  • the sad thing is i will never get 4g with sprint in my area although verizon, tmobile and at&t have it already. maybe sprint should first get everyone the same or better coverage than the competitors before investing more money in the same 4g markets.

  • i have the new Sprin tdirect connect for my shooting team and we love it better than nextel on iden. more coverage and the power of 3g to help the DC. never had a glitch at all love it GO SPRINT

  • Im sorry sprint, i love your customer service and low cost plans, but in all honesty your coverage and speeds blows. I now know why Verizons plans are expensive, THERE WORTH THE MONEY

  • I'm tired of Sprint's horrible speed and the promise of 4G nationwide, especially in small cities, its been almost 3 years since its launch and still not nationwide, Verizon beat it after Sprint launched it . There is not a day where I don't the "Network busy" message, I'm switching after my contract is over.

  • My Moto Photon is awesome, but wasting away in Colorado Springs with no 4G. I tried tethering my Photon to my laptop and only achived 27k download speeds! Thats worse than dial up! PLEASE expand 4G to the entire Colorado FRONT RANGE North to Ft Collins, CO and South to Raton, NM!

  • I do hope that this saves Sprint, at least they are trying to make a come back.

  • Wow... only 2.75 more years until I have a usable data connection! HOW EXCITING!!! >_>

  • Regardless of what crap ppl are saying, I've been running trials in my city on this. The minimum I'm getting down is 1.18 mbps to 2.98 mbps which is a huge improvement!

  • Las Vegas market is crap as of now. HTC EVO 4g

  • hey sprint guess what? You blow. Your service is slow, you have zero customer service, and your agents are rude and unorganized both in the store and on the phone.

  • @blakmagik4 a small town in North Texas well semi-big I have seem them working on the towers. My buddy works for them upgrading equipment! I think he said something about EVDO Rev. B coming soon which supports 3+ Mbps :) but I'm always connected to 4G

  • Already done in mmy area!! :) I get full bars all the time now and when I'm on 3G I get 1.24 down and 0.50 up not much but better than. 50 up

  • @dhermosillo09 what city are you in? I'm torn with buying the iphone i've been waiting more then a year for or jumping to AT&T. we get crap signals in L.A. I was just at the sprint store in Torrance and even the sprint rep did a test and only got 500kbs. And i get only get 311kbs. it's fricken horrible. most i've ever gotten was 600 and that was a fluke.

  • @dhermosillo09 are you mad? AT&T and verizon get about 4mbps down and 1mbps up and i live far from any city. Sprint... i was lucky to get 56k... and now three months later after cancelling my service after 3 days i am still receiving bogus bills and getting the run-around. PITIFUL

  • HURRY UP DUMBFUCKS i have a virgin mobile phone and i only get 0.50 mbps on 1 bar!!! and since you guys own VM and they use your so called 3G network I want 4 bars NOT 1.

  • hurry up dumb dick head niggers

  • 3g is so slow, hurry it up, paying 10 bucks a month and can't even get 1Mbps

  • @dJoDeloy Well 3g phones are going to be slow since 4g is out. I have a 3g HTC HD2 on T-mobile and it slow. My phone logs me out of my wifi all time and I get slow speeds. I want the iphone and planning on leaving T-mobile in order get it. Well since Sprint is upgrading their network to LTE had me thinking maybe I should wait until iphone 5 is out.

  • POOOOOR Signal on Rio Grande Valley (South Texas) and even more for Iphone 4S

  • I hate how they only make 4g phones. I now have motorola photon 4g aNd pay 10$ where i dont even have 4g so mabye sprint should charge only if u connect to 4g

  • @michaelmoorhead86 All 4G phones are equiped with the same 3G technology as well. These are called Dualband phones. When droped from a 4G area or signal, the phone will automatically connect to a 3G signal. These technologies are called Wimax, 4G and CDMA, being 3G.Both technologies operate and different frequencies as MHz or GHz.

