  • i like your computer

  • nerd

  • @lubomirshengie no, he's a geek

  • Chrome FTW

  • Chrome is really the best browser web

  • What's the name of the extension that you used to view your extensions?

  • @NickRoeder i wanna know this too

  • @TheJoshuaPitts Opera is 14 years old, no wonder :)

  • @TheCheapWayGamer I agree

  • that is quite possibly the coolest thing ever :D

  • cant you already do this in the normal google chrome?

  • the difference between chromium and chrome is that one is for windows and the other one is for mac? i am confused..

  • @Skr0s Chrome is basically googles branded version of chromium with a few added additions such as a automatic updater.

  • This is awesome ;)

  • just using Share-a-Holic extension

  • Well i have four pcs couple with xp and couple with 7.................. tell me guys can this work for me

  • That is really cool! really,

  • Oh shit, Chris. Dolce and gabbana is a codename for a kid at my school whom is ...unsavory to say the very least, and sort of a creeper, and hearing you say it sort of made me bust out laughing at 4:30 AM

Also, I use that theme Tiesto, because it's an AMAZING eurotrance DJ's theme. DJ tiesto.

  • will switching from google chrome to Chromium Nightly results with faster browser???

Can I sync everything I have on my chrome to Chromium nightly builds???

  • makes me lol at how google now knows everything about you, or at least everything you do online.

  • @ctoon6, That's why I keep telling Chrome users to switch to SRWare Iron. It's a Chromium alternative without the components that send back data to Google, it might not use the latest builds but it's better to know that Google isn't spying on you. The interesting thing is, Google only knows a limited amount of information about you, the user, for profiling purposes. Your ISP on the other hand knows everything you do online as you, the person— legally they are two very different things.

  • @ilabstudios I was aware of the srware alternative, however does the syncing still work?

  • @ctoon6, Yes everything works perfectly. Although I prefer to use Xmarks for syncing bookmarks. The only thing it doesn't have is automatic updating, which isn't a big deal. The reason why Iron prefer to use older builds is because most of the time the later builds aren't as stable and cause add-ons to stop working. I've never used Chrome as I don't see any advantage, it's like buying a branded phone locked to a network, same phone but they might sneak in additional software.

  • @ilabstudios So which browser do you prefer? I personally don't care for a few milliseconds less in loading time, most browsers today are fast enough anyway. Firefox 3.6 is fast enough and its addons are unrivaled.

  • @pratt123, My main browser of choice has always been SRWare Iron, after switching back from FF several times. To me it's more about simplicity rather than complexity, it's the little things about Chromium that I like. eg, One-click addon install without reloading browser, each tab runs in it's own process, the UI takes less real estate on the page, CSS/XHTML rendering is much better resulting in faster page loading, flash playback is faster/smoother and causes no crashes and list goes on. :-)

  • Windows Live Sync does the same thing.

  • This has been added into the Google Chrome dev builds. I recommend using Google Chrome rather than Chromium since Chromium does not include codecs, h.264, due to licensing restrictions. Chrome is usually more stable than Chromium even on the dev channel.

  • Awesome! I had the latest build of Chromium, but I didn't notice the sync feature. Very cool.

  • lmao

  • hi, my names jordan. and Chromium was my idea. i cant wait for that commercial lol

  • Is it possible to keep the nighty builds to automatically update to the newest build?

    If so, how?

  • MACS are for gay people.

  • @spizec MAC is the cosmetics and Mac is the computer.

So some gay guys might consider MAC cosmetics if they wear make up, so you're correct.

  • @ReneAlanisJr LOL Dude that's funny.

  • The world finally heard me. I always knew Chromium would be the best. MUHAHAHAHA

  • @RishiKnows Define "buggy". They work absolutely fine for me, and I've been using them for months. Sure, I've come across a few crashes here and there, but no software is perfect and the performance increases I've noticed (and benchmarked) from chromium vs other browsers is worth it to me, plus the fact that nightly builds get new features added faster than stable releases.

  • @mayhempk1 saying ff is like Ie is life saying God is like the devil

  • @ultimatebman >imlpying that web browsers are related to religion.

