  • OMG! I've known some strong yoga teachers in my life...watch what she does at 4:44. I don't know if I could have done that at her age, probably not. Wow. I've seen other videos of hers here and really like the way she teaches. Very physical but meditative at the same time.

  • i dont need a doctor anymore :)

  • Check out these mats....AWESOME!!!

  • @gia28287 if you have irregular periods that has to do with low estrogen or some hormone problems. Have they done a sonogram of your ovaries? You might want to look into hormone health in a big way.

  • is there any yoga for ...err...boosting the boobs? I'm serious.

  • The gland isn´t located where she pointing, but she says ´is in the brain´.

  • The pituitary gland isn't located where you're pointing.

  • You know you are perfect, well you know, almost almost perfect, this is the trick to your success, you achieved your mind and body to be tune as a violin, now you are teaching it. Congratulations, I give myself up to you.

  • The teacher teaches...after they learn so much it spills out of their mouth;) Glad you're listening!

  • is that a bullet necklace?

  • It's a vintage Indian design...looks more like upside-down ice cream cones closer up.

  • Excellent!! I would like to see more immunity boosting practices! :) This really does work.

  • I'll make more!

    xoSadie

  • @JPKPOKPO In case this applys once I stopped carrying heavy loads in my backpack I "grew" a half an inch...

    sadie

  • You're so welcome;)

    Sadie

  • im so not flexible i find yoga impossible :(

  • How will you get more flexible and unlock the poses, and your body, if you're not doing yoga? I say, chip away at the poses, and you'll gain a world of benefits in time...and a stretchy, resilient body, too!

    xoSadie

  • yes i realise that now thank you so much.. ur amazing i will deffo consider yoga if i time to fit it in my tight scheduel (is thats how you spell it o.O) x x

  • I swear by yoga, it's the best form of excercise. Sadie I have watched a few of your videos and think they are very good indeed. The great thing about yoga is that you find your weaknesses and limitations on how flexible you are and you can work on them and improve on them. My favourite is the tree pose can stand like that for ages!

  • i do thank you for the tips while executing the poses to us. they are really of great help to me. i have problem with my metabolism, and thanks to your generosity , i can truly enjoy the hope of eliminating what bothers me.

  • It will totally help you regulate your hormones and your metabolism. Worked for me!

    xoSadie

  • i only watched this cause it's hot is that a bad thing

  • Thanks so much for another great sequence. Everytime I do one of your vids I feel chalenged and refreshed. And plus the pounds are dropping YAY ;)

One more thing it would be wonderfull if you could put all of your vids available for download. That way I can do them even when I'm not at home.

Not to be a pain but I play the violin and I notice that after a couple of hours playing it my lower back, neck and shoulders get stiff. Any tips of exercises I can do?

    Thanks

    Diana

  • Harvard, and many others have tested to show that yoga, as opposed to many other forms of exercise, DOES switch on the genes and hormones we need to stay not only fit, but healthy, mentally sharp, sleeping well, and protected against disease. Vigorous yoga is like doing free weights and cardio together, BTW. Google Yoga and Hormone Health and you'll see your comment is not only rude and judgmental, it's ignorant. It sounds like you could use a little yoga to calm that attitude of yours!

  • I spy someone who's never tried Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga :o) Bless.

  • Different forms exercise can be more beneficial to other individuals, of course. This crap is much more likely to be beneficial than any thing you know how to do with free weights. The reason I say this is cause you are obviously ignorant and have no understanding of what you are talking about. BTW Yoga has been around 3000 years yeah, and I am sure you have your little workout you'll stick to . Open you mind and maybe you will learn something.

  • my friend I am 48 years old, I do gym exercises since my first years of my life and do lots of free weights & cardio, aerobics & everything is possible. I have to say that yoga is all of them, plus its antiaging, stress relief & helps control blood pressure levels. Believe me........

  • It's all good, people...

Let's just keep focusing on our own lovely practice, and ROCK it!

    xoxo Sadie

  • I LOVE your videos, very easy to follow, and very motivational!!!! You got me into yoga, officially!

  • That's wonderful to hear!! Thanks for letting me know, officially;)

    xoSadie

  • Thank you so much for this and other videos. Love learning from you and love your generosity!

  • You're welcome--thanks for this!

    xoSadie

  • You're such an inspiration- so strong and acurate! Thank you for sharing you're knowledge with me. Nameste.

  • Thanks--it wasn't always that way--it's the dedication each day to walk the path of the best Self ever!

    xoSadie

  • thank you for sharing your energy and time, tom

  • You're so welcome. I love doing it!

    Sadie

  • Ès muita gira, na minha terra costuma-se dizer: és boa como o milho.

    I translate: «You're good, as a corn».

    Namasté!!!

  • this is a great one...good for the hot flashes...and a quick one to do b4 work...thanks for sharing...

