  • CJJackson87 Bitch please :D

  • The Truth is that Earth is in the progress of leaving the Ice Age, therefore returning to normal temperature. Look up Friends of Science. I think Al Gore is an arsehole!

  • see speaking of footprints, can you please make a video where we can see you wearing sexy boots

  • Ugh, these comments. Fuck carbon footprints, fuck greenhouse gases. A volcano exploding puts out more constant carbon dioxide in the air than our buildings and our cars combined.

What I like about the idea of polybrick, provided they're fire-resistant, is that they are less weighty, and they can be made of any color, from any plastic. Keep the landfills empty for nature to grow there, or at least remove the waste in the way of erecting a building dedicated to recycling there instead.

  • Hey If it catches fire!

  • Take this down, stop proliferating the lie of Al Gore.

  • I don't like the idea of my home off-gassing. Imagine the air quality in a house made of plastic. What if we stopped cutting down forests to build houses that slowly decompose and start building homes out of the earth. They are solid, well insulated, they last practically forever when done right, and we don't have to kill anything!

  • It's time to place carbon footprints in their proper place in history, right next to flat earth.

  • The warming of mars isn't from increased solar activity.

  • People already use bottles as building materials in 3rd world countries, & some eco-builds, but it's nice that they lego-ised them. Convienient.

  • So instead of just recycling the bottles and make new bottles, they use energy to create another bottle to be used as housing material. They haven't really solved anything.

  • @bigflytrap Its about the dollars! :P

  • @bigflytrap One solution is to never ever ever ever by bottled water. Probably the Worlds #1 rip-off. At least pop as high-fructose corn syrup in with the municipal water. This vid didn't really explain this, are they going to try to sell these new bottles to coke and pepsi etc?

  • @bigflytrap The idea is that if people ARE going to buy bottled drinks, they buy them in these, and these are reused directly as building materials. They don't go straight from the factory into the walls.

  • @bigflytrap Lol yeah I saw a video of so called recycling they were filling the bottles full of sand I asked them why not just recycle the bottles into a more efficient material for constructing said buildings instead of using the 7123628913 bottles for 1 wall... They tried to tell me otherwise.

  • This is a great idea for struggling places, think about it, if their walls ever fall down from some type of flood, they can use it as a boat :D!!

  • fill with sand..

  • I'm not too worried about trash. In the very near future trash will be an unknown term. Everything will be reused. As a matter of fact we will be sending robotics to covered up landfills to recover trash thrown away decades ago.

  • GO NIXIE!! I have mad respect for you for this video!! Fantastic!!

  • damn, many of you are really fucking dangerously stupid. Luckily this also means that no one will ever take you seriously, and you'll be bagging groceries, not making important decisions.

  • @a3th3r Go fuck your self, retard.

  • @allthecarbontalk If a pedestrian pushes a crosswalk signal and stops 20 cars each way, does that mean the pedestrian now has a carbon footprint ?

  • end carbon footprints? LOL. carbon is one of the FOUR BASIC BUILDING BLOCKS OF LIFE. jesus..what is with all these tree humpers filling people's heads with this garbage that carbon emissions are the enemy. WITHOUT CARBON LIFE WOULD NOT EXIST...THIS IS PROVEN FACT...nothing against religion or free thinkers...CARBON IS REQUIRED FOR LIFE...PERIOD..end of discussion. however economically..there is nothing higher than free energy...I look forward to THAT.

  • @chronofusion A lot of things are required for life, but you wouldn't want too much of any one of them.

  • @Atalantius yes co2.....NOT carbon by itself. carbon filters STILL make the best filters for air AND water filtration... also..direct your comment to CHINA the worlds BIGGEST ( by a massive comparison for the past 3 decades) carbon dioxide emissions nation. anything else?

  • @chronofusion you think that when people talk about carbon emissions that they're talking about lumps of solid carbon moron? They're talking about the various carbon-based compounds which are emitted through combustion, and yes, they are highly toxic. Dude, can you please just shoot yourself in the fucking head, the world doesn't need any more morons asserting their idiocy as fact. It's sad.

  • @a3th3r deadlyroadstrip already gave you the proper advice kid. like DUUUUDE..like totally.lol. DUMBASS teenie bopper carbon BY ITSELF is not toxic..it's one of the four basic building blocks of life. This has BEEN fact since the beginning of mankind. Grow up little spanky. this video isn't about anyone catering to your lack of knowledge and your laziness in how you don't do proper research before failing miserably to try to sound smarter than someone twice your age and experience. move on.