  • pro shit right there son

  • That looks awesome. Seamless.

  • Totally wicked

  • Mac book noob

  • Is their a chromium for win7 64bit

  • @gamerplay Yes, it works fine on it... Why not try it and find out instead of asking?

  • Cool! When will Google Chrome implement this?

  • @AitchKay Never. You don't get it. Google Chrome USES the Chromium base, but they will never have nightly builds of it, they will only take the stable releases of Chromium and make newer versions of Google Chrome with them and make optimizations that they think are good. Google Chrome already uses the Chromium base. Your comment and question are fail. :(

  • @mayhempk1 Not quite - the only thing I fail at is being a nerd like you! I bet you know everything about computers but know nothing about women, sport and life in general! LOL!

  • @AitchKay Why are you watching a video about technology and computers then, smartass? There is no such thing as "life in general", you mean "sports" not "sport", and I do know about women, I've had lots of GF's thank you very much. Kindly fuck off, you unintelligent, basement dwelling, troll bastard.

  • @mayhempk1 1) Watching a video about tech does not make anyone a nerd (like you!)

    2) You need to go back to school and learn English properly you retard!

    3) You have never had a girlfriend you virgin loser!

    4) You are the troll as you started this shit you punk!

  • @AitchKay How do I need to learn English properly? I got my report card today, and I got a 93 in English. Also, what you said is very contradictory. If I was a nerd, I would be smart, that is a common known fact. But if I am smart and a nerd, how could I also be a retard? That doesn't make sense. And for the record, no I didn't start "this shit", and yes, I've had girlfriends, and no I'm not a virgin. Go lurk more you retard.

  • @mayhempk1 Report Card! LOL! I knew it, you're a dipshit little schoolboy! Go get your homework done before bedtime, you nerdy shit-strarting virgin troll!

  • @AitchKay Cool story bro.

  • now that is cool !! I wish Safari did that too !!!

  • @TheCheapWayGamer FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Firefox does this. There is an addon called XMarks which syncronises bookmarks between machines and it can be used with IE and other browsers. Im never going to use Google Chrome. I love Firefox and my addons too much.

  • @jdcresswell but with opera or chrome, you dont need addons to do basic things.. dont get me wrong, i love firefox, but not as my primary browser.. version 4 looks promising, tho..

  • @jdcresswell

    Chromium > Chrome

    Chromium > Firefox

    Chromium = Opera

  • @jdcresswell with addons, firefox can do just about everything. that's why so many people use it.

  • @jdcresswell, XMarks also runs on Chrome. I've been using it for awhile as I feel uncomfortable allowing Google to spy on my bookmarks. The only thing Chrome does different is syncs themes and preferences too.

  • This is cool. It would suck if you had to sync everything to another computer manually.

  • Thumbs up ! Cool ;-) ;-)

  • Let me introduce to you a thing called Camtasia :D

  • @thehsushoe, You can't use Camtasia to record two desktops on different computers simultaneously. That's why he's using the hand-held, and it's also quick and efficient.

  • @thehsushoe Camtasia sucks.

Hypercam is even better than that crap.

  • @RishiKnows put it this way. Less buggy than the stable builds of Opera and Internet Explorer, and more fast and stable than Firefox. The nightly builds aren't guaranteed to be 100% stable, but it seems fine to me so far.

  • @TheCheapWayGamer your point being? Chromium is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux and functions just as well on either platform. This video is about Chromium, not Macs.

  • Thanks, Chris. This worked perfectly across linux and windows.

Btw. does anybody know how i can sync filters, folder, contactbook from thunderbird?

  • Browser Win

  • I've got Chromium on my mobile =D

  • Shoulda said...if you download believe me...DOWNLOAD IT ;/ why show retarded people proof 10 times?

  • Happy 4th of July

  • this is so old. ^ ^

  • wait so we have to build it or what cause im confused lmao....

  • omg i reeeeaaallly neeeed a mc more than anything i want a mac

    i need a mac

  • @joshuamyler what's he's shown you has nothing to do with macs. Chromium is available for any platform :\

  • i like the ending Chris

  • "totally wicked..."

