I was de-ranked a couple of days ago. The only differece isthat I can get online and play. My rank is level 1 and my xp to get to level 2 is 9000000+. I contacted Activision and awaiting their reply.

yeah this happened to me on xbox i was level 25 but i went to random free for all and got deranked except i kept killing and loosing points because i was already d ranked check out my video about it, but yeah they should just reset your account and you can still play if a friend invites you

Happened to me on PS3. I am prestige "11" somehow? I can still level up normally, but there is no icon next to my rank, I can't unlock challenges or attachments, and my leader boards were all set back to zero. If somebody could restore my rank (level 55 7th prestige), PLEASE let me know.

@dundin9 Dude, at least you can still play... most of the people here (including me) can't. We are level 1 with -infinity xp. because you're technically level 0, you cant play online because you actually have to be level 1 for the first server...

exact same problem, i joined a RANDOM game, played a minute, left and now, I'm back at level 1 and I can't join any games. I wish activision or whoever would just make a patch and whenever you download it, it clears your COD4 account, so if you ever get deranked you can just reset. COD4 was my favorite online game, its such bullshit that we can join a random game without knowing and have our online fucked up. If anyone finds a solution, let me know. :(
