Es gibt zu viele Idioten auf diesem Planeten die einfach keine Ahnung von Autos haben. Der RS6(PLUS) Produktionszeitraum: 2002–2004 muss gegen den M5 E60 antreten den der wurde im Produktionszeitraum: 2003–2010 gebaut. Der M5 E39 ist nicht der wahre Gegner des RS6 V8 sondern der M5 E60. Und mit einem kleinem aufpreis kann man die Sperre locker aufheben und dann läuft der M5 E60 über 300Km/h.
PS: Der Neue M5 F10 kommt Spätestens 2012 raus, dann sehen wir mal wo die ringe von Audi bleiben ;)

If you would compare the 580 hp RS6 which was released this year with the BMW which was released in 2006 its just the same. In this comparison the BMW would be the older car and they did the test because it was just brand new at the time when the Video was made. Both cars were the most powerfull Production cars form BMW and Audi and this time.

not really, the ts6's engine is a 5 valves per cylinder while the m5 only has 4. and so what if most of the audi's power is from turbos. it's not like bmw can't put turbos in.

ich versteh dein deutsch nicht ganz...egal, unten steht aber dass du behauptest, 360(!!) km/h wären KEIN PROBLEM für den M6. außerdem rede ich von einem M6 und nicht irgendein tuning 700wasweißichwievielPS proloschlitten...klar, wenn ich einem vw golf 700ps verpasse, geht der auch über 320km/h... ich sag ja nicht dass der M6 oder ein anderes M Modell scheisse wär, ganz im gegenteil, aber es klingt halt unrealistisch!
Ein Standard M6 mit offener V-MAX erreicht problemlos was am Tacho steht, also 330km/h. Ob mehr möglich ist weiß ich aber nicht. 330km/h ist aber für so ein schweres Auto wie der M6 mehr als super!

I don´t have any problems controlling my 1995 US Spec M3. The config. of the vehicle, which has no traction control, allows skilled drivers to drift easily at any corner, but for the general driver, this behavior might be a little dangerous. I recommend Audis for all you NASCAR/Oval Track pussy americans who can´t drive shit on corners, specially to Mr.Pasha, ´cause he doesn´t know that Brazil is the country that holds the most amount of titles in any autosport in the world,specially F-1.

Exactly. AWD is what Audi is all about and thats the major reason why I bought one over the BMW. I'd like to enjoy my car all year round. If I wanted a summer car, I'd get a vette. People fail to realize that audi lacks in very few areas when compared to BMW, but the reason it lacks (AWD) is also the reason its better in everything else. Historically, Le Mans was always remembered for the prototypes winners. The greatest of all, the porsche 969 from the 60´s and 70´s, had more than 1000hp, and it was unbeatable, just as the gt40 was during it´s days back in the 60´s. These cars were all prototyopes. Case closed.

In USA M3 are 10 times more than RS6 or RS4. Ofcourse the look matters a lot. M3 is lika a fassion here. Because RS6 looks like a normal A6 to most people how really have no idea and dont care much . And i agree that A6 body doesnt look agressive, but more like boring sedan. I love M3 but i live in Connecticut where thera is cold wet weather, and snow. So M3s here cannot be a good idea to perform much.

Bimmers are way more dangerous to drive when the weather condition is adverse, that was my point. In this case, the car is just unpredictable. Second place, Brazil is the country that "produces" the BEST race drivers in the world, and we know what we are talking about when the subject is cars. Go and track the car's you're speaking about before you open your mouth. You've been a subject to brilliant advertising...nothing else. The only difference with Audi is that quattro provides additional traction on exiting the corners. It makes braking worse and braking should be more "dangerous". Judging by what you're saying, you are having a hard time controlling RWD on acceleration, but that is just an indication of your skill. Good driver will feel equally safe in either RWD or AWD.
At the track, bimmers are known for the excess of rear oversteering, which is completely normal for RWD. For the general driver, this kind of behavior is dangerous, specially during bad weather. The audis are way more secure, with a incredibly advanced traction system (I myself prefer the Nissan kind), it allows the regular driver to maneuver easily on any weather condition. That´s why audis are predictable e docile to drive (normally).

The purpose of a RS6 is different than the M5´s? Listen to yourself! These cars are sold as competitors in the worldwide market. Just as the M3 competes against de RS4. Both Audis cannot outperform these BMW´s at all in general. Yet, is recognizable that Audi has a more advanced traction system than BMW´s, what makes them more efective on 0-100 acceleration.

