I think Yngwie is a bit of a one-skill hack, but this is VERY well done, though he has the wrong phrase after the solos. It's supposed to be the chorus, but they decided to do the verse. Nice stuff.

i dont like his neo classical speed riffing all the time , but this is the best cover version of an hendrix tune , and his sound is KILLER ! he is brilliant , i dont like all his stuff , but i must say he is really Brilliant strat player

WOW what an amazing solo! Really great to here him change it up like that and play some electric, psychedelic Blues in a style that's far away from his technical Euro-Classical sound. I LOVE the way he uses speed here, not just showboating it like he usually does, but fitting it in cleverly and sparingly to keep the riffs of the song shining through. And people accuse him of not playing with FEELING?!! Have them watch THIS solo - I guarantee they would never say that about him again.

the quotations he makes from Hendrix's vocabulary are amazing, the long note from Machine Gun in the middle solo, and then later in the song referencing the head to that same tune , plus numerous other Hendrix tunes, its really well studied and a great version. What a monster.

I have always Liked this Yngwie's Cover of his hero Jimi Hendrix Song. He's Amazing & Joe Lynn Turner sounds just like Jimi and Jens Johansson is Great with that cigarette sticking out of his mouth.
