Pro wrestling requires gimmicks, personas, costumes, and a character who is supposed to be in charge. I've seen Edge in real life in his "comfort zone" and he's a really funny dude. The most recent SmackDown! I went to, Alberto Del Rio ripped apart Rick The Sign Guy's sign, so you kid, shouldn't be so pissed about Edge doing his job and not corpsing infront of the fans.