  • @chronofusion and like many people have already informed you, the concept of carbon footprints has nothing to do with "carbon by itself" it is a way of conceptualizing the amount of greenhouse gases an individual or object produce, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH PURE CARBON. You are a fucking moron.

  • @chronofusion Also, my IQ is above 140. I'm not trying to sound smarter than you, I AM smarter than you. In fact, I'm so much smarter than you, that it is virtually impossible for us to even communicate, you're so stupid that I'm ostensibly speaking a different language.

  • @a3th3r Intelligence indicates knowledge but what you lack is wisdom. An intelligent person may be proud of his intelligence, but a wise man is wise enough to be humble. As Plato said more than two millennia ago: "Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something." Your pridefulness is eventually going to break your own neck and you will have only yourself to blame for it.

  • @chronofusion they really think were stupid enough to fall for these lies so they can tax us.

  • @chronofusion uhhh you realize that carbon can be found in many different forms, right? Some are dangerous and others are not. Carbon Monoxide will fucking kill you, for example. In fact, why don't you prove me wrong. Go inhale a lungful of carbon monoxide and come back and tell me that carbon emissions are not dangerous. Joke will be on you, because you will die and the world will be a better place with one less moron.

  • What happened to you Nixie?

    where's the Linux angle gone~?

  • TRASHY ALL THE WAY BABY !!! so sweet nixie

  • In landfills? Maybe in the US, but they are being heavily recycled in the rest of the world. they are used for new bottles, hardened plastic products and even sweaters :)

  • Nice stuff. Just that the earth is hitting not because of carb but because of the sun...wake up!! 2012 is on.

  • I just got my 60 yr old mother 3 R-ing. She's is usually stubborn, but has jumped right in!

  • I wonder what the R factor is on the poly bricks.

  • Today we are going to choose a new president in Finland.

  • carbon foot print nonsense is another way for the rich to tax the middle class and bleed them somwe more. the middle class is being systematically broken down to being poor. its classism. the globalists dont want an informed middle class because then they cant control the world.

  • @1ChainskiBum Lol. Are you stupid?

  • @willieterry91 mars temperature has risin the same amount earths has google it.

  • @1ChainskiBum I figured you were a douche. Your photo then backed up that notion. lol

  • @willieterry91 not one of you elitists can dispute the fact that mars temp has risen the same as earths without mankind. i guess working out makes a person a douche in your eyes probably because your scrawny.

  • @1ChainskiBum Lol. No, I'm not scrawny. But posing like a douche makes you a douche. (It's spelled 'you're', by the way.) Elitists is a bit much, and I don't really think they're trying to dispute that fact, since it doesn't take away form what's happening on earth. Universal or not, it's a problem that won't be helped by meat-head douches like you.

  • @willieterry91 yeah working out makes me a douche. your logic is sound and the fact that mars has risen at the same rate as earths proves its no related to man. btw go to a grammar forum elitist. there you can compliment all your elitist pals for proper spelling and staying off topic.

  • @1ChainskiBum lol. You're one track mind is evident. Get on the train, and don't exit 'til it stops? Sounds about right for you. I noticed you put Bible under your books, I take it you're a fan of fiction (since you seem to think I like being off topic). I would assume that makes you a republican, who we all know can't be swayed any way except what they're told. (And to correct you, again, I said posing like a douche makes you one, not working out.) It's okay you don't know better.

  • @willieterry91 you would never have the courage to say any of that to my face because your just some fat kid that cant except the fact that gore was wrong and the science is their to prove it. you attack my faith showing your a close minded elitest. back on point though you say i like fiction yet you believe man is responsible for climate change when mars has risen in temp the same as we have and now uc berkley is studying jupiter because of its signs of temp increase.

  • @1ChainskiBum lol. You make me laugh. It's cute, it really is. I'm glad you can put on a brave face. Actually, I remain outspoken to all in society, so given the opportunity, I would say all of this to you. (You still seem to lack the knowlege of basic english though--it's spelled "accept" and "you're"--so I'm not sure you would actually understand) To be fair, I didn't attack your faith, but made an assumption about your political backings. You're very adamant about labeling me an

  • @1ChainskiBum elitist. It's like you heard the word, and now want to use it a lot. It is funny, however, that you call yourself better than me, but label me the elitist (another word you're spelling wrong, by the way). See, an elitist is one who believes he is above everyone else. Now, I have yet to say anything to this extreme. But you on the other hand, you verbatim said that you are better than me. It seems to me that you would actually be the elitist here.

