there is no "rest" to opeth's catalog. they play progressive rock. whether that sounds like this or like death metal, it's still considered progressive rock.

Progressive Rock can actually mean a lot of things, the only limits to it being that it is somewhat related to rock and in some way different from all the shit you usually hear. So your going to tell me that songs like this, Hope Leaves, and Weakness are closely related to their songs like When and Master's Apprentice? No, thats actually what i like about Opeth, the fact that they take unrelated genres and mash them together quite cohesively.

yeah man 100% agree, this song has good mixes of hard rock, a little metal, some soul and some funk in it too, this is one of my favorite songs.

This is probably the most prog track on Watershed. It could be a King Crimson track. The entirety of Watershed is pure own. from Coil to Hex Omega, this album just purely owns.
