In addition to those 7, there are two other skill kids in Michael Shaw and Roy Roundtree who, even though they are both 6'0, are/were still incredibly skinny (Shaw is 177, Roundtree was 154). When Roundtree was 154, he got busted up in fall
camp and subsequently missed the entire 2008 season. Then when he buffed up to a more reasonable 174, eh stayed healthy. Shaw meanwhile is a 177 pound fucking tailback, where as every other 6 ft tailback Michigan has had was at least 200 pounds (Carlos Brown, Brandon Minor, Chris Perry, Anthony Thomas, B.J Askew, etc).

Hell, two of our commitments (Tony Drake and D.J Williamson) did not get offers from ANYONE else other then Michigan! (lucily for us, Drake probably won't qualify academically). Actually, Williamson is a low level 3 star commit who is not ranked among the receivers and is only the 46th best recruit in ohio. I give Williamson credit for having blazing speed, but thats not good enough to be a playmaker. Williamson seems to be the next Darrius Heyward Bey, and even Heyward Bey was a 4 star recruit.

When Urban meyer arrivied in Florida in 2005, he scraped the offense he ran at Utah and run a version of the spread that FIT HIS PLAYERS (like the immobile Chris Leak), and then when he got players like Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin, he went back to the misdirection-oriented offense he ran with the Utes.

Brown and Minor were dinged up, but so was Hart throughout 2007, and that didn't stop Carr from utilizsing him and from Hart having 265 carries for 361 yards and 14 touchdowns. Look at the way Minor and Brown ran in every game last season and in 2008: they were fine! We're they 100%? No. But so what? They were healthy enough to play and be playmakers, and dickrod wasted them, just like he;'s wasted the entire team the last two seasons

whats wrong with them is that their bodies aren't big enough to handle the physicality of the big ten, which has resulted in many of them being injured. you need big skill guys like Braylon Edwards, Chris Perry, and Jason Avant to succeed in the Big Ten. Granted, there's execeptions to every rule (for example, Mario Manningham was on the smaller side but was a beast). However, if you looka round the Big Ten, its mostly all size, even among spread teams

I'm simply saying that dickrod has recruited a way to high percentage of scatbacks among the 20 skill kids has has recruited. yes there is. Most of them do not have All-American speed and agility to make up for their lack of size. Most of them are too small to be playmakers in the big ten and have been/will continue to be injured. You need size at the skill positions. Michigan used to have big athletic skill players like Perry, Thomas, Braylon Edwards, Jason aavant, and Adrian Arrington, and those guys stayed healthy and were great.

wrong. Minor and Brown were both mostly healthy in 2008 and 2009. Both were very productive in the playing time that they had. Meanwhile, T-Rob missed the entire 2008 season, Odoms has missed 5 games, Smith has busted his ACL and may have to take a medical redshirt, Toussaint redshirted in 09 cause he fucked himself up in training camp. Ditto Roundtree in 2008. Shaw missed 3 games in 09 and 3 in 08 due to a bad hammy.

This would NEVER have happened in the past, but it did in 2010......after Michigan had gone 8-16 in two seasons........after dickrod was hired. I said that every starter in 2008 SAVE (except/with the exception of/other than/not including, etc) Ezeh and Thompson were blue chip recruits. BTW, although I did NOT say Woolfolk was a blue chipper, he will nonetheless start next season at either strong safety or cornerback. He wasn't great last year, but he wasbn't bad either. He was okay, and now that he's a senior and a returning starter, he should step up to being a good producer next season.

tradition and history as well as the specific coach u play for can only go so far in a pitch to get attention from 5 stars or 4 stars to sign..but if u have a constant winning streak, bowl streak, and sending off about 4-9 players off to the nfl repeatedly (ohio st,usc,florida,oklahoma)obviously theyll have the attention. Look at the classes of Florida, usc, alabama, texas, is it a coincidence that they recruit the top ranked players and get in the top ranked bowls? Yep. This is a bad class. To many "meh" 3 star recruits that MAC teams are after. You can only count on so many 3 stars to be sleepers. Hell, two of our commitments (Tony Drake and D.J Williamson) did not get offers from ANYONE else other then Michigan! (lucily for us, Drake probably won't qualify academically). This 2010 class has been very bad. Its only ranked in the top 20 cause of Devin Gardner

Actually, Williamson is a low level 3 star commit who is not ranked among the receivers and is only the 46th best recruit in ohio. I give Williamson credit for having blazing speed, but thats not good enough to be a playmaker. Williamson seems to be the next Darrius Heyward Bey, and even Heyward Bey was a 4 star recruit.