  • @909rickg Cool story but I bet they have a huge volume increase because of the new phone and there are probably bugs to work out. I am willing to put up with slightly slower speeds for a short period when I am saving so much on my plan.

  • This is amazing. I'm happy to be with sprint. Hopefully the roll out will help Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile customers too.

  • Awesome!

  • come on sprint put some work man hurry were loyal to y'all

  • In other words, they are going to charge us more money especially since we are getting the Iphone.

  • Coverage is where Sprint is hurting badly. Hope this solves the problem.

  • Note: When we get LTE youll have to switch from a EVO or WiiMax device to a LTE device

  • Good job Sprint.

  • It's so frustrating that I have the Evo 4g america first 4g phone and guess what no 4g where I live I just think if your not going to have 4g coverage everywhere the don't sell 4g phone now when 4g does come to my area the EVO 4G will be a thing of the past and its not going to run HTC sense 3.0 all I'm saying is don't give us oh 4g phone this and that if there is no 4g to be had in areas love Sprint been with them almost a year love my evo but I want to experience 4g not in two years now

  • So basically wimax is superior yet inferior at penetrating walls (no pun) so they go lte to knock it out

  • @Jecire I don't think it has anything to do with WiMAX vs LTE. The spectrum that they currently have their WiMAX on is really high (2500) and the one they're putting their LTE network on is much lower (1800 and then 800) which will improve building penetration. If they put WiMAX that low I'm sure it's speeds would be equal to LTE.

  • It'll be silly to not upgrade from Rev A to B or EVDO Advanced.

  • Test.

  • I checked 4G coverage map for my area a year ago. I live near a huge city and the coverage is the exact same. I did the same for Verizons coverage map and the coverage was the same as Sprints a year ago but looking at it now it has dramatically increased..

I have sprint so don't think I'm undermining sprint, I just hope that this Vision is starting soon.

  • Please bring this to Dallas soon! I'm tired of inconsistent data speeds and poor signal penetration. Hopefully using the 800 mhz freq is in this plan, as well as EV-DO Rev B

  • @jbsg01 Sprint has chosen to completley opt out on EV-DO Rev B and focus on building out 4G. I asked Sprint and they verified that they are not switching to EV-DO Rev B. To learn more and stay in the bubble about Sprint's Network Vision and updates head over to sprint.com -> Community Tab -> Sprint Forums -> Network and Coverage

  • the $10 premium data add-on is not fee for 4G network/coverage, its a fee for all the smartphone of SPRINT regardless if its a 4G phone, blackberries, android etc. as long as its a smartphone you'll get charge for it. and you'll have unlimited data usage.. just sharing.. :)

  • The $10 Fee is NOT a 4G fee, Sprint has NEVER said it was a 4G fee you fucking morons. If you don't like it then leave Sprint.

  • The videos def peaked my interest. Im the proud owner of an HTC EVO 4G. I have no 4G coverage inside my Home or Work but if I venture outdoors I have 1 bar @ both locations - which is unacceptable.

Im hoping that Sprint get's the HTC TITAN 4G or @ the very least the Samsung Focus S 4G this Fall. It's almost Mango Season Sprint. Lets go.

  • Hurry, Im tired of paying a extra $10 a month for 4g and not getting it!

  • @MSP768 Agreed! Im tired of paying for a phone that i cant use in my house!

  • @MSP768 Hey I work for Sprint and have been a customer for over 10 years, just wanted to mention that the 10 extra dollars is for true unlimited data rather than the 4g capacity... I hope that hepls you wait it out for the faster connection..

  • @MSP768 I hope you know the $10 is NOT for 4G coverage. It's for "premium data" - whatever the fuck they consider "premium" data, and applies to all smartphone. Every carrier has been charging extra fee for smartphone usage on their plan. The only thing is they don't tell you unless you. At least shitty Sprint has the decency to tell you before you sign up.

