  • Ultimecia of Final Fantasy 8 stole her outfit from the Lady of Pain.

  • I like her :3

  • from what game is this????

  • @2791991

    Planescape Torment.

  • @2791991 MW3

  • @2791991 Doom 3

  • When you can get flayed alive just for standing in someone's shadow, one should not mess with this someone.

  • 2 people tried to worship Lady

  • @Shadenuat

Count went up to 3...poor bastards..

  • How does one provoke the Lady?

I've never seen this in my playthrough.

  • @PoisonWar : Kill some dabus, make a mess in the Sigil (killing innocents), worship her (using the little lady of pain puppets) or praise Aoskar, the God of Portals. The first time she's angry, she won't kill you, but the second time, you'll see this video :)

  • @G0DVL Thatnks, definitely going for another playthrough with this!

  • If you're killed by The Lady of Pain, then the Trascendant One is left to roam the universe, although the Lady could probably also kill him.

  • @dharr123 "Probably"? :P

  • @dharr123 Actually from what I remember if you die he dies too. So since she kills the nameless one that kills him to. Although I don't think she is stronger than the transcendent one is. I don't know how she has the power to kill him I've played this game and beat it at least 3 different times and still you go through all that trouble to find a means to die and yet she can kill you like it's nothing.

  • The Shrike's big sis.

  • i remember my first time being mazed. i was so scared of upsetting the lady of pain.

  • gotta get killed at least once by the Lady, when playing torment.

  • @metanetan1 the lady of pain IS the Planescape Setting. She is the keeper of the doorway to all the multiverse. The secret prisoner who holds all of creation in her grasp. To ask why the Lady of Pain must be in the PS setting is to invite a blood to rattle your bonebox....maybe even put you in the deadbook.

  • @metanetan1 your a fucking dumb ass

  • @fleetcommander28 you're*

  • I got to the part where you had to go back and talk to his gost wife the 2ed time, and guess what? my CD has a scrach right there so, nothing i do will alow me to play past that point :(

  • cause she's in pain

  • Pissing off the Lady: Because sometimes there just isn't enough stupid. Enjoy your Maze, berk...

  • A lot of things could kill TNO: probably Grace's kiss, Ignus's flame, Vailor's blade of justice, Lothar, Lady of Pain, Transcendent One, blade of entropy on the negative plane. May be I forgot something.

  • @Damythxful You can also lose by becoming the Silent King, by being killed by the other incarnations in the Fortress of Regrets, or by allowing the Practical incarnation to absorb you.

Also if you take the wrong dialogue options with Marissa in the Brothel - lie and tell her you're tall and handsome, and let her look - and her gaze will turn you to stone.

  • @Damythxful

Finger of Death is a necromancy spell which can kill permanently.

  • Just who or what is the Lady of Pain? Sadly with the demise of the planescape campaign setting I don't think we'll ever be able to figure this out.

  • She's a bunch of squirrels wearing a cloak.

  • To be specific, The Lady's shadow covers you and your body erupts with thousands of cuts.

  • In the game you could kill a Dabus (the servants of the Lady who maintain Sigil, the ones who speak in Rebus puzzles)

  • How do you manage to "mess" with her? I mean, would killing a lot of Sigil inhabitants do? I heard you had to become a worshipper of some god or something to make her send you to a maze, but actually kill you?..

  • The Lady of Pain never spoke to anyone. No one spoke to her. Just passing through her shadow could kill you. People in sigil would clear out of the area when she (rarely) appeared.

She would kill anyone who openly worshiped her as well.

Creating a threat to Sigil itself would call her.

Attempting to bring the Blood War to Sigil would.

  • @KirillBuzmakov

There's a rebel Dabus that worships Sigil's previous god. If you join him in the worship of that god the lady will maze you.

Also, there's a doll of her you can find and play with. If you play with the doll in public 3 times she appears.

  • Strange... In PS:T there are about four ways to die permanently: [ATTENTION, possible spoiler!!!] Messing with the Lady, messing with Lothar, killing yourself with the Golem's blade and submitting to the mind of another self. I always found it very weird - what kinds of deaths are these? They obviously are different from what happens at the end - dying and being sent to the blood-war for punishment. But what are they? Total oblivion, total not-being...?

  • I believe that the Lady and Lothar just sort of un-exist you. How the blade works is explained in the game, but it's been a long time since I last played. You could also get turned into stone by the medusa in the brothel; I think that's pretty self-explaining.

  • Comment removed

  • Essentially yes. They basically banish you into non-existence.

  • @CLHG

It's said too that Ignus fire could kill The Nameless one (if you push him enough the narration says you sense you wouldn't heal from wounds he gave you) and possibly fucking Annah (if the Nameless One makes out w/her she starts catching on fire; it doesn't hurt her but it burns him).

  • @Kogerii

Right, I forgot about Ignus. The narration presents him as a really scary type - which he in fact is - but when it really comes down to fighting him, he's a piece of cake. If you're looking for real trouble you should take Vailor along and talk to him about certain topics ; )

As for Annah, I can't remember that at the moment. Making out with her seemed rather ticklish, but dangerous...?

  • @Kogerii Wait... you can fuck Annah...? I thought the best you could do was kiss her. How do I do that?

  • @CLHG

Almost I said. During the kiss she stops because she's afraid she'll hurt you and if I remember right it's implied she's correct, that it did feel like her fire would permanently damage the Nameless One.

  • @Kogerii I see. I don't remember it being implied that TNO could be damaged by it, though. I seem to remember it as being only a curious thing, nothing that dangerous. Ah, well, another thing to look out for when I replay it!

  • thats a real sucky way to die O__O

  • man she really look's creepy to me,but still best of the best RPG's games ever!

  • why?

  • planescape:torment

  • Because you don't know

  • It amuses me how most of the game is spent trying to figure out how to die, but being killed by the Lady counts as a loss.

  • Comment removed

  • The Lady just destroys your body forever you don't really die so its a loss.

  • @JikcepIV There's dead and then there's DEAD....

  • @JikcepIV well, play game again, cos most of the game is spent trying to figure out your past and regain mortality.

  • @JikcepIV because she sends you to the true death

  • @JikcepIV Actually the main goal of the game is to find out about your self and why this happens to you, so in that account it really is a loss.

  • This and Fallout2 are the best games I ever played.

  • i love that game

  • "O joy of thee seventy times three...our lady of pain"

  • *splort*

    No worshippers!

  • best rpg ever

  • Lady of Pain is awesome... I Love Her :D

  • nice, planescape rules and so does Torment
