  • Getting deployed has nothing to do with anything. They have poor training and do not hold a military bearing. They just play dress up on weekends and pretend to be in the Army. Actual Army soldiers reject the nasty guard wannabes. The regular Army doesn't endorse the guard in anyway. The Guard has been riding the real Army's fucking coattail for centuries. This video is actually pretty freakin' accurate. Bunch of overweight pussies who were scared to make a real commitment is all the guard is.

  • national guard is circulated through just like any other branch they are deployed too, they go through the same training, and take just as much risk when deployed as they do at home, army and national guard fight on the same two fronts. The commitment is the same when they get deployed do your research, they aren't weekend warriors anymore, they are soldiers, show some respect.

  • National Guard disgusts me. I embarrassed that they are even affiliated with the Army. Just a bunch of pussies who didn't want to make a REAL commitment. If they actually wanted to be real Soldiers they would have joined the reg Army......FACT!!!......Sorry, but your NG husbands are pussies who dress up on weekends and pretend to be in the Army.

  • @ArabsStank If you think for one minute that your uneducated, juvenile, ignorant comments bear any weight on how any of us feel...you have another thing coming. My NG Husband served 2 tours in Afg & Iraq, works full time as a Paramedic & Firefighter at home. The AD Army brothers he served with overseas didn't care if he was NG as long as he had their backs. When they are over there...the branch doesn't matter. Keeping ALL your Brothers safe is the important thing.

  • @Johnswoman123 By the way, you should take a History class little boy...National Guard are the original Militia in this Country. The claim that the National Guard is older than the nation itself, with over three and a half centuries of service, is based on the claim that the modern-day 101st Field Artillery Regiment, 182nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Engineer Battalion and 181st Infantry Regiment of the Massachusetts Army National Guard

  • @Johnswoman123 are directly descended from Massachusetts Bay Colony regiments formed over 375 years ago. Throughout the 19th century the regular Army was small, and the militia provided the majority of the troops during the Mexican-American War, the start of the American Civil War, and the Spanish-American War. With the Militia Act of 1903, part of the militia was federalized and renamed the National Guard and organized as a Reserve force for the Army; this is the official founding of the Nat'l

  • @Johnswoman123 Guard. The "One weekend a month, two weeks a year" slogan has lost most of its relevance since the Iraq War, when nearly 28% of total US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan at the end of 2007 consisted of mobilized personnel of the National Guard and other Reserve components. Currently you are the joke. When you grow out of diapers & put down your video games I do wish you luck in becoming a real man.

  • LMBO!!

  • I think the whole NG/AR vs RA came from the Cold war days when there was no need to activate the NG/AR for years on end. The RA (Regular Army) was always on duty and handled deployments on their own, while the NG/AR were weekend warriors. Today this has all changed with back to back deployments for RA as well as the NG/AR. You cannot really tell the differance between the various services anymore from what I see. (22 years Active Army btw) The video was kind of cool though!

  • @AetiusPraetorian You are correct. PFC-Drake 68 whiskey (medic) trainee.

  • Service men are service men there nothing black and white about it we all where the same uniform I can guarantee that if you seen me in uniform you would never even know if I was guard or active I trained with active and I can do as much so once again service men are service men

  • hahahaha The funny thing is that after everybody realizes what they got into when they enlist in the guard wanna switch to active... 50 percent of Guard soldiers wanna switch to active that's a fact!

  • hahahahahahyaha Awesome!!!!! HOOAH! I am a full time Soldier

  • a lot of active duty soldiers go to the national guard or reserves or IRR. you fail

  • "Once a Marine.. Why Re-enlist?"

It's what I read as I contemplated taking off the next layer of my balloon knot with complimentary sand paper issued to us from time to time..(usually to field day with!factor some genius feels need to treat you like an hourly employee he paid for & the paper is a deterrent against you scaming an extra $3.44 of 1 hr w/o combat/haz or taxfree pay that youre technically earning while delivering the crowning, three day old brick of Delicious MRE's and Hooah Bars!

