How many times have I asked myself this question and not known the answer. I still cant make up my mind.

Everyone of Bowies albums has its gems and works of a master entertainer/song writer but with these two albums its hard to find a bad track.

Greate Video, yes. This really makes me recall the days when we thought that we could never get old, although Bowie had warned us so in his song.

He knew how one could get old and how one should get along with it. But most of his fans didn't. Do you all remember how we were surprised and let down when we heard the song "Let's dance"??

It's very silly to talk about his being gay (or not). Why not talk about his music??

An androgynous look and persona was a perfect fit for "Ziggy"; He was the quintessential glam-rocker. The whole point was to create a spectacle, really over-the-top. Also,probably the basis for Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets" (IMHO). Plus, it fit Bowie's need to continue to evolve his musical styles. Even Madonna hasn't re-invented herself quite as many times as the "Thin White Duke" (although, he must be an influence for her). And, quality remains throughout his career. Peace:-)

Yep on a long drive yesterday with 'Ziggy' in the car (maximum volume of course) and was listening to all that is going on in each song - there is so much to hear individually and collectively. Everything about it is amazing and simply flawless. As you said RainDog every song 'is' a classic on it's own and together it comprises the greatest album in rock music.
