Sounds awesome. I have played that bass before, and it is a monster. Sounds even better live. It is a little hard to play, but the sound is second to none.
Man, this is my all time favorite solo section from Rush. Alex's lonely soaring false harmonic at the beginning against Geddy's frenetic chops and Neils articulate percussion still gives me chills to this day. A VERY fine cover.
My favorite from RUSH and YOU Sir are an amazing bass player! Oh how I wish I could play like you here...
It's painful to watch something so amazing and have no understanding how you do it. I absolutely love the life you breathe into this already amazing song!
You are just amazing! You better be doing something with this talent. Ping me your original work if you are working on a project. I would love to hear your sound on your work.
All the best to you and Hold Your Fire brightly... Anthem
damn man I love this song its great to see a bass cover and you have really unique kickass bass. But I request that you do a bass cover of ghost of a chance from the 1991 album roll the bones. lol
The body is made of alder, and the neck is birdseye maple. The pickups are real Gibson Ceramic Thunderbird Pickups. I only used the rear (bridge) pickup for this, otherwise this bass sounds HUGE with both pickups on
Awesome Cover!! And Nice Custom Bass!! What pickups do you have on that baby? And I'm curious on how much it cost ya, because Warmoth can be expensive, and what type of wood is the body is made of?
Also, is the Geddy J and Fenderbird the only two basses you have in stock?
The pickups are stock Gibson Thunderbird ceramics. The bass probably cost about $2300 to build completely, which isn't that bad really. It was well worth it. This thing sounds HUGE. I only used the rear pickup in this video to get the geddy "wahl" sound, but when both p/u's are on, it sounds massive! I have the Geddy J, Fenderbird, and a P-bass. A Rickenbacker is next though!

Those have to be the best sounding humbuckers I've ever heard on a bass. Wahl pickups are great too, but these beat em' in my opinion.

Excellent playing man-do you play older Rush? Go Sabres!! Gotta love Hockey.

2nd on the older songs, FLy By Night would be cool, or one of the epics!