Gallardo always had the VAG engine. Gallardo only came on market 5 years after Lambo was bought by VAG group. Lambo got a million times better after VAG acquired it. Uhm, I saw that race...I don't see what your point is. The Gallardo was probably the fastest car on the track after the Nismo. It started at the back of the pack and made it all the way to the top. With a few more laps it would have been 2'nd (Nismo 1'st) and nothing on that track could even try to touch Nismo. AND if you're trying to compare performance of any one of those cars to GT-R, you're on crack.
I´m saying that the Gallardo took too long to pass sedans such as the M3 or the M5. I mean, if it was a real supercar,it should just leave those two sedans behind easily. The Lambo, as a lighter car, should have a better performance than the others, except for the GT-R. And that is a sign that Lambo (the company, not the car) lost a lot through the years. The Nissan, of course, is a masterpiece. Its engine and overwhelming traction makes the car pretty amazing on the track.

If most BMW owners took their head out of their ass, they would very well switch to audi. Both are good brands and both have exciting/boring cars. 2000up Audis are better in my view. The SMG is complete shit and so is the i-drive (or whatever the heck its called). The only good thing out of BMW lately is 335. BMW quality is failing, Audi's is improving. Its not the same BMW we've come to expect in the 80s and 90s. Now its more about image than function.

What I will say is that 'Bavarian Motor Works' is just brilliant in advertising!! Audi's gotten bad press in the past, but people are turning on to them again. Sales are up in the US market. might want to check that again. As far as I recall, Audi was banned from racing due to its "unfair advantage" and inability of others to compete with them. Also check latest results in LeMans and comparos of RS4, TT and other Audis against their BMW counterparts. From what I recall, the little FWD 2.0T TT posted lap times faster than outgoing m3.
M3´s are pure sports cars, without the fancy audi´s gadgets to help on traction and cornerings. The fanciest thing you´ll see on a M3 is a mild traction control (useless) and a SMG (useless either). In the core, Mbimmers are a raw kind of sports car, while the audis are technolgical beasts. By the way, the RS6 competes against the new M5(E60), not the M3. M5 smokes it easily.
LOL man, you better check your sources. There is more electronic gadgetry in BMW than there is in Audi. Just look at Bimmer's computer system, then read what people say bout new stick M5. And what the heck does "smoke" it mean? They are very even cars (chip the RS6 and goodnight M5). The beauty of Audi is that it can be enjoyed in any weather at any time. I want to see how Audi will beat BMW without turbos. Everyone knows that when Audi wants to beat the bimmers, they become cowards, and put on a big turbo to compete against the pure engineered, aspirated, itb (Individual Throttle Bodied) BMW´s. the m5 stands alone.Audi are wonderful cars but they are not quite there yet.Still the electrical issues, they perform will but residual values is given to the BMW.The new transmission for BMW have removes the torque converters.They operate all electro-magnetic hydraulic shift which will endure more.
all i can say is, i drove a rs6 last night and i almost had an accident...in my pants. i had 3 other people in the car and i was still wasting everything i raced. but unfortunatly mr. raudiaudifan, the m5 is faster. but that doesnt change my view of the audi at all. its my dream car

Es gibt zu viele Idioten auf diesem Planeten die einfach keine Ahnung von Autos haben. Der RS6(PLUS) Produktionszeitraum: 2002–2004 muss gegen den M5 E60 antreten den der wurde im Produktionszeitraum: 2003–2010 gebaut. Der M5 E39 ist nicht der wahre Gegner des RS6 V8 sondern der M5 E60. Und mit einem kleinem aufpreis kann man die Sperre locker aufheben und dann läuft der M5 E60 über 300Km/h.
PS: Der Neue M5 F10 kommt Spätestens 2012 raus, dann sehen wir mal wo die ringe von Audi bleiben ;)

If you would compare the 580 hp RS6 which was released this year with the BMW which was released in 2006 its just the same. In this comparison the BMW would be the older car and they did the test because it was just brand new at the time when the Video was made. Both cars were the most powerfull Production cars form BMW and Audi and this time.

ich versteh dein deutsch nicht ganz...egal, unten steht aber dass du behauptest, 360(!!) km/h wären KEIN PROBLEM für den M6. außerdem rede ich von einem M6 und nicht irgendein tuning 700wasweißichwievielPS proloschlitten...klar, wenn ich einem vw golf 700ps verpasse, geht der auch über 320km/h... ich sag ja nicht dass der M6 oder ein anderes M Modell scheisse wär, ganz im gegenteil, aber es klingt halt unrealistisch!

Ein Standard M6 mit offener V-MAX erreicht problemlos was am Tacho steht, also 330km/h. Ob mehr möglich ist weiß ich aber nicht. 330km/h ist aber für so ein schweres Auto wie der M6 mehr als super!

hhhmm ob der neue RS6 soviel schneller wird ich glaub es nicht, war ja damals auch nicht so. die 2t beim neuen RS6 lassen sich nicht verstecken, trotz des brutalen Motors. 0-200 in 14,5s gibt audi an, bmw sagt für den touring genau 15s, ist nicht die Welt.