This fact is backed up by the statistics I gave you on another video (I think it was the Jake Ryan video). Carr landed way more then 3 or 4 good players. He lended MULTIPLE blue chip players who had the talent to be college stars. Some of them worked out, some of them did not. i loved carr but me and my buddys say all the time rich rod did not inherit the best talent look at there classes before rod got there in 06 and 07 and im betting a million dollars almost half of those kids from both classes dont play or has not done anything

even some of the so called "experts" say this too. Even if the talent was there, it was recruited for an entire different ball game. I respect Carr too, he did a great job, but his brand of ball is entirely different than RR's.

again, so what? Its dickrods responsibility to put his players in a position where they can, you know, produce. he failed to do that. He jammed his shitty spread option offense down the teams throat, not to mentioned he didn't fully utilize the likes of Carlos Brown and Brandon Minor and insisted on feeding the rock to unproductive players like Shittavious Odoms and Michael Shaw.Talent is talent. you either coach it up and utilzie it or you don't.

Its doesn't matter that the spread option is what he runs. It was an offense that did not fit michigans skillset, so for dickrod to jam it down the players throats was reckless and irresponsible. When Urban meyer arrivied in Florida in 2005, he scraped the offense he ran at Utah and run a version of the spread that FIT HIS PLAYERS (like the immobile Chris Leak), and then when he got players like Tim Tebow and Percy Harvin, he went back to the misdirection-oriented offense he ran with the Utes.

why couldn't dickrod do the same with Michigan? Here's why: cause he's too stubborn and arrogant to adjust his offense. He's like Barack Obama: he blames everyone else for the problems but himself, even though he's the one who caused them. He's not fit to be the head coach at the University of Michigan, and he's also not qualified per his 8-16 overall record and his 3-13 record in Big Ten play and his 0-2 record against Ohio State.

so what? The fact remains that they had only 177 combined carries in 2009 and 132 in 2008 despite being mostly healthy both seasons. Dickrod underutilized them. Plain and simple. They are fantastic runningbacks, and he underutilzied them. He especially let Brown rot in hell in 2008.

Nope. its not a joke. Minor and Brown were mostly healthy in both 2008 and 2009. Look at how well Minor did when dickrod finally utilized him in the 2nd half of the 2008 season. Look how well he did in the first half of the 2008 season on his very limited touches, when he was scoring a TD like ever 3 touches. were utilized in 2009. When Brown and Minor played, they NEVER played like they were injured. They played like the talented and productive tailbacks that they are. They were supposed to be injured and unable to produce, yet they produced whenever dickrod utilzied them. This clearly means that although they might ahve been digned up, they were healthy enough to play (alot) and to be productive. and yet, dickrod, idiotically, misused them.

Brown and Minor were dinged up, but so was Hart throughout 2007, and that didn't stop Carr from utilizsing him and from Hart having 265 carries for 361 yards and 14 touchdowns. Look at the way Minor and Brown ran in every game last season and in 2008: they were fine! We're they 100%? No. But so what? They were healthy enough to play and be playmakers, and dickrod wasted them, just like he;'s wasted the entire team the last two seasons

I watched every game last season. And I saw two tailbacks who both averaged over 5 yards per carry and who scored lots of touchdowns and who never played like they were injured. Carlos Brown and Brandon Minor will go down as the most misused tailbacks in Michigan history. I feel sooooooo bad for both of them. They deserved better. Hopefully they can make it to the NFL. They were NOT injured like hell. Its just that dickrod didn't utilzie them and sued their supposed "bad injuries" as an excuse

How can you say dickrod did not inherit good talent when half the shcolarship roster in 2008 and 2009 was compsoed of players that the Floridas and USC's of the world live off of? Whether those kids don't play or don't do well is IRRELEVANT to how talented they are. Carr did his job in recruting by consistently bringing in top level talent. This 2010 class does not have top flight talent. Hopefully we get Dorsey, Parker, and Knight. If that happens, then this 2010 class will be the same