  • I swear ppl argue about the stupidest things. ANG all the way HOOAH

  • i dnt get it... why is there any type of rivalry between army and army national guard.. we all have the same training, follow the same orders, and fight for the same goddamn country to protect freedom and the armerican way. lets take all the bullshit out and support all our brothers in arms and quit the ignorant shit... PFC GLOVER, National Guard soldier. MOS is 25N... I love what I do... HOOAH

  • @TheAnonymouslyknown actually marines are very rarely the first ones in.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheAnonymouslyknown false. Army airborne can deploy quicker than marines. First to fight is just another slogan thrown around by marines to attract the youth

  • Some of yall not worth responding too..but I served in the National Guard [348th support battalion out of cummings gA.]...AND im currently active duty [4th Infantry Division Combat aviation brigade] 3-4 Assult Recon Battalion, out of fort HOOD texas and yea Im currently in Afganistan RC west wont give the name of my location....but simply put Fobbits has nothing to do with the Guard u have AD personell who never leave the fob due to MOS sometime.besides the point this whole argument pointless

  • If you were active duty and served with NG people then you would understand why this is so hilarious. I am AD and stuck under a NG command and it's like a 3 ring circus...

  • we infantrymen, and other combat mos members, hate pogs and NGs because we see you. we see you doing nothing. we see you playing frisbee with your beer gut hanging out when we are sucking so hard running 10 miles with a log and carrying people. we see you going home on time when we have another god damn layout. we see you joke around become buddy buddies with everyone, while we are getting smoked so hard by our team/squad leaders.

we see you on the outside living the easy life.

  • lolplz. please don't defend the national guard. i don't even consider most of them soldiers. and if your husband thinks he is a soldier, he needs to watch this video. don't get me wrong, i know cool squared away guys in NG, but thinking that they deserve as much respect as my brothers and i, is a god damn joke.

also, not all mos's are the same. are you really telling me that supply does more than infantry? paralegal versus cav scouts? there is a reason why we infantrymen hate pogues.

  • National Guard is for pussies who aren't willing to make the full commitment to a military lifestyle. They just want to mooch free benefits off the government rather than serve their country. Half of the national guard is overweight as well. They don't even deserve to wear a uniform that says "US Army" on it in my opinion. It's a retarded abd useless organization that needs to be shutdown.

  • @ArabsStank You have no idea what your talking about. I am enlisted in the National Guard and at the moment I have been going to monthly RSP drills. I'd love to see someone like you go through smoke sessions.

  • pretty good actually...

  • Just remember, if the NG and USAR were not around, you would spend your life in a war. We fill out the force and contribute in ways you can't even begin to appreciate.

  • first off. fuck that! thats not anything like the national guard. sur most have full time jobs doing reg. work but when u drill we keep up with active duty standers. i just put out paper work on going active thou. im just saying the guard isnt bad im just sick of wasting 3 hours driving down to chaffee to go to drill. good try on the video. the only thing i agree with is the fact the NG or my unit does not do pt so most cant pass there pt. talk to ur RNCO and get a DA4187 and a DA368 and ur good

  • @PFCGUARD HAHAHAHAHA thats the biggest crock of SHIT ive ever heard. National Guard by NO MEANS follows the Army standards. Your unit = a bunch of fat guys. Fuck off you pussy. You're not even in the military.....and the National guard does BY NO MEANS mean you're in the military

  • wow lol spartans are the original citizen soldiers lol. i'm in the guard now i'm telling u GO ACTIVE!!! i'm in the process of going active now. Guard is ok if ur a slacker and just want the beer money and to do get deployed once in a while or fight snow flakes in the winter time lol.

  • FUCK ALL OF U THAT TALK BOUT DA GUARD

  • all im saying is that, if ur gonna go through all of that trouble in getting into the army, why not just go active, national guard just dont have as many benefits, and active is so much bettttter

  • National guard is for pussys do your homework and see what percentage of national guard soldiers are deployed not only that those brave soldiers also have to protect there own state during times of national diasters no part of the military branch are considered pussies the only pussies I see are ignorant civilians and unsquared away soldiers who pass judgement on people who made sacrifices for their country army all the way HOOAH!

  • Comment removed

  • Hooah. I had to reread your punctuation free comment three times to understand that you weren't bashing the guard though.

  • he may have did the basic training as the AD but nothing more, Im an active duty wife and i have a national guard cousin and he wishes he joined active duty because they make way more, and have more benefits...national guard is for Pussys....

  • Yeah people who join the Guard and fight and give there lives in service to this coutnry are pussies makes perfect sense. Ur a moron.

