@perfectinfernape because it's not the portals that are cross-platform, it's the TOYS. the toys have chips in them that can go from portal to portal, no matter what the console...the portal itself is only good for the console it was made for. hope this helps!

I'm a 41 year old gamer who likes RTS, MMORPG, but generally not this style of game. It does, however, appeal to the collector in me. I love the idea of bringing the toys to life in the game, as they are already quality figures with backstories. I'm also looking forward to playing the game with my young daughters. They're not much into gaming, but they loved playing Skylanders on a store demo, and they love the figures. For people who don't like the toy aspect, buy another game!

Can you tag your character with a user ID, in 2P mode, what would happen if you removed both characters at the same time, and place 2 new ones back on, Do they Evolve, and when upgrading if your character is removed, will it cause the data in the toy, to become corrupt?

I don't want to have a bunch of figurines laying around the place getting lost and/or broken. Also blatant attempt the siphon more money from the gamer ( or parents of the gamer since this is more marketed towards kids, or at least that's how it seems with the whole novelty toy thing) pocket by making them have to pay for future characters.

@rawrnomify You are not actually playing with the toys like you would as a kid, it's just like a memory card but shaped like a figurine so i don't see why everyone (who thinks they're mature ) are complaining let's face it, you people say "man what the hell have they done to spyro, they've made it a kiddies game." well, last time i checked, spyro has always been a kiddies game. Same with mario and sonic but, it's not gonna put me off cause it's a fun game. Try it trust me you'll love it. :)

The game, a new game would be around £40 for the PS3, then the portal of power would be around 10, due to the fact it's a fantastic piece of software.

Then you have 3 figures, a poster, some trading cards and stickers with it too.

It's a fantastic price for what you get!
