  • Gee, I thought I explained this earlier. This is not about sexuality. It's more akin to the fatalistic philosophies of the European Calvinists.

  • Im sorry but we have to face facts. These people are the greatest pop band of the 20th century!

  • I agree!

  • after all these years, ABBA are still as original as always

  • Uwielbiam tańczyć do tej piosenki!Dużo pozytywnej energii!

  • Sorry Guys, i thought I heard Bjorn passed away, i have not been in Youtube in some time and didn't see your messages to me.

  • Sweden was going downhill for a long time. In response to Nazi Germany, they legalized faggotry in 1944. That was shameful!

  • how the hell is that shameful. learn to live and love. the only shameful thing is you

  • Faggotry/Rugchewery is not love, it's unholy lust for the same sex.

  • agreed.

  • I lived in Sweden for a while in the 90s, beautiful country and a model society for the most part - though there are a few racists in the midst.

Well guess what, If you feeling threatened and feel the need to keep your ass to the wall, go move to Iran - I believe homosexuality is still illegal there. And they won't mind if you complain about Jews either.

  • I suppose you believe a model society to be one which allows Muslims to overrun towns and beat up Jewish people who are celebrating one of their holidays, and get away with it.

If not, then I guess you didn't live in Malmö.

Don't know about you, but I don't think a model society would give a maximum of 1.2 years for rape crimes.

  • I want Moose-limbs back in the Moose-limb countries and I want Kikes back in Palestine where they belong! Niggers should go back to Africa as well. They are all incompatible with white/White Civilization. Also, unlike most, I'm proud to be White!

  • hahahaha you are the biggest dumb ass ever! if you dont know anything about sweden the keep your mouth shut.

  • I am partially of Swedish descent...and I know more about Sweden and its history than you could imagine. I am sorry that my ancestral lands are now under the cloven hoofs of the Talmudic, Illuminist, Satanist, Freemason Jewvandals and their mud hordes.

Xuxalina14Rihhia88, a true Aryan and Viking!

  • awesome comment

  • @Xuxalina14Rihhia88A

I suppose you already know about Hitler's support of Muslim causes and Haj Amin Husseini's raising 2 SS divisions for Hitler?

Those Muslim Nazis then attacked Christians and Jews (who fought and died together against the Muslims and Nazis) in the Balkans and elsewhere.

As far as I remember, it has been Muslims who were causing massive problems in Sweden, not jews, not christians, just Muslims. So now you attack others that Muslims attack.

    Smart.

  • I don't like Moslems anymore than I like Jews; and yes, I wish Moslems would go back to their countries...however, the pathogen is the Jew and the Muslim is but the symptom. The Jews in the various govts of Europe, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand are bringing in Muslims to turn them against whites and that is just wrong, dead wrong. They want incompatible races to battle it out while the Jews make off with the fruits of we whites' labors! Screw Israhell!

  • @Xuxalina14Rihhia88A

Have you considered the problem is elites unconcerned with their own countries, not jews. I am quite unconvinced that this is a plot for the simple reason that large groups of people are terrible at carrying out conspiracies. Try even getting a football club to keep quiet about their hiring. They don't and often can't.

You think in terms of races, they don't. They think in terms of their own individual benefit. People here act on a mad idea of tolerance and pride.

  • "What," someone asks here, "is a waterloo"? I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'll opt for laugh. Poor soul.

  • What is a waterloo?

  • Town in Belgium, place where Napoleon was actually defeated

  • Cool thanks

  • who won the eurovision contest last year???

    cannot remember can you???

this was some 30years plus ago...

    and as good as then...

  • BTW: Do you recognize the host of the show in the first 5 seconds of this video.

The guy on the left with the giant afro and the bad dance moves? Its.....JAY LENO!!!

  • is that really Jay Leno? It looks like him.

  • This is a very cute and fun song. We need that these days!

  • Exactly, you're in the 21st century now, obviously you have no perspective on life, only the now, yourself & one day soebody just like you will look back on your era and say te same thing about you & your peers, how narrow minded you are!

  • you werent born too late, you just have good taste

  • I always marvel at the fact that these three musicians put out these songs in the beginning without speaking a word of English. Waterloo for sure was the song that they just memorized the words. Wonder if they knew what the heck they were singing when they were doing certain actions? Why is it once anyone makes it big everyone starts cutting them down & flinging mud? ABBA wasn't racist. Don't think they were pro anything except good music. And they did sing in Swedish as well as English.