    It definitely is.

  • ctrl+shift+b

    best default shortcut in chrome

  • Thanks!

  • Opera has this, has had this for a long time . . . Plus its better in any way.

  • LOL chris pirillo

  • Is it better to have Chromium or Chrome dev?

  • @AngryRantingNerd There the same thing.

  • Does it work with GoogleApps? What id you sport multiple google accounts,... does it keep them straight and independent?

  • @TheCheapWayGamer - It's "they're," dumbass. ;)

  • @lockergnome Win

  • @lockergnome not everyone is born in an english speaking country, just so you know.

  • @lockergnome calm down dude

  • @lockergnome but this is internet not an email

  • @lockergnome haha Burn !

  • @lockergnome You're so nice Chris hehe XD

  • @lockergnome Fan boy!

  • @lockergnome owned

  • @lockergnome Not everyone speaks English as their first language, dumbass. ;)

  • YAWN, C'mon Chris when did you wake up? This feature was month ago.

  • Now if only they had an iPhone/iPad app so we could sync everything across over the air...

  • Chris, some extensions I use are LastPass (a universal password manager. It's like the bible to me), Web Of Trust (gives you site ratings and helps you deem their safety level), Adblock (though I know you support ads), Stylish (i'm sure you've heard of this one), too many tabs (an efficient tab overflow manager), Cooliris (hard to describe, best thing is just to check it out, and FFixer (a little kick for Facebook). and lastly, Invisible Hand (an online shopping aid.)

  • Now we just need this for Firefox and it's PERFECT.

  • @AngeloProduction

Well... there's always Firefox Sync. It's nowhere as smooth as this though. Does not update in real-time like this seems to do and as far as I know it does not store any Add-on information. All tabs, bookmarks, passwords and settings are stored though.

    At least it's something.

  • @Cimlite Firefox sucks nowadays. Chrome/Chromium has taken over as the superior browser.

  • @j800r

Chrome is nice and all... but personally I perfer FF. Add-ons/extensions just work better on FF. Things like Adblock, Autopager or even Greasemonkey - I've had problems with them all on Chrome yet on FF they work flawlessly. That's just to mention a few. There are also a lot of extensions not yet even available for Chrome.

  • @Cimlite i've never had a problem with adblock, or any extensions that i've ever used. i have more extensions than i need and each one works almost flawlessly. everyone's always gonna have their browser of choice, but all-round, Chromium is the best. Firefox is only the best for extensions. But you have to remember, it's been supporting them for a lonnnng time now.

  • @Cimlite, Chromium handle add-ons much more efficiently than FF. FF simply feels bloated and slow when you install all those add-ons you listed. Give the developers more time to release better revisions of the add-ons and I can assure you that you will not want to go back. It's like driving a Mercedes or BMW when you've been use to an American-muscle car all your life— nothing is better than precision engineering and simplicity, which the Chromium experience provides you.

  • @ilabstudios

I went ahead and gave Chrome another shot, seems I had it installed. Adblock worked horribly as I remembered it doing... thought that someone had to be wrong. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now it works much better than it did... For some reason it did not auto-update? Or is Chrome lacking that feature (pretty basic stuff if you ask me)?

Personally I can't tell any speed difference between the two though, with similar extensions installed. Not enough to make me switch.

  • @ilabstudios nah, ff is the best browser out there, and I have this thing loaded down with features

  • @ultimatebman ff is not the best at all, it's so slow and bloated, it's becoming like IE.

  • @AngeloProduction Chromium nightly builds > Firefox. Firefox is bloated and slow as fuck. But don't take my word for it, ask other people and if they're not complete fanboys/idiots they will agree.

  • Thumbs up if you hate it when popular videos stop counting views and stop at 304 views and someone posts a comment with thumbs this up if you are the 304th viewer!

  • some1 else is probably doing it on the other computer while chris does it on the other.

  • i was here.

  • Temping but I am just going to stick with Google Chrome :)

  • Great vid Chris! I've been using chrome on windows since early beta. But on my mac I'm stuck with safari. Maybe i'll give Chromium a try after this.