  • @1ChainskiBum Let's get back to why I asked if you were stupid in the first place, before you amused me so much with your witless retorts and redundant phrasing: You saying that carbon footprints are not but a hoax. Your understanding of basic science is laughable.

  • @1ChainskiBum It's as though you dismiss chemistry, and lack the ability to comprehend such ideas as carbon footprints not being linked to global temperature climbs, but rather as a benchmark for what the level of greenhouse gases present are.

To be clear, I'm apart of the middle class, as I assume you are. I, however, happen to be educated in a way that allows me to review and reform my opinions, without having to rely on regurgitating whatever I hear my friends or coworkers say.

  • @willieterry91 you assume im republican like an elitist but your wrong again. to put it simply though your wrong on climate change, wrong on my polotical stance, and an elitist who judges others based on their religion. to sum it up your wrong at everything and if you did speak to me like that face to face you would get your ass beat. im better than you and you hate me for it.

  • all you have to do is a simple google search on mars global warming and youll see that theyre temperature is rising at the same rate that ours is. no cars no people no buildings on mars so why is mars warming? also recent studies at uc berkley show that jupiter is warming.

  • @1ChainskiBum You should go pick up some heavy objects and flex your biceps in front of a mirror because using your "brain" is not working out very well. Try learning how an apostrophe works, then maybe you can move on to the complexities of politics and science. You're easily one of the dumbest people I've ever seen in my life.

  • @a3th3r since you cant keep on subject why dont you go to a grammar forum. elitists like yourself can all compliment each other on proper spelling while we here can discuss legitimate issues. you havent once offered a counter argument just critiqued my spelling. seriously get your pantied out of a bunch or go to a fagget grammar forum.

  • also climate change on jupiter as well as mars.

  • I gotta take a mini whiz

  • I feel like such a dick when people talk about 'carbon footprint' and I drive a 396 big block V8...

    12MPG FTW..

  • this reminds me of something I saw on TV once. An old abandoned house made out of glass bottles. The house was near an 1800's western town, and was made out of old liquor bottles from the saloons.

  • Love it when you talk trash Nixie! "0.o"

  • i drive a pickup truck with a big block v8 that gets around 4 mpg on the highway, it has NO emission controls on it and i let it idle ALL the time. my carbon foot print is ZERO. all life on this planet is carbon based and carbon is ONLY good and NEVER bad. the only people hurting the environment are environmentalists and politicians, there isnt an exception to this rule.

  • carbon footprints are something globalists made up to tax the middleclass and poor even more just to bleed us dry. carbon footprints are lies.

  • @1ChainskiBum Hmmm, so you're saying I don't produce carbon every time I turn on my car?...Okay, I'm game! So the fundamental principle that combustion = fire + carbon + water is wrong???? W00T!!!

The world should listen to ignorant people more often! They solve so many problems!

  • @Sandurz20 no, no one should listen to you.....carbon is only good never bad. the only people hurting the environment are environmentalists and politicians, there isnt an exception to this rule.

  • @origionalwinja IMO obvious troll is not obvious enough.

  • @origionalwinja there is an exception to EVERY rule

  • @Sandurz20 your a tool

  • @1ChainskiBum Ad hominem, nice.

Carbon footprint means, in laymans terms, the amount of carbon your produce in your life that is released into the atmosphere. Are you saying that NO CARBON is released into the atmosphere EVER?

  • @Sandurz20 @Sandurz20 “The attempts of environmentalists to bolster the myth of human-induced global warming is downright immoral.” Philip Stott, Professor of Biogeography, University of London

“Most geologists think the world is growing warmer, and that it will continue to get warmer.” L.A. Times 1929

  • @1ChainskiBum Obviously global warming is just a scam governmental scam in order to charge us more taxes, BUT doesn't mean WE are not affecting the planet. Epic MASS Deforestation on a daily basis, daily polluting of your oceans by corrupt oil cartels, daily poisoning of our oxygen and atmosphere by the burning of foiling fuels via millions of internal combustion engines world wide... what happens when you shut the garage door and leave the engine running ? Yeah.. thats right!

