Make sure you don't hold your finger higher or as high as your budgies head, because otherwise he thinks that you're attacking him! Hold it near he's belly, not higher that that.

I don't think that you can really take care for him like a real bird. That means to be there for him 24 hours a day, crawl him, sing with him (in real budgie language of course), fly with him and so on. If you have so much time and love him so much, why don't you give it a try and get another one? Then you could take care of two cute budiges.
A budgie is a flock bird and needs at least one budgie partner to be be really happy bird.
you dont really understand birds then. some are just as happy with people as with another bird. some birds dont really care all that much for other birds when they have people to enter-act with. i think the op is doing just fine with that sweet little bird.
I have had more than 30 budgies so far, and no matter how tame or people-focused the birds are, they all preferred to be with their budgie flock most of the time (even though they like to spend some of their time with us aswell). Also those poor lonely birds that had to spend their lives only with humans that I adopted loved to be with their budgie partners in my flock after they realized that they were not human. Why not get another budgie and let your bird decide who it wants to be with?

It's not his permanent place to stay, he's got a big cage and a litte one (something like a camper!), but in the morning the big cage opens and he is free to fly/play wherever he wants! I put this basket on the cage and he plays there, like it's a playground! In the evening, when he gets tired, he goes back to his big cage by himself and we cover it to make it dark(er). The little cage stands by the window, he loves to sit there and look throught the window! I think he loves his live ;)

I won't, he gets enough attention of people, if you advice me another bird, then I advise you not to take one if you have no time for pets!
