This video is just to show one of the tacking methods available because different parts require different methods. I actually prefer the dry tack method because it is faster and gives you a more uniform solder fillet on all joints that you will solder. Thanks for you comment I do appreciate it.

Yes, the SMT board build process is automated in today's technology. What you have seen is a rework procedure. Thanks for the comment.

It's best to apply solder to the pad and then apply and heat the component.