  • @1ChainskiBum Are you too dense as to not see what I'm saying? Carbon footprints have nothing to do with global warming.

Also, nice quote from eighty years ago.

  • @1ChainskiBum NAILED IT... exactly right!

  • @origionalwinja these ppl are so brainwashed. its shocking.

  • @1ChainskiBum your grammar is shocking.

  • @a3th3r theres english major forums for elitists like yourself

  • @1ChainskiBum I think you'll find that they teach the difference between "your" and "you're" around grade 3 or 4. If passing grade 3 English qualifies me as "an english major" I guess you're right. I just thought since you're taking it upon yourself to tell people that they are ignorant, and educating that carbon footprints are a fabrication used to control people, that I would point out that you have the grammar of a 10 year old child, so your opinions are likely equally worthless.

  • I will not enter a building made of plastic bottles

  • This is one green thing i aggree with.. the only way to go green is by turning it into a business

  • @YourVertigoso ONLY if there is NO govt subsidy involved at all, and it makes money all by its self with NO help.

  • Dear green movement give it a rest, thank you!

  • @CJJackson87 THANK YOU.... good god this green crap is annoying, and always wrong without exception.

  • didya notice that Nixie wore a green shirt for the "green" videos? Nice little touch.

  • That is very, very, interestistikating!

    No, really, it's really cool...it's super-coolanizing!!!

  • this is how you make a smart girl sound dumb

  • Hi Nixie,

Big fan. Saw this video and remembered a video I had worked on from years ago about this lady in Pakistan who has been doing work like this for a while. Obviously not as refined as MINIWIZ but her (Nargis Latifs) method is being employed in a lot of flood hit places. link: watch?v=H1JrmoMlSiw

  • Its a good concept, needs to become standard in house building.

  • @ortafunk Yeah I know about that I've been learning about green building in my schooling

  • its gonna melt.

  • Alternatively, stop drinking bottled water!

  • A nice dislike for this one. Where does earthquakes play a factor in to this one? LOL

  • waste of time, waste of money

  • The only smart use I've seen for used water bottles is as skylights in third world shacks.

  • As an architect, I'll NEVER specify water bottle wall in any building. This misplaced obsession with saving Mother Gaia is absurd. Man's behavior does NOT cause global warming. Go back and look at ALL the science, not just the Greenie big business science that Al Gore hawks for millions.

  • @AkScoochy Your a fool to think that.

  • @chukman102 That's not what the science says. Like I said- you have to look deeper than the junk science that's pumped out for people like you to believe. It's big business and YOU're the dupe.

  • @AkScoochy You know nothing about what your talking about. Why don't you research what global warming is and look into how its caused. Its a big problem that needs to be solved soon. People who call BS on the subject just don't want extra work in their lives when it comes to solving it.

  • @chukman102 Still wrong. You apparently aren't clued into the Greenie science lies, data falsification and discarding of historic temperature curves. Global warming is cyclical. Mars is warming right alongside Earth. It's a solar cycle, not from cow farts. Good luck with overcoming your brain washing. Maybe when you're older. BTW, Al Gore has pocketed over $100 million from useful idiots like you since he left office.

  • @AkScoochy Yes we do have phases of warming and cooling, but now there is a new factor.......US! #1 a carbon atmosphere is proven to hold more heat than most other gases. #2 Fossil fuels have stored carbon that is released back into the air after millions of years by Combustion. #3 Deforestation is destroying trees that convert or store carbon and this allows for carbon to stay within our atmosphere with less balance.

  • the future was tesla not this crap

  • this is trash but not the future^^

  • Was a bit concerned it was a gimmick as couldn't see how they'd get enough brand-focussed manufacturers to use the same bottle shape.

Didn't realise at first this was about recycling and re-casting plastics waste into this shape JUST for use as building materials. Which makes more sense.

  • Carbon footprints is HYPE, we need to stop using mineral oil and replace it with plant oil, fuck the oil industry!

  • Seeing as they are "little tiny water bottle looking things" the idea answer to the question of insulation would be sucking as much air out as possible to create a vacuum all be it probably only partial - less matter = less conduction of heat.

  • Hey u ever crush a plastic bottle and breathe into it to re expand it that is what we will have to do in our houses when a storm comes fart bealch and breathe really hard to re expand our houses :) lol. But seriously i do like the ideal as a Novelty concept i think its cool i just wouldn't want my real house made like that.

  • I don't read it on the website, but is this made by the principles of Cradle-to-cradle?