  • @tarapatterson123 Wow your a piece of shit. so since your husband is in the army that makes you the expert? how bout you quit riding his coat tails and join up yourself you worthless shit stain on society.

  • @tarapatterson123 Your a active duty wife...? That means shit...literally...you have no right to judge who is a pussy and who is not because you are not in the military. Just because your husband is doesn't mean that you have any right to criticize.

  • Funny joke but National Guard Soldiers make up most of the Army soldiers in Iraq. We have soldiers that work fulltime "AGR". We have Infantry Units, Special Forces Units . Artillary and Armor Units as well....? I don't get the rivalry though ----- Army and the ANG should just keep the rivalry on the Flyboys ---- They go to cupcake camp and sleep in hotels why we get to pitch tents and be miserable in the sandbox...

  • i dont get this video...

the arcadians fought along with the spartans..

so its like marines joining army forces, rather than this...

  • Comment removed

  • hmm...rather full of yourself aren't you.

Cause NG aren't REAL soldiers. *rolls eyes*

This is truly offensive to all of your brother and sisters in the NG.

  • OMG YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR!!!! It's playing off the old LONG TIME rivalry between the NG & AD branches! NG = National Girls; they've been called that for as long as I can remember because IF there is NO war going on they're only active FOR ON WEEKEND A MONTH!

I'm an AD Army wife & KNOW that other branches call my DH a grunt, just like we call Marines-Jarheads, Navy-Squids, Air Force-Chair Force, so on & so forth.

Go take a midol & stfu!

  • Sorry...don't see how this is funny.

You know nothing about NG. My husband served proudly in the NG and is currently AD.

He did the same training as your husband.

There is no rivalry between AD and NG, except in stupid people's heads. Let's hope your husband never has to serve under a 'Weekend Warrior' sense it is obvious neither of you have respect for what they do.

Grow up and find something else to rag on.

  • @armyw1fey It seems very sad that someone can't have an opinion in America.

  • @Allsortsofweird

There is a difference between having an opinion and being an asshole. National Guard soldiers need just as much respect as Active Duty soldiers. This "rivalry" that someone is more 'hardcore' is just juvenile. I have respect for anyone who puts on the uniform and protects my freedoms, regardless of their branch of service, component, or MOS.

This was in poor taste and a slap in the face to their brothers and sisters in arms.

  • @armyw1fey wow you think you know how the military operates just because your husband is in the Army? The national guard = a bunch of pussies. I dont care what anyone says......the only people who try to defend it are those in the guard......and even HALF of them will admit that the guard is pussy.

  • @ArabsStank

    SIGH

No I think I know how the Army operates because I was in the Army, my father, my brother, my sisters, my uncles, my aunt, my grandfathers etc were all in the military.

This is a pointless debate, it smacks of who is better Army, Navy, Marines or Air Force. Or the other stupid debate that Infantry are the only hardasses in the Army. It is so ridiculous and childish that it's not even amusing anymore.

  • @armyw1fey dnt waste your time on this nobody hes a good for nothing troll who has no idea what serving is like nor has served your husband is a hero and you have all the right in the world to be proud hooah and god bless

  • @ArabsStank just give it up already we all know your not a solider now drop the act and get a life

  • @armyw1fey

What's funny is that more than half of the Guard soldiers are former Active Duty, including myself.

And you know what else is funny? I served in the Airborne and in Special Operations.

Now my unit is deploying to Afghanistan.

Don't dis on the homefront. If you were doing your job as effectively as you think, we wouldn't be over there with ya.

  • @PatriotUSA1775

    Huh?

Is this comment directed towards me? I don't recall saying anything negative towards the National Guard.

  • @armyw1fey Proudly? civilians vs people who actual do something. Rag on? meh, its normal rivalry,at the end of the day they all have each others backs, its more like a little brother/big brother mentality, causes competition, nothing wrong with that. if you think that is bad, then you're going to get some very shitty soldiers as the result.

  • @armyw1fey

This is hilarious. 20 National guard soldiers who've been to basic training and 10 soldiers active who've been to basic training debated during our superbowl party who had better training. Active soldiers, or national guardsmen who went infantry, received at least 4-5 weeks focused training, in addition to learning what was on schedule, at the same time. There is a rivalry between all branches in the military, and all sub-branches. Unless it's taken personally, who cares.

  • You did a great job and it sends chills down my spine...
