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Great tutorial! I wonder why people don't use the shower head....is that an option?

  • Well, I suppose you could use a shower head if you had a way to hook it up to a water line that fits your toilet's water supply line. You'd also need some kind of a push button device like the sink sprayer has.

But to answer your question, yes... I believe you COULD use a shower head, although I believe it would be big, bulky, and difficult to use and could be difficult to hook up since you'd probably have to make the supply line bigger in diameter to fit the shower head.

  • If the shower is right next to the toilet and I have a detachable shower head, can't I just use the water from the shower through the shower head and spray it into the toilet as long as I start the shower over the toilet to prevent spilling? I think it would be more difficult, but I wonder if it would work well.

  • Great tutorial! It's nice to have someone do a step by step for stuff like this!

  • well, I already bought a commercial diaper sprayer but if that ever fails me I will remember to come back to this video!

I probably would not use cold water to bathe the kid. LOL but I read from somewhere else that it can be good for helping with cleaning the bathtub and the bathing the dog idea was good. Thanks for a great tutorial!

  • Yeah, I wouldn't use cold water to bathe a kid either. I don't know what I was thinking when I said that... But, I have used the sprayer to wash out the bathtub and it works great!

Thanks for your positive comments. When I was making this video, I had people like you in mind... people that would appreciate and might possibly use this tutorial to make their own lives easier by building their own diaper sprayer.

  • Now i can spray poo!! lol

  • This was GREAT! You also made me laugh towards the end.

  • Thank you so much for this video! You are a very good teacher:) I am going to have my husband make me one of these this weekend. That will save us quite a bit of money!

  • You're welcome. Good luck with it!

  • I built this almost exactly as in the video. One note: Crank down all fittings! Also, having had a commercial sprayer previously, this one has less water pressure. I solved that tonight by unscrewing the gun nozzle and inserting a Pur water filter cap with a hole drilled/poked into it (the cap is the part that you take off - something I had in my junk drawer). All this reduces the water a bit for a bit more powerful jet. Since my old one leaked, I'm very confident in this build. Thanks!

  • The ball valve will come in handy from keeping the older toddler from spraying the hose when not wanted as well.

Also, his comment towards the end for using it to spray during bath time would be great if you have a big dog to bathe!

  • Ahhh yes! Very good points you have there.

  • Awesome! I bet my FIL can help me put this on the toilet!

  • "now i can spray poo!" That is great :)

  • Thank you SO much for your tutorial, I've been looking to buy one online and knew I should be able to make one myself but wasn't sure of all the parts I'd need I super appreaciate this!

  • Thanks for this, I'm going to do it too!

  • Wow, I never would have thought of making one with a sink sprayer. How much did all of the parts cost to do this?

  • Less than $25.
