  • These puppies are beautiful!

  • What amazes me is people will worry about what people are doing to their pets and at the same time, cram fat, grease and all kinds of poison into their fat asses and not skip a beat. They're dogs and their tolerance for pain is off the charts compared to humans. Some of you people need to realize that fact. If you want something to worry about. Go to the Childrens Hospital and volanteer your time to sick and dying children. Not what people are doing to their pets. Seriously.

  • Ear cropping is considered the breed standard for many purebred dogs, including the Doberman, but purebred dogs are not required to have cropped ears according to the AKC Standards. Cropping can also help eliminate potential health problems due to long, floppy ears, such as ear mites and infections. Its just safer and healthier for the breed.

  • YOu should have that patented. Great piece

  • omg whats up guys with you i mean hello =( wake up

  • WHERE CAN I FIND EAR HOLDER LIKE THEM

  • can you please make a video on how u made that ear holder? it seems so much better than tapping. it wou;d be so helpful (:

  • Some people are just stupid!! Docking their tail is not just cosmetic one of my dogs tail had to be cut cause he broke it and the vet told us that usually with breeds like boxers and dobermans they have to be cut for that reason!!! Dumbasses!!!!!

  • dobermans should have floppy ears and a tail at the end of the day

  • @petercaveney17 fuck off

  • @jozeaphe erm no, how about you fuck off and actually make an arguement rather than being an ignorant piece of shit? Yeah thought so.

  • @petercaveney17 Get bent.

  • @jozeaphe haha

  • I enjoy your videos on your dobermans, very nice looking, what kind of ear peice is that to help their ears stay up, Beautiful dogs....

  • the ear holders are brilliant. you needed to turn that into a business. lol

how long would you keep them on their ears like that?

  • Great job you did with these earholders. I got my first Doberman 10 days ago and I would like to ask you about his food. He is 3 months old and weighs 10 kg, according to the instructions he should eat daily 175 gr but he looks too skinny to me. I see your puppies look much "fuller", how much did you feed them back then?

  • I can't believe that those ear supports can stay on through all of that play. How much maintenance is involved in keeping them on? How are the ear tips fastened to the frame? Could you please post a video of you constructing these and placing them on one of your Dobermans? I hae a 7 month old with one droopy ear and want to put this semi-permanent? device on there. Tks

  • ISMAELSBABY.... I have been owned and loved by 7 Dobies in the past 32 years. I let someone talk me into leaving my Gunner's ears natural, and he suffered all of his life with ear infections. Great advice to your day, too bad the Dobie has to suffer for the sake of your uninformed, inexperienced opinion. Arf !

  • i feel soo bad when their ears get cropped! i convinced my dad to not get our dobie's ears cropped and leave them as mother nature intended. but whatever floats ur boat

  • Actually it was man who bred the flopped ear trait into the domesticated dog.....so your statement is kinda like a contradiction

  • @ticker693 oh whatever I just didn't want my dog in particular to be in a painful procedure!

  • actually they give the puppie a local anesthetic so the dog doesn't feel quite as much pain as say when you neuter or spay your dog. Is your dog fixed??? So you'll cut your dog's balls off before you'll trim his ears???

  • I'm getting my dobe in a few weeks and I would have him docked if it wasn't illegal here in Australia, it just goes with the breed of dog, it's always been that way, we have the "do gooder's" here in Oz that put a stop to all of that stuff

  • I want another puppy so bad! I think the headgear is just cute. Reminds me of those awkward days when I had headgear for my braces! LOL

  • Does the head gear work on boxers ??

  • The people you need to be ballbusting are those illegal dogfighters......I think its wrong and unnecessary. This ear cropping and tail docking is what makes the breed and is the least of any animallover's worries.

