Its true that they created this great constitution but never really put it into affect, obviously the slaves weren't considered part of it, and the natives got the shaft too, but only 10 years after it was created the president already passed a law limiting freedom of speech. America has a great foundation, its just never been built on properly.

I believe that the founding fathers recognized this hypocrisy you speak of and were hoping that the masses would wake up and implement their document.

Understand, slaves and native americans were not considered, by science or commonly, as human beings. America was founded under a white supremacist mentality (imho rightfully so due to the progress built by european whites compared to other groups). This has changed since the system has created opportunity. The average level of education has greatly increased and science has progressed beyond that standard.