I don´t have any problems controlling my 1995 US Spec M3. The config. of the vehicle, which has no traction control, allows skilled drivers to drift easily at any corner, but for the general driver, this behavior might be a little dangerous. I recommend Audis for all you NASCAR/Oval Track pussy americans who can´t drive shit on corners, specially to Mr.Pasha, ´cause he doesn´t know that Brazil is the country that holds the most amount of titles in any autosport in the world,specially F-1.

I don't need to check with my mechanic. Go and look at the claimed fuel consumption numbers for both Vette and Lambo and you'll see which one is better. BTW, that 7.0L V8 is not iron, its aluminum and who cares if its pushrod. It produces gobs of power, its fuel efficient and its reliable. ITS more effective than lambo's engine according to your own definition, yet you again provide stupid arguments that go even against what you're saying.

Exactly. AWD is what Audi is all about and thats the major reason why I bought one over the BMW. I'd like to enjoy my car all year round. If I wanted a summer car, I'd get a vette. People fail to realize that audi lacks in very few areas when compared to BMW, but the reason it lacks (AWD) is also the reason its better in everything else. Personally, I'm completely turned off by BMW because of its arrogant owners. Thats why I enjoy beating on them in my uber gay Audi.

Historically, Le Mans was always remembered for the prototypes winners. The greatest of all, the porsche 969 from the 60´s and 70´s, had more than 1000hp, and it was unbeatable, just as the gt40 was during it´s days back in the 60´s. These cars were all prototyopes. Case closed.

In USA M3 are 10 times more than RS6 or RS4. Ofcourse the look matters a lot. M3 is lika a fassion here. Because RS6 looks like a normal A6 to most people how really have no idea and dont care much . And i agree that A6 body doesnt look agressive, but more like boring sedan. I love M3 but i live in Connecticut where thera is cold wet weather, and snow. So M3s here cannot be a good idea to perform much.

Bimmers are way more dangerous to drive when the weather condition is adverse, that was my point. In this case, the car is just unpredictable. Second place, Brazil is the country that "produces" the BEST race drivers in the world, and we know what we are talking about when the subject is cars. I would like to see an american driver come even close to an Ayrton Senna´s genious way to drive, or even Felipe Massa´s (one of our worsts drivers, he is a ferrari man).

Go and track the car's you're speaking about before you open your mouth. You've been a subject to brilliant advertising...nothing else. The only difference with Audi is that quattro provides additional traction on exiting the corners. It makes braking worse and braking should be more "dangerous". Judging by what you're saying, you are having a hard time controlling RWD on acceleration, but that is just an indication of your skill. Good driver will feel equally safe in either RWD or AWD.

At the track, bimmers are known for the excess of rear oversteering, which is completely normal for RWD. For the general driver, this kind of behavior is dangerous, specially during bad weather. The audis are way more secure, with a incredibly advanced traction system (I myself prefer the Nissan kind), it allows the regular driver to maneuver easily on any weather condition. That´s why audis are predictable e docile to drive (normally).

Traction control? LOL you mean AWD? There is nothing incredibly advanced about it. Its just built well. As for other "safety" gadgets, there is nothing fundamentally different about what Audi offers vs. BMW in terms of electronic aids. Population of Brazil is about 3 times bigger than that of Great Britain. I don't understand how you can even compare the "achievement" of both since you have that many more people to achieve it and even then you're still behind Britain in F1 wins. The purpose of a RS6 is different than the M5´s? Listen to yourself! These cars are sold as competitors in the worldwide market. Just as the M3 competes against de RS4. Both Audis cannot outperform these BMW´s at all in general. Yet, is recognizable that Audi has a more advanced traction system than BMW´s, what makes them more efective on 0-100 acceleration.

omg how dumb are you? That traction means extra weight and hurts top end performance!!! People who buy RS6, buy it because they want to enjoy the car year round and feel comfortable doing so. HECK its not ever offered with a manual!!! Even the suspension on RS6 is not as aggressive as on M5. They are compared because there is nothing else to compare against but buyers who have the money buy what their particular interest most correlates with. THEY ARE GEARED TOWARDS DIFFERENT BUYERS!!!

Even Audi doesn´t agree with you. Both models are released as if they were rivalizing with each other. Two Sedans, both over 400hp, same price range etc. They aren´t rivals. Bullshit. To keep the example, Lamborghini gallardo got way worst when lambo adopted volks/audi engine. But got better on the traction matter.