  • thanks! That's great it works for hot flashes too. Makes sense! xoSadie

  • Sorry Sadie. I feel like my last comment here sounded rude. I must have been in a fuzz that day! I just wanted to say that just in case I came off that way to you.

By the way, I downloaded A LOT of your videos on the PodcastGO site. You, again, are awesome!!

And please make a video for people that have popping knees. Yoga can get frustrating when my knees pops and I have to stop my pose! Argh!

  • Hey, thanks for saying that, although I didn't take it that way! The thymus pounding place is located just below the notch at the base of your neck where your collarbones meet. Sorry if it was confusing! I'm so happy you like the PodcastGO vids--they are a great company. Also, popping joints are normal, unless there's pain. You should hear my ankle! Just open your leg and hip muscles as much as you can and it should lessen...xoxo! Sadie

  • Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry. I meant to say that my knee locks, not pops. And it is painful for a moment. If I get out of the pose right away, I'm fine.

I try to always cycle before I do yoga to warm my knees up. Also I go to physical therapy once a week to learn how to make my knees stronger and less arthritic.

I would say that the standing poses cause the most locking and pain in my knees - especially the warrior poses!

  • I just did that and will continue doing this when I am seated at my desk at work when I get a chance.

By the way, I can't find the "notch" (?) in my Thymus to save my life. Is there a better way to find it. And all I need to do is pound two inches below it, right?

    Thank you, Sadie!

  • Thanks for this...

See--you DO have a Sadie in your house!!

Doing any rounded yoga practice is a great way to balance and stimulate your hormones. Closing your eyes and looking towards both your nose, then your forehead is a powerful way to balance your pituitary. Plus, inversions are a great healer.

Good luck, and let me know how you're doing!

    Sadie

  • Wow. Your classes are awesome. I had a pituitary tumor removed about a year ago and my doctors aren't sure if I am cured from Cushings Disease or not (still testing). I am going to try these poses out. You inspire me, and I wish we had a Sadie Nardini where I lived!!

  • Hey Sadie!

This is yoga for immunity, so, will it help me with my hay fever too?

Hay fever and immune system are linked to each other, right?

ah, I just don't know what to do with my hay fever, I'm 14 and had it for 6 years, not good when in summers I can't go out because some plants are blooming.

    Love you so much Sadie!

    kadri

  • Hey Kadri,

    Thanks for your post, girl!

Listen, balancing your hormonal system is great for you, and it helps you not get sick as much and look younger, but allergies are caused by a histamine response. I'd check out the neti pot, learn how to use it. It was on Oprah so it's not that wierd;) It's the gentlest, most natural thing you can do to keep the pollen out of your sinuses and from going into your whole system.

  • Do it 4-5 times a day when you feel allergic. Of course, I'm allergic to cats and no amount of yoga helps there. It's half a Claritin for me, plus the neti really helps too;). Just please talk to your parents and doctor before trying any allergy medication.

Also, you'll probably grow out of it, but until then, the neti can be your best friend.

    All my love, sister!

    xoSadie

  • Hi Sadi, I found you on YouTube after learning about restorative yoga. I'm 55 and supposedly have hypothyroidism (mild). I am reading how various poses help the endocrine system (thyroid). I love this video you did for immunity and your offer to help with specific yoga moves. Help! I've been doing your immunity video for about a week now along with the rest of my exercise program. Really feel great after completion. Thanks so much for sharing so much about yoga with all of us on the internet.

  • Hi there, it is excellent to read your post.

You can also try resting with your legs up the wall, hips on a yoga block, so you get a passive inversion, for 5 minutes, closing your eyes and looking up at your forehead or down at your nose. This is said to detox you, balance the endocrine, and stimulate the glands from the thyroid upward. Great for you! Let me know how it's going. Sadie

  • Hi Sadie, is this core salutatio similar to sun salutation? I am sorry I have actually asked in your other video response. Thank you.

  • Is this good for anxiety disorder?

How many minutes a day to do the above yoga exercises? Thank you.

  • Yes, as anxiety is caused by hormones, like adrenaline. Do this three times through, after warming up with a Core Salutation, and then end with the Core Strength for Beginners, Pigeon Pose, and a long legs-up-the-wall pose. . All of these help balance the adrenals and also at the end, cool and calm the system. Regulate your breath, breathing deeply and evenly through your nose. If you breathe short, and in your upper chest, you can actually stimulate an anxiety response. So daily, breathe deep!

  • Would stimulating the pituitary gland promote growth? I am young, so would it give me the possibility of growing taller?

  • Hi there,

I can't say if it would stimulate more growth, but balancing the pituitary is thought to give you a good chance of reaching your body's optimal potential. So rock it and whatever height you are, you'll be healthy, and amazing!

    xoSadie

  • Very nice sequence.

  • Thanks...is it Steve?

Anything that incorporates hip opening, abdominal work, twists, inversions, the forehead pressure and breath will help to reset the endocrine system.

Let me know what else you'd like to see...I take requests:)

    peace,

    Sadie
