  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I LOVE YOU!!!

  • thanks a lot for the tutorial...it helped me greatly

  • just what I needed for my RPG, thanks!

  • How can I add the font? Because he wants to make it huge.

  • Where can i find the two layers (pictures) you used in this? i wanna know

  • @TheGameCreator13 in the description there is the .PSD file wich you can open in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, there will be the 2 layers unused.

  • @GazelaA4 I don't have Photoshop and are not planning to so that's what i was asking

  • I comment again to inform you of something: this video has been uploaded on an other account with lesser quality, found here: watch?v=stzwcQJBXzY

I don't know if it's a second account of yours, I just wanted to infrom you about it in case it is not. That video also adds the file and said it was made my the user so just in case you did not upload it twice you might want to do something about it.

  • Simple concept done AMAZINGLY well!

  • Thanks a lot !

  • for what game.. sorry if is a stupid question...

  • Cool idea, although the amount of bays and ridges you did on the coastline make the continents look more like smallers islands. This type of coastline is specific to fjords, which are present in glacial areas - since continents cover much larger space than a glacial area could possibly cover, you would usually make the rest of the continent with a different kind of coastline to make it look more real (well, it depends on the world you want to make too).

  • This works just fine with GIMP so that everyone is aware.

  • Jay Leno Isle :T

  • thanks man XD

  • how did u erase the layer and have the dark outline... srry im new to photoshop

  • For those people who don't like WINRAR, there's a perfectly good alternative: 7zip, which is free and opens zips and rar files! (^_^)/

  • thank you very much for the tutorial , you helped me a whole lot :D keep up the good work!

  • Great, Epic and simple. GOOD WORK.

  • Eeeeeeew....RAR Files...

  • @Blackbrood401

    Eeeeeew.

A man that dislikes RAR files.

  • @Turtan4 I just don't like WinRAR, It's an awful file extractor in my opinion...however it's only my opinion, so if you like it, it's not my prerogative to judge your taste in software as it is not yours to judge mine.

  • @Blackbrood401

It's not a opinion if you don't like winrar.

It's a fact that you're too stupid to use it.

  • @Turtan4 Now we've reverted to 4th Grade name calling, nice. How about I just use a .zip file instead? Oh no, that's right, It's too easy and doesn't require a 6-year-old argument to accomplish. Come on dude, It's not my fault that you haven't hit puberty yet, don't take it out on me.

  • @Blackbrood401

    .zip files aren't that good.

  • @Turtan4 They work for me well enough, what's not good about them? Their job is to compress files, not paint your house.

  • @Blackbrood401

    Wrar is alot more common.

    And it has better compression...

It also paints your house if you want it to.

  • @Turtan4 If you can find a way to get WinRAR to paint my house, I'll use it, this shade of green I have right now needs a good cover up...

  • This is incredible. Fantastic idea, and it turned out looking amazing! Thank you so much!

  • how can your sprite walk on the map? ^_^ , the map looks like from (fire emblem 2)

  • hay this might help :D

  • simple and brilliant- looks great too!

  • This is a very good tutorial thanks

  • Thank you!

I'm sure this will be most helpful ^_^

  • Hn. GIMP doesn't seem to do it either.

  • @demonxrazgriz Really? That's strange. Someone confirmed that it worked on GIMP, I guess not ... Well, the only other option would be Photoshop, sorry.

  • @ILoveMyMatty With a plugin, you can actually use Paint.Net. Great free program. Sorry if that's an advertisement :p

Great video! You did a great job. It looks very professional.

  • @ILoveMyMatty Where can i get the garamond font??

  • Awesome job. Any way to keep the edges of the "land" part dark like in this video using Paint.Net?

  • @demonxrazgriz No, I don't think so. You see, that dark line is configured into the layer style options, which can be read by Photoshop and GIMP, but I don't think Paint.net can read these layer styles. So I'm sorry, but no :(

You can try GIMP though, since it's free.

  • Great tutorial :)

just one problem. The photoshop download didnt work :(

  • @xXWisconsinGirlXx That's my fault, I had updated the map maker and added a new version, I just forgot to put a new link up in the description. It's updated now.

  • Wow ... this is really cool and looks REALLY easy. GOOD JOB :)

  • what games is she making? COOL! wait is it a game?

  • @purplemint11 It's a Map Maker for to program RPG Maker. It can be used for other programs aswell, though.

  • Oooh this is pure gold!! Thanks, Celianna!! I can't wait to check this out!

You're pretty innovative, you know that? :) Great ideas!!! Looks gorgeous!

  • Are you using a tablet?

  • No, I do not, I have always used a mouse.

  • @ILoveMyMatty Oh cool. Cause it looks like you were using one that's all :)

  • Smart and effective. I love the way you think Celianna. :3

  • wow. thank you :3