  • Ok all of you who are against Ear Cropping and Tail docking....of coarse you all have a right to an opinion AND SO DOES THE BREEDER! We don't just chop off body parts of the dog for the hell of it. Each alteration serves a purpose other than cosmetic. There is very little if at all to no pain envolved in either procedure. Its no different than spaying or neutering a dog....or for that matter.... circumsizing a baby boy. Circumsizing is purely cosmetic.

  • Clipping the tail causes physical problems at later life (as early as of 6 years old). don't do it if you love or value your dobie!

Your dog will have a healthier and happier life (not to mention a longer one).

  • Addendum: Cliping tails will cause their backs/hips to go rigid even faster (two symtoms that plague the race badly).

Not clipping will allow them to move in a more balanced way.

The tail is there for a good reason!!!

  • they are protection dogs, they donot need a tail

  • Actually hip disfunction occurs in the breed whether you dock the tails or not. Furthermore, its not been proven that docking their tails shorten the life span of the dog. As long as you take the dog to a good, licensed vet....and make sure it gets a check up at least once a year, then I don't see the problem.

  • fawn one is the boss lol

  • thats awfull i have dobermans myself and thats cruelty do u no how much pain that inflicts! how about cut ur finger off and half ur hear and then ul see!

  • Hmm, looks to me like these dogs are happy.

  • this ear docking thing is only to please the human eye, so why do it?

    It's totally useless

  • I have a question, its maybe a domb one but okay. What is that helmett thing on there heads? Is that for the ears so they stand up ore something? They look beautifull even with the helmetts on

  • Oh, and BTW...the animals in the video look pretty happy and healthy to me....they don't look abused. So maybe some of you ppl need to channel your self-righteous indignation to somewhere where it's needed. Thank you.

  • Re: Docking ears and tails on dobies and boxers: It is a matter of choice. I think these breeds are beautiful either way. If an owner/breeder wants to do this (either for cosmetic reasons or if they show them) as long as they have it done in a SAFE, HEALTHY, MANNER...tell me just WTH business is it of anyone else?

  • how much are the pups

  • Cool way to put up the ears, it looks like a head brace and much more comfortable than having straight tape on their ears. I love dobermans! Especially when they have their tails docked and ears cropped--they look so elegant.

  • Dobies with cropped ears look sweet. It's probably a big contributing factor to their popularity. Looks like a pain in the butt though.

  • Kristine from the same forum wrote: "In the US, the same groups that want to outlaw docking are often the same people who have been (succesfully in places) pushing through MANDATORY spay/neuter at four months old even though the veterinary community in large part agrees that this is medically inadvisable. That's what I want: more idiotic laws that counteract sound medicine."

  • What a hypocrisy - all this anti-ear cropping histeria !! All you people should read this excellent observation: "People in the western world don't consider circumcision in male babies "uncivilized" and that's a pretty common cosmetic practice that the baby has no choice in and, from the same argument, it's a cosmetic procedure that is inflicted on it. "

  • Maybe you ought to amend that to "SOME people in the western world......" The "INFLICTED" bit is right though.

  • Geez.. so now your referring to getting them cut off with sissors, no wonder you think cropping is so cruel. Like I stated before, its no different than any other cosmetic precedure! They don't just take sissors and start hacking off ears. Have you ever had a puppy that went through getting its ears cropped. I have on many occasion. That day they are up running and playing, if done right, Cropping is a way of hacking up a dog.. like I said.. you plp are morons!

  • They are morons! The people that just can't keep their nose out of other peoples business. The people I can not stand. Laws for this laws for that, I wish a law would ban nosey people that think they know everything and don't know sheet!

  • Also, Alojz is a great breeder and my friend. He is very well respected in the Dobermann world. If all you can do is sit on youtube all day and be rude to people on your stupid beliefs of cropping and docking, you need a life!!

  • To the idiots commenting how cruel it is to crop and dock, you are morons, I OWN one of these puppies, Hes 9 months old and never minded his ears taped. Docking and cropping may be cosmetic, but its no different t han a boob job or anything like that! As long as its done correctly, it does not cause them pain!

