(Nice solo by the way) Also what was the multi key device (bunch of square buttons? Is it hard to sync the video and audio track? Anyways very cool video and playing as always. I use Final Cut Pro for all video editing.

I use a Blue - Baby Bottle for vocals and a Shure SM57 for trumpet.

The multi-key device you see is a Korg Midi Studio Controller. It basically allows me to trigger different sounds with each button. That is how I am able to play all the drum parts.

Multi-tracking is just like any other activity, with just a little bit of practice anyone should be able to do it!

Hey Greg, what FX chain do you have for your trumpet tracks? I think I see you using a Shure b57 - I borrowed a mate's and can't get anything likel the clarity of sound you get. Any tips would be appreciated. I'm using Reaper and Reason6 rewired

@mooretrumpet Hey, I use logic to record and edit. My chain depends on what kind of track it is (background, solo, color stuff) but I usually do EQ, compressor, then have a send to a reverb track.

Greg, thanks for your reply. Mine is similar (m-class EQ and compressor in Reason and send to RV7000 Verb (usually a hall preset)) but my EQ settings obviously aren't as good as yours. Sorry to press the issue, but could you specify some frequency and gain settings for your EQ (or a logic preset I'll look up)? I'm just really jealous of how your trumpet sound is both clear and warm (without being tinny). Good on you mate

@TheBig5Brass PM me your email address. I am out of town for the weekend but when I get back to my computer at home I can take some screen shots of the different EQ's I use. It's different for every track and song.

I first listen to the track solo and EQ until I think it sounds best, then I listen to it in context and make some final adjustments to get it to sit right within the whole track.

I'm far from an expert on the subject but would be glad to share any insight I have!
