Recall vividly getting ready for school in the 4th Grade - MTV (back when it actually played Music Videos) was playing a Journey video - my Mom and I sat down on the coffee table to catch the rest of video and all of the sudden both of us said out loud..in stereo.."Steve Perry is so cute!" A real cool song, the first i heard from Journey on Radio at the 80´s in a radio show called Hardrock Cafe, thanks to Gotthard Rieger in Austria ,this man played one cool song after the other and we guys hoped to find the one or other record at a store,no internet, no mp3 , no cd,just vinyl,these were real good times !

@eric9164 Stupid bass sound?? Ross Valory is a monster bassist, great tone in my opinion, cuts real well. Don't even get me started on Steve Perry, he is a rare breed in this day in age. Nobody today in popular music can sing like that man. Perry was an amazing vocalist.

Saw Journey in Ottawa in '81 , there was a long rain delay they didn't come on till midnight or so, and they rocked , probably had a few beers waiting like the rest of us.Perry and Schon kick Tyler and Perry's ass it's just that Perry and Schon don't whore themselves out for every dollar and tv appearance.
