After the 2001 bombing of Tora Bora the UN did not let US invade Afghanistan untill late 2003. Mean while US invaded Iraq with UN permission on frounds of WMD. Iraq sprad propoganda that they had WMD to stop Iran or US from wanting to invade the Country. I do think there were some mistakes but I do not believe the US bombed WTC

At ten miles out the liaison came and asked Cheney if the orders still stood, to which Cheney barked back "Of course they still stand". Because no interceptors were scrambled to stop the Pentagon attack on 911 we now know that those orders were 'stand-down'. Think!

He said he did not know there were shoot down orders...because Cheney was continually notified of the air threat approaching the Pentagon....and still the airforce interceptors were not scrambled....That is why he reluctantly said that he didn't know there were shoot down orders given until he was later notified after the Pentagon attack

Mineta is asked about the order to shoot down commercial flight 77...... and if you watch to the end Mineta says that the intercepting planes were still 10 mins away when the plane struck...... at no point are the words STAND DOWN used...... you can surmise what you like ..... but it doesn't make it true

@Chidanandaji even if there was the off chance that the official record were wrong and there was a stand down order do you know why that would be. because you CANT just shoot a 757 out of the sky over a populated area. the collateral damage would be OVERWHELMING. so Cheyney had to weigh the hitting of the pentagon over tons of falling debris over Arlington County. It was a no-win scenario. So IF the records are wrong he still made the right choice
