If you read the rest of the comment from the person who uploaded it, you can download it from the link thats there. Sadly, this demo is old, and I think it would be awesome if he finished it, but doubt he will add any more characters or anything.

and by the way, I have successfully altered the sprites used, so I can get new characters without any trouble. I have made all models in ZX, Zero series(nearly all are usable) characters, X series X and Zero, and also classic. I may help you with spriting, but I do not know a thing about programming. I hope I can contribute somehow to this awesome game. Thank you for sharing. :)

Can i ask something about the game? I downloaded it and I thought it awesome... but some time later it started to lag a lot and the charecters movements are slower than before... oh and anotehr thing If i select to play as Grey in battle it shows Ashe... i checked the sprite files and there's no files with grey... so why having Grey selectable?

About Grey, it was a college project so it looked better to have an extra character even if I didn't have the sprites for him, the professors don't know a thing about Megaman anyway.

Did you have many other programs open? The demo you downloaded draws the graphics using the CPU and not the graphics card, so if you have other programs open that uses a lot of CPU the game might slow down.

I'm planning on porting this game to a new and better engine during the summer, which will fix that problem.

It's only a demo, you can't play as any other characters except for those 7 yet. Prometheus is probably the last character that would ever become playable because he needs custom sprites, I don't have the spriting skills to make them and no one else wants to create them so that's a bit of a problem.

im sorry if you explained this but i cant seem to figure this out, when i select a character i press enter and nothing happened i tried hitting random keys and nothing.. i went to options to change the controls and when i press a key nothing happens. can you help me?

Make sure that the keys you pressed aren't already assigned to the other player. Just clear player 2's keys and you can use assign every letter, the arrows or the nupad keys.

The enter key is only used to confirm things in the main menu. To confirm or return in the character select screen you use the dash (confirm) or jump (go back). This is because 2 players need to select their characters and they can't both do that with the enter key.

The demo is very nice... only critisim I can give is that the ghosts are extremly annoying to take out with swords being that they don't flinch + they hurt you when they touch you... but PvP battles are extremly nice! keep up the good work!

I used a 2D game engine written by my college professor which I expanded to suit my needs. Both are written in managed C++.

It depends on your programming skills really. C++ or C is the language most professional game developers use because you have full control of your resources.

Another good environment to create games is Microsoft's XNA Studio. The language is C# and you can even create games for the Xbox360 with it.

Gamermaker and Multimedia Fusion are easier but also much more limited.

Each character has his own theme. When the battle starts, it checks which theme player1 and which theme player2 has, then out of those 2 it randomly selects the music.

In Arcade mode it always uses the theme of the CPU player.

I would like that. Pandora isn't a problem, but I can't create custom sprites, only small edits. And for Prometheus to work ingame I'd need running and jumping sprites for him, which need to be custom made.