  • Wow!! It is no different than "a boob job or anything like that!" You really put things in accurate perspective for me. And for that, I thank you.

So: When are we going to cut your ears in half? Please tell me as soon as possible, because I want to have my scissors nice and sharp, prepared to slice your ears in half.

Please keep in mind, kind sir, I will give you some pain killers, so it will not hurt in the slightest.

    All is well then, yes???

I thank you for your very logical understanding.

  • It is my fear that I have not made myself completely understandable: I think you are an asshole.

    --Matt

  • Buenas!! Donde podría conseguir un mecanismo como ese para las orejas de mi perro? O como lo podría hacer? Un saludo

  • Make a deal with your local vet that trims ears. split it 50/50. u shud do this bc I wud spend 20-30 on one. I spent hours trying to hold up my dogs ears with stupid stuff. Id pay to do it once and leave it.

  • well you're insane if you dont go on american inventor. They luv stuff like this. Do u know how many dogs get their ears clipped? There are 1000 products for stupid things for pets but none for the ears like this. Id patent this stuff or maybe get a deal with a pet shop to sell them. Id take these videos down until u cover urself

  • where did u get that ear holder?

  • I Made it Myself from wire with ca 3 mm diameter and lined with ribbon at section in contact with jaw.

  • @jamesgambino:

only used by guays who do not know how to tend the ears when cut

  • Oh dear! Soooo defensive, O6jkeidel. I wonder why. But maybe it's because you are "a 20 year old college student", (therefore you know everything, right?). Gosh, maybe some of us aren't so wet behind the ears. Yes these dogs appear to be extremely happy and healthy now that they,ve recovered from the pain of their ops. And yes, people who mistreat their dogs in other ways deserve to be horsewhipped but that does nothing to excuse ear cropping.

  • Additionally, to everyone complaining about cropping and docking: this man clearly takes care of his dogs. They are very visibly happy and healthy dogs. Why don't you put some focus on people who beat the hell out of their dogs rather than this guy?

  • Humans can opt against cosmetic surgery, but dogs aren't so lucky. We choose for them—and we often choose painful, unnecessary procedures such as ear-cropping and tail-docking. To give certain breeds so-called "desirable" traits, unscrupulous veterinarians

  • well we are at the top of the food chain...

  • Actually, dogs like Dobermans have thick, heavy tails. Not cropping them leaves them susceptible to cuts and open wounds that get infected and hurt terribly when the tails hit furniture and other hard, stationary objects. Ear cropping is also often a health issue. Dogs like dobermans are prone to ear infections without proper air flow to the ears. Cropping the ears is often a HYGIENIC ISSUE, not cosmetic. You should learn your facts before you get on your high-horse.

  • What a lot of self-justifying hooey. Dobermanns are very special dogs, but not so special that they cannot have ears and tails like other breeds. How come there are so many labs around which have never had an ear infection in their lives - and talk about thick heavy tails - the dont come much thicker ao heavier & I dont see too many f them that are " infected and terribly hurt". Why not just admit that this is barbaric but you do it because you prefer the result.

  • Like I said before: You should probably put your focus on men and women beating the hell out their dogs rather than people cropping and docking. Look how happy and healthy those dogs are. We had a rescue dobe whose ears were not cropped and we had to clean his ears every other day or else he would get infections due to lack of air flow. I've never cropped a dog's ears or docked a tail. I'm a 20 year old college student, so don't tell me what kind of result I do or do not prefer.

  • Same old argument huh? Well same old reply - you can't justify this mutilation on the grounds that other peole beat their dogs.

  • totally agree with you !

  • Why have you put that on their ears what benefit is it ??? why not put it on your own ears ..........

  • ITs to make their ears stand strait after cropping you douche

  • that is disgusting.

  • Beautiful... Did you make that cropping device or is that something you can buy? It looks better than popsicle sticks and tape. lol