  • Most musicians will agree that this is pretty damn near perfection. Just try to copy it, or better yet, try to make it sound better. As for the racist comments I just find it totally silly. And they were the first band ever that tried to reach out by singing to their respective audiences in the language spoken at the place, even though most of their songs were originally written in Swedish.

  • pay your taxes, white boy/ !

  • I noticed that too.. Don´t know why so many were put in their video.

  • Maybe because ABBA was more "American oriented", that's also the reason why they used to sing in English instead of Swedish, and also because they seemed to be very left-wing, "anti-racist", you know...

  • Ah.. I´d say that´s the only bad thing about them.

  • me gusta la fuerza que transmiten las canciones de Abba.

I like the force that the songs of abba transmit.I love Abba

  • As a musicstudent knowing how difficult it can get, to do the song the right way I just have to say, there have been many very good bands ou there in the 20th century but ABBA simply plays in another class. Everything what they made was so damn professional, they havent produced one bad barr in her songs, and for me no band have ever come near to them!

  • They were the "gift" that kept on giving. If the Beatles were their Fab Four, then ABBA was ours. There was no such thing as a filler song on any ABBA album. The ABBA Mystic consisted of vocalists Agneta Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), along with music and song writers Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus. The four poured their hearts and souls into every song, otherwise, the music would not have been deemed "releasable" according to ABBA's highest of standards and expectations.

  • actually, I see what you are saying. Its not that I don't like the song (I love it!), its just that I could see it being the background music of a murder scene somehow, in a creepy, the music is playing but the only person listening is now dead sorta way.

  • young full of energy and ambition

  • Hard to believe they are in thier 60s and 70s.

  • hmmm..60's yes..but don't think any of them have reached their 70's yet!

  • You are correct, the youngest is 59 and the oldest is 65. No in the group is in there 70s

  • cheochivista No one likes your comment. I don't understand why you think that this would fit in a horror movie but the comment is funny. Some people take music too seriously!!!

  • SD 2010

  • Vad har SD med Waterloo att göra?

  • so flipen awsome!!!! my 2nd favourite abba song!!!!!!! it puts me i in such a good mood! and it doenst matter what generation your in or abba is,cause im 14 and iM the biggest abba fan EVER@!!!!

  • Brings back memories from my pre-teen years. Silly trivia, I know, but this song was the first 25 cents I ever put in a jukebox to hear. The second song I chose was "loco-motion" by Grand Funk - in Hendricks, Minnesota of all places.

  • Anna-Frid is so incredible.

  • Funny enough I origianlly missed quite of a few of the lyrics in this song due to the girls accents. I belive they learned English later and may have just been singing the words at this time. But suddenly i can hear it all clearly! Great song, great group.

  • we were teenagers then

    Oh yeah

  • Doesn't matter if it's your generation or not, music today would not be able to compete with ABBA.

Somebody needs to get cultured and it's you.

  • I'm calling all songs from the 70's and the music before then 'culture'. Without any of it, there would be none of the music we have now.

  • that is true now a days sing about a bunch of crap music back in the days had deeper meaning and tells a story. Abba is really good and there music will live on...

  • I love in 'Muriel's Wedding' when Toni Colette and Rachel Griffith's character are lipsynching this song when the mean girls are beating the crap out of each other in the background.

  • :} groovy y(*.*)y

  • They're great. I dig this band.

  • Wow, just one great song, baby!!!!

  • FFUUUUUUUU

  • I LOVE their music but this video is just proof they couldn't dance. "Let's just stand perfectly still and sing at each other."

  • They also aren't half naked and don't have a snake draped around their necks... Guess they sing well enough that they don't need gimmicks like that. Imagine that! a time when music depended entirely on you know, musical talent!

  • Amen to that! I too remember the good ole days when talent mean't just that, not sluty whores flaunting everything they have to sell a crappy song! Though I would have objected to Anna flaunting a bit more! Gee she was Gorgeous:))

  • Abba music is so cheerful and catchy--Love it!

  • Wow...what a class act you are, FootLover...who taught you to feast on feces? Your inbred folks at the trailler park, maybe?

  • haha, in the 70s my mom was in medical school and she always tried to look just like Agnetha.

  • this looks really old, like 2001 or something.

  • great group terrific song

  • The magic of Abba...

  • Is it just me or does this song have the same rhythm as the Supremes song Baby Love??? O.o

  • was born in the 80's bt in the 90's i used 2 b obessed wiv this band

  • ABBA is one of those things people will never admit to liking, but will play in their cars and sing along like slack jawed yokels.

