I first heard the Crystal Castles version and then I read about all the controversy about them taking other peoples "intellectual properties" including Trevor Brown's Madonna drawing. I am a big fan of Van She and I willing to bet that Crystal Castles didn't even hint at the fact that "Vanished" wasn't an original piece.

@SuperSinistAr Actually Modular records (who Van She belong too) commissioned Ethan to do a remix for them, but he didnt complete it by the dead line, and it was only on a whim at the last minute that it was thrown onto Crystal Castles I. So Ethan wasnt paid for doing the remix, and probably had to pay them rights to use it on the album.

the 2 versions sound really different. i almost can't compare, besides the fact they are the same lyrics, but IMO this version is more easily listen-able, while vanished is great for a party XP! i like both versions equally.
