Yes, Kikuchi is only on the box-sets, Kenji is still on the 13 episode single Blu-rays/DVD

In a month or two, Funimation will release a Kai box-set with 26 or 27 episodes, and the Kikuchi OST

However the Part 1-4 DVD, the ones advertised in this trailer, will still have Yamamoto OST

Funimation haven't expressed any intention to changing them. There is no legal problems because the first 52 episodes do not feature the two plagiarized track from episodes 54 onward

So Funimation can keep Part 1-4 the same, and it makes them more money when they have more variety

@MrBonez1092 Whenever I see the new episodes with the Kikuchi Music, I can't connect them with the rest of the series. Once I get Parts 1-4, I doubt I'll be buying anything else from KAI Unless they Either Make New music to Replace the Kikuchi tracks, or Toei animation comes to their senses and Re-hires Yamamoto

Yamamoto had been plagiarizing since the Original DBZ, Toei Animation have just been bailing him out

After he blatantly plagiarized two tracks in Kai, they couldn't trust him or his work, any of his tracks could be potentially plagiarized

I would have Yamamoto for the Android Saga (Epi. 54) onward, when they finally stopped playing the same 3 tracks over & its better synched to the scenes

Kikuchi for part 1-4, he has alot more variety, and I like his fight themes better

Personally I disagree, especially in regards that DBZ Kai is still simply a Director's Cut of fairly old anime from the year 1989. The whole thing is outdated, however it still retains a nice charm that I don't see in other recent shows.

In my opinion some episodes sounds better with Kikuchi, some better with Yamamoto, if I could buy both I would (I actually intend to do so with Part 1-4)

Not really, every other Director's Cut utilize the soundtrack of the original source despite the age (I.E. Every Directors Cut by either Ridley Scott or James Cameron)

In fact its actually surprising that Toei went through all the effort of producing a new OST (Toei Animation is notorious for their general laziness)

It is just a luxury and I enjoy the fact that I have options for both

I just don't like that Toei half-assed the releases so I can't own both in their entirety

I like yamamoto better, even in part 1-4, but the music was never the biggest gripe for me. At least the dub is still great.

Why does the dub have a new singer every dvd? Just keep Vic (or Sean). Everyone else sounds like their doing karaoke.

My Guess is that DBZK will have 3 Seasons, Meaning The saiyan, namek, and freeza saga = Season 1. Trunks, android, and cell = Season 2. and Buu saga = Season 3.

I know this because the japanese dvd/blu ray cover colors for dbk have changed from blue to orange, my guess is that there will be 4 parts for season 1, maybe 4 for season 2, and 3 for season 3.

@KingGoku195 here is the problem with that theory they have only had 13 episodes on each season so far to finish season 1 in exatly 4 dics they would have to put 17 episodes on the final disc which they wont i think the 11 dvd and bluray sets however is very acurate. I also see them dragon boxing kai at a later time.

they swear more, edit some of the lines. believe me, i saw a comparison video where it shows them engaging conversations. they don't say stuff like die or killed in the childrens version. anything relating to death, hell, or anything. the uncuts where it's at : )

@petplatypus I definitely agree, while I do prefer Nadolny's Gohan, Colleen does make him sound younger, Gohan does a lot of screaming in the Cell saga, so I'm hoping Colleen does a good job, I thought Stephanie's work was phenomenal in that saga. I guess we'll see.

@DBZGT1992 You should just wait until all of the US Releases of the Dragonboxes are out, Im sure FUNi is planning to release the Movies Dragonbox, GT Dragonbox, and the Dragonball Dragonboxes. So you should just wait if they dont release them and feel free to purchase those, but im personally going to wait, the Dragonboxes picture quality are far superior than the remastered sets, same with the audio quality.

@KingGoku195 I hear what you are saying but i want both versions. now i know this sounds weird but i want the season sets and movies for the dub and the dragonboxes for the japanese dub cause the dragonboxes should have better quality japanese sound then the season sets which are more for dubs. And besides I got the DBZ season sets so I want to finish the collection you know.

@Kidbuugeta456 I don't know. The picture looks nice, but the animation is very very hit and miss, as far as the new animation goes. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy DBZK and it's fillerless awesomeness, but the crispness of the DragonBoxes trumps Kai's at times, shoddy reanimations