  • OK, I love ABBA and secretly play and sing along to all their songs, but I'll never admit to that in public --it's just not a guy-thing.

real name witheld - no further comments

  • For all you people who know nothing about ABBA, I suggest you read a couple of really good books about them. They are, and will continue to be the best of the best of all time, well after each of us is dead. To have seen them live, to have been privilidged to hear them in a studio, and to have met, and spoke with them in 1972, is one of the many highlights of my life. They are simply the very best of the BEST!

May all of us listen, learn, and understand what real music is.

    JF

  • awsomeness xD

  • Hey that was the 70's.

  • FANTASTIC SOUND

  • I have no idea what you're referring to but that was freaking hilarious

  • what is with them and that white background. every video has them against a white background

  • they are the BEST!!!!!!!!! I know somebody who met them

  • Comment removed

  • I first had the chance to listen to them 20 yrs ago more or less.. I was 16... I'd never heard about them, but they drove me mad since the first time!! Couldn't say if it's pop, folk, rock&roll or what.. but one thing is true: you can't help to beat your foot ,or your fingers on a table, ore shake your knee... you gotta move. Saw the musical recently in Milan and the actors are great: they sing the songs so well.. they're great.

  • This music transcends all racial barriers.

  • where are they from?

  • sweden

  • My my, they are awesome! OH YEAH!

  • i just know that Agnetha & Anni-Frid do not hate each other ...well. i am just 14 and i love them for me they are the best GROUP IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

  • me yo

  • i love ABBA

  • This sound reminds me of "Murielle's Wedding". Great!

  • Free on youtube!

  • old songs reminds me of good times

  • I heard Frida and Agnetha hated each other? Please tell me that's not true!?

  • It is not true at all. A mutual, albeit, distance is kept between them for security and finacial reasons. Anni-Fidi is a real Princess, after all.

  • Soooooooooooooooooooooooo not!

  • mitico.... specialmente la ballata del ragazzo capellone anno 70.......

  • I watched a special about ABBA on the biography channel and it was made in 2004 I think. Is it true that the only group/person who has sold more records than ABBA is the Beattles and Elvis? Maybe I was too young when ABBA was in their prime but I didn't realize they were that popular.

  • ABBA were an international group. They sang in many languages and toured all over the world. Check out all the different versions of song in other languages.

  • HANDS DOWN THE BEST GROUP EVER!

  • Frida raising her eyebrows at about 1:12 is so cool and I think she really was saying to ANNA 'Yes I'm here too' maybe?

  • lol

  • I love this song!!!

  • TOP

  • No, it's about someone "giving up the war" (Waterloo) and loving somone else.

  • I just loved it..I don't know why I didn't listen to Abba when I was a kid...i was heart broken when I learned Borne passed away last year. If the remake group ever comes to your town, you have to see them, they are great...be sure to dressupfor them...70's style. it's a blast...

  • If your refering to Bjorn of Abba he is still very much alive but suffers from memory loss. Major parts of his earlier life he can't recall.

  • i must do this for school and i must play that female with white hear OMFG-.-

  • lmao.... good luck

  • ABBA LEGEND

    This is Awesome

  • The times are a-changing, the today's monkey is the father of the men of 10000 a.D.

  • WTF?

  • i love the song, but the clothes...*shudder*

  • I like Agnetha's outfit.

  • Correct me if I am wrong. This group is from Sweden. The dude on piano speaks english and wrote all the songs in english because he thought that was the universal language for pop music. The women didn't know english and had to memorize the pronounciation of the words. I found this out because I wanted to hear this music in Swedish, like 99 luftballons by Nina, I know there is a German version besides the english version.

  • ...yes absolutely oui know that for sure..but get them to speak with us now about saying how to say...(I Love You)..as a Swede!...but no video response at all

  • really great song

  • They were awesome and I think it's funny with people asking if music will ever be this good again, but no one understands that the 70 s made so much killer music they did'nt leave nothing left to make that sounds this good again

  • I like Afro Dude at the beginning of this vid.

  • They seemed to be having a great time playing and singing

  • if ya package it right people will buy all sorts of un satisfying crap, this music speaks to the soul, theres no denying , this other stuff is hollow, ABBA HAS REAL MUSICIAN SHIP, AND DEPTH, THANK YOU FOR GOOD MUSIC , REAL MUSIC!
