The Corvette goes from 2nd place to not finishing. That move should have drawn some sort of sanction, or a DQ.
Bumping someones rear end deep in a corner is dangerous. I race (shitty cars, for fun) and getting reared in a corner sucks. But that 2nd hit looked like retaliation to me.

What they do is hold full throttle and they have a leaver next to them on there left that is the handbrake then they hold it full on. when all but one light are lit they ez the clutch and when the car starts creap forward they push the clutch back in a fraction. when it gose green they release the handbrake and when they have enough mometem they pop the clutch out

Was thinking about this and I was ready ask if they have 2 rev limit settings - redline and 5-6k for the start. So, when you pop the clutch against the 'start' rev-limiter, viola - Launch Control [and all legal].
Once you are rolling you flip a switch and reset to normal rev-limit rpm.
Never had a hand-brake, so never thought that way. But, the SD viewers need to know. So thanks!
That is definitely not good racing that is messed up especially since Porsche already had the championship. But you have to blame both of them, not just they guy who pushed him into the wall, I mean if you know you're about an inch away from a crash, just bite the bullet and slow down.

But thats the problem...whatever vid your watching, hes never grinding the wall for more than a millisecond. As soon as he gets to the wall he has the speed to get ahead of the Porsche, and instead of going straight he veers to the right while the Porsche tries to brake from getting into too much trouble.
The way I see it the Corvette committed a foul by bumping the Porsche in order to force it to the outside. Even if you don't consider that a foul, it surely dirty racing. If no foul was committed by the Corvette, there would have been no way to beat the Porsche. That being said, just because someone fouls you doesn't give you the right to dive-bomb them into the wall. I think they should not give anything more than a DNF to the Corvette, and a black flag to the Porsche.
If bumping is a foul, then Borgs committed it first in that final lap by bumping the Corvette into the dirt after the third turn. The final turn is where all the stories are happening but the Porsche started it after the third turn.
Both Mags and Borgs got two-race suspensions for the 2010 season which is really frickin' hilarious because this was supposed to be Borgs' last season racing for the Lizards.
It's not fair to say Corvette lovers have no taste, then compare the vette to a car that looks so much like a VW Beetle. Don't get me wrong, I would get the 911 over the Vette anyday, but I wouldn't say the 911 looks better.

10 secs difference is nothing, that's to be expected from other tires, other drivers, other weights or even air pressure or temperature on a track so big. It means nothing!
10 seconds is a massive distance. most 20 odd grid single make car series' will qualify within 5 seconds of one another. i work at a racetrack so im not just some douche who thinks they know it all i have some idea of what im saying
You may find it impressive, but for a Nordschleife laptime, that's just extreme fluctuation. I bet you could easily peal off a few seconds from the 997 phase I's laptime, if you have the right tires, the right driver, the right weigt (not a lot of fuel left) and if you do it at the most ideal time of day.
And nobody will ever notice a difference in both cars that says "This one is 10 secs faster on the Nordschleife!".
Subaru. Please. Please! Don't make a two-door coupe. The WRX is SO good as a four door sedan or a five door hatch. There are so many other car firms that make great two-door coupes. Great show FLD. You just keep getting better. Wow on the Shakedown Parente. From V8 Super Cars, to Chaparral esoterica, with a dash of Bergmeister insanity, great mix! If Porsche already had GT2 in the bag, and the Vette had the pass, Bergmeister was over the top with that block fail. Still that Vette is in it's first year in GT2. To see the Vette up front and cause Joge to blow a gasket like that was the BESTEST! Keep bringing it an I'll keep watching it!
IMO, Berg was motivated by Fear - Of becoming known as THE GUY that loses races to intimidation. So, he went nuts.

I clicked on this vid due to it's title. I wanted to see the 2010 Porsche Turbo running an entire timed lap at the Ring. Instead it was never shown.
But what was presented was the most annoying announcer with some of the least interesting writing yet forced on unsuspecting viewers to date.
Please change the title to 10 minute gab fest with a few interesting still pictures. But not what you really "tuned" in to see.

10 seconds is a massive distance. most 20 odd grid single make car series' will qualify within 5 seconds of one another. i work at a racetrack so im not just some douche who thinks they know it all i have some idea of what im saying

You may find it impressive, but for a Nordschleife laptime, that's just extreme fluctuation. I bet you could easily peal off a few seconds from the 997 phase I's laptime, if you have the right tires, the right driver, the right weigt (not a lot of fuel left) and if you do it at the most ideal time of day.
And nobody will ever notice a difference in both cars that says "This one is 10 secs faster on the Nordschleife!".

To each, his own. If the rest of the country needs Subaru to make a two-door coupe in order to come off like a car company with sporting potential, I think that's their loss. Aside from that, I can't imagine there's a huge population of people in this country who see an STi and think it's just another small sedan or hatch-back. Just by looking at one, I think it's pretty obvious what those things are built for. Some people just don't pay attention though.

Great show FLD. You just keep getting better. Wow on the Shakedown Parente. From V8 Super Cars, to Chaparral esoterica, with a dash of Bergmeister insanity, great mix! If Porsche already had GT2 in the bag, and the Vette had the pass, Bergmeister was over the top with that block fail. Still that Vette is in it's first year in GT2. To see the Vette up front and cause Joge to blow a gasket like that was the BESTEST! Keep bringing it an I'll keep watching it!

He crossed the line. But, others have rightly noted that throughout the entire race the Corvettes were no Virgin Marys, either [was JC France driving?].
So, I think it was all 'just racing' BUT thanks to today's on-track ethics, escalated into the danger zone.

Hey Boys, im a massive F1 fan (go FERRARI), but bassically love all motorsport, GP, LeMans series, Indy, DTM, but as an Aussie NOTHING BEATS BATHURST. Its the difference between the Giants playing in a normal game or the Giants playing in the SuperBowl...its just that much better...aye D. It was a great boys weekend, 4 days of camping, beer, steak, beer, grid girls, beer, racing and umm BEER. Oh BTW the A1 is crap in my opinion, and this is as an audi owner (S3), sorry JF