Gallardo always had the VAG engine. Gallardo only came on market 5 years after Lambo was bought by VAG group. Lambo got a million times better after VAG acquired it. The cars they had before they got acquired weren't nearly as good as their recent cars and neither was the brand. Again you're providing idiotic and false arguments.

I call dull an engine that is too correct, performs right, consumes right and even pollutes lesser.That´s not the profile of a supercar. VW engines, and all german engines are great for sedans. Uhm, I saw that race...I don't see what your point is. The Gallardo was probably the fastest car on the track after the Nismo. It started at the back of the pack and made it all the way to the top. With a few more laps it would have been 2'nd (Nismo 1'st) and nothing on that track could even try to touch Nismo. AND if you're trying to compare performance of any one of those cars to GT-R, you're on crack.

I´m saying that the Gallardo took too long to pass sedans such as the M3 or the M5. I mean, if it was a real supercar,it should just leave those two sedans behind easily. The Lambo, as a lighter car, should have a better performance than the others, except for the GT-R. And that is a sign that Lambo (the company, not the car) lost a lot through the years. The Nissan, of course, is a masterpiece. Its engine and overwhelming traction makes the car pretty amazing on the track.

The Gallardo stills lighter than these three cars. It should have smoked them, but the Audi engine on the Gallardo is so damn saggy. A Street McLaren with a BMW V-12 (Best engine ever on a supercar) would destroy all those cars.

Even the noise changed for worst! Back in the 90´s, Lambo even provided engines for F1. The greatest models of all times: the miura, the urraco, the countach, and the diablo, all of it, real Lambos, made with passion by Signore Ferruccio. Nowadays Lamborghini is just another VW arm in the business world. Ferrari, despite the FIAT control, mantains the italian brightness on automobiles, with a twist of latin passion. If it wasn't for VAG's R&D and money, lambo would still produce unreliable cars which are annoying to drive. BTW Ferrari was just as unreliable but at least it was fun. If most BMW owners took their head out of their ass, they would very well switch to audi. Both are good brands and both have exciting/boring cars. 2000up Audis are better in my view. The SMG is complete shit and so is the i-drive (or whatever the heck its called). The only good thing out of BMW lately is 335. BMW quality is failing, Audi's is improving. Its not the same BMW we've come to expect in the 80s and 90s. Now its more about image than function.

What I will say is that 'Bavarian Motor Works' is just brilliant in advertising!! Audi's gotten bad press in the past, but people are turning on to them again. Sales are up in the US market. And the quality, fit & finish, handling are superb--simply sublime. The 3-series appeals to me. Maybe I'll get one b/c of its looks and reputation. But I know i'll sacrifice quality. And prestige-wise: the 2 are roughly equal

Why people always compare just the speed. Compare overall. AUDI will kill any BMW or MERCEDES ot snow or ice. + LOOK THE TRUNK SPACE of AUDI A6.
If you just compare speed get WRX STI stage II and it will smoke all audi, bmw or mercedes for under $40 000.
So dont compare just acceleration. Just drive RS6 2003 and M3 2003 SMG..and you will see that RS6 is the winner. and make sure you drive it in a snowy and icy terrain too:).. Peace.Out.

might want to check that again. As far as I recall, Audi was banned from racing due to its "unfair advantage" and inability of others to compete with them. Also check latest results in LeMans and comparos of RS4, TT and other Audis against their BMW counterparts. From what I recall, the little FWD 2.0T TT posted lap times faster than outgoing m3.

M3´s are pure sports cars, without the fancy audi´s gadgets to help on traction and cornerings. The fanciest thing you´ll see on a M3 is a mild traction control (useless) and a SMG (useless either). In the core, Mbimmers are a raw kind of sports car, while the audis are technolgical beasts. By the way, the RS6 competes against the new M5(E60), not the M3. M5 smokes it easily.

LOL man, you better check your sources. There is more electronic gadgetry in BMW than there is in Audi. Just look at Bimmer's computer system, then read what people say bout new stick M5. And what the heck does "smoke" it mean? They are very even cars (chip the RS6 and goodnight M5). The beauty of Audi is that it can be enjoyed in any weather at any time. Everyone knows that when Audi wants to beat the bimmers, they become cowards, and put on a big turbo to compete against the pure engineered, aspirated, itb (Individual Throttle Bodied) BMW´s. the m5 stands alone.Audi are wonderful cars but they are not quite there yet.Still the electrical issues, they perform will but residual values is given to the BMW.The new transmission for BMW have removes the torque converters.They operate all electro-magnetic hydraulic shift which will endure more.

Its not fair, ther is about a 4-5 year gap difference, and the rs6+ has 475 horsepower and the M5 has 500 horsepower, thats not that impressive wen you compare the NEW M5 to the OLD rs6+. So in the end the rs6+ wins, coz it is more supreme and is better for its age