Also, as I said on my comment below, if you currently don't have any 4G coverage, don't count on getting it at all. Sprint is going LTE.

  • @KuLuPee916 Dude, I know all the exact terms, I work for Sprint! I was just saying that because when they frist started it, it was only a extra $10 for 4G. Yeah I knew they were switching to LTE months ago, which is a great thing! WIMAX is total crap.

  • @MSP768 Not getting on your case, but, well, if you worked for Sprint, you'd know the $10 was never for 4G to begin with (though everyone made it seem like it was). And if you knew months ago that Sprint was going to switch to LTE, you should also already know that they will stop expanding WiMax coverage, which if you knew this, I don't understand why you made your original comment in the first place. If it wasn't for Sprint's cheap plan and unlimited data, I would have left long ago.

  • @MSP768 It's based on 2GB option for smartphone and $10 per data overage Exam AT&T & Verizon.

  • @MSP768 4g isnt what your paying for, your paying for data services in general.. androids use more data than other phones.. they charge you for that "obsesive" data usage

  • @MSP768 The $10 data add on is for ALL SMART-PHONES regardless of 3G or 4G because smart-phones use way more data. This add on is so that Sprint can continue to provide unlimited data to their customers.

  • can anyone load youtube over 3g i have htc evo 4g (never used 4g,san diego)

it takes like 5 min to load a video then it says there was a problem with the server touch to retry... WTFFFFF my friend has tmobile and streams youtube like nothing.

I cant wait for this "upgrade"to come ....

  • Sounds nice.Need it NOW

  • Sounds good. Now get it done Sprint!

  • Go Sprint!

  • Finally, a company that gets it and is actually getting ahead of the curve. No one else is doing this. Sprint is going to kill it once this is completed!

  • I feel like this isn't going to actually happen for like 10 years

  • Sounds good 2 me. Please get rid of wimax it's garbage. I can hardly drive a mile down the road in a good wimax area and the signal dumps, it hardly ever works indoors it's just crap. It only works good if you stand underneath the tower and don't move.

  • Sprint is great, but until the 4G network gets here I can't stream data and voice at the same time.

  • The complaint is having technology and not being able to use it.

  • stop complaining about paying for the premium data! I'm pretty sure your still paying less then another carrier besides Tmobile (and there is a reason for that)

  • =_=' i cant even make calls or send/receive texts at my own home

  • @SYR19949 There is a solution for that. just call and ask.

  • The $10 fee isn't for 4G, it is to keep up with high data usage of Android phones without canceling unlimited data like Verizon and T-mobile.

  • yea... I am paying for 4G and only using 3G

  • get rid of the 10 dollar "premium data" fee!

  • evdo rev b awsome its about time sprint

  • Dose this also include Virgin Mobile and Boost mobile?

  • Parden me, I was one of the first few to purchase an Evo 4G that came with an extended data attachment. If you purchased a phone within the last year it is surely 4G

  • well Sprint if this is your vision, you should hurry up!

  • Yeah because all the new phones are 4G phones. Point is we are paying for technology we don't have. Why sell 4G phones while a total 4G network is years off. Hey Sprint! Can I get that money back? I mean, I can't talk and stream data at the same time.

  • All sounds great, but I'm still paying for 4G and only getting 3G

  • @TruthisWisdom not anymore, all smartphones get that charge now, 4G or not :p

  • @TruthisWisdom you arent paying for 4G, i thought the same thing.

people with non 4G phones are paying $10, i find it not fair, but hey we still paying the bill, right? :p

  • All sounds great, but I'm still paying for 4G and only getting 3G

  • sprint needs 4g lte

  • way go sprint keep good job and i pray for guys. thanks

  • I hope the Verizon executives are watching this and taking notes....

  • Go Sprint!

  • doesn't fix anything. so much happier with AT&T

  • Thank you sprint

  • Nice.

  • When does this come out, because right now i have slow and bad coverage.
