While it does help, you also need tons of pratice to learn how to use all of these martial arts TOGETHER, wich result in a completely new martial art called: Mix martial arts.

There's no teacher in the world that can teach me how to combine that. The reason why MMA is "becoming into a art of its own is cuz we now only do the big four: bjj, wrestling, muay thai and boxing, but traditionally mma can be whatever the hell u want it to be, it is not a martial art on itself.

@535manbearpig The reason why I think that MMA is a martial in itself is that no matter what martial arts you have learned to do MMA, you will have to modify them to fight in MMA... for example if a boxer stayed in boxing stance, he would get his legs destroyed, or there are many techniques in BJJ that you just can't do in MMA because you will get your face hammered... In my opinion, all those adjustments is what makes MMA a martial art...