But on the other hand, I don't see my house being build with these bottles. In my country we use bricks and that's fine for me.

  • @Larrs81 In soviet russia house build you lol.

  • i like the topic but ..snore ..your videos are so damn short

  • @rubzlovespancakes I'm going in from the aspect of living in the desert which is where I live. 120 degree weather. Air is good but I want good air conditioning. :)

  • @ZHX1138 Have You looked at solar powered Air conditioners? Also around 10 feet deep the temperature stays around 52 degrees F cement blocks attract cold like a magnet.

  • Yeah for the Carbon scam. Killing South American farmers and taking their land to sell to big corp. for credits. Al Gore is evil, the polls are not melting actually was bigger in2011 then the last 3 years.

  • The green movement has been hijacked as a way to make money and get people to live in a post industrialized society. Only evil people would want to hurt the planet so no one will stand against the new environmental movement. wake up people research it for your sell. Remember climate gate? No? You better check it out.

  • Carbon Footprints lol, did al gore sponsor this booth? I will only buy it if the carbon footprint god himself sponsored the product.

  • Awesome. As if wood wasnt bad enough in a hurricane...

  • lol if a fire catches your house is just going to start melting...awesome

  • Yeah and when you fill it with water you get really good insulation I bet.

  • @ZHX1138 Just to educate you: no you wouldn't get really good insulation by filling them with water. Water is very good at conducting heat. It's why in almost every industry, when something needs to be cooled down, they use water. Air on the other hand, is a very good insulator. Just look at your windows, chances are you will see two plains of glass with air in between, that isolates pretty well. It's also why wearing layers is better than one big sweater. Hope you learned something! =D

  • @rubzlovespancakes

Yeah, the only way putting water in them is useful is if you are using the water to regulate the temperature between day and night. Even then it needs to be automated to get the most out of it to save on bills, and still water is probably not the best liquid substance to use.

    Vacuum is the best insulator.

  • @rubzlovespancakes I thought double glazed windows have a vacuum in between to lessen heat transfer

  • @sayrith vacuums are rare, it's usually some other gas like argon

  • @sayrith LOL!

  • @sayrith But this works both ways of course. Stuff in your fridge is protected from the heat outside, but the stuff outside is also protected from getting cold from the stuff in your fridge...

  • @rubzlovespancakes Water is NOT good at conducting heat. It has an extremely high specific heat capacity, meaning if I had a cup of water and a hot rod it would take a significant amount of time for that energy to pass to the other end. I could hold my finger there. It is good at dissipating and is used in heating systems because it can retain and hold a lot of energy, it can also absorb a lot of energy, hence used in cooling systems. Hope you learned something!

  • @jaggedspikerespawn Thank you for correcting me. Absorption is indeed the word I should have used. Meaning that filling the bottles with water to keep your house warm, would result in the water absorbing the heat in your house, cooling it down (correct me if I'm wrong). Would it stand up to air however, in areas where you'd want to have your house cooler than the ambient temp?

  • @rubzlovespancakes Spot on, heat travels to where there is a lower potential until it is at the same potential, applies for solids, liquids and gases.

  • Fuck Carbon tax.

  • In most developed countries, we recycle almost 100% of our bottles :P

  • Nixie, this video was just rubbish.

  • But if all the plastic bottles are recycled into building materials, where do we get new plastic bottles? Same place as always-- crude oil.

Assuming there is even such a thing as a carbon footprint (an arbitrary political construct for taxation purposes), or that the amount of CO2 output even matters (it doesn't, folks), you haven't really changed a thing, except possibly increase the net use of a resource that eco-nazis claim to hate.

  • @fleetcenturion Fact remains that doing something useful with trash is good. It's not a solution to the problem, but it helps us to deal with the consequences, while we look for a solution.

  • @rubzlovespancakes If this were the future of building, it would already be happening on a grand scale, since the material is so abundant. This is a construction method with very limited uses, whose proponents are looking for a government subsidy.

  • OMG everyone complaining on here are a bunch of bitches. Countless tech blogs report on stuff they see at CES,a lot of it based on nothing more than the blog author thought it was a cool booth. All of you stop with the aspergers shit already, damn.

  • Plastic ist Oil. And Oil is ending in 50 years. So plastic is not the future for us. Its the dead of our earth.

  • lol 40 pro-cent carbon footprint. Give me a scientific formula to calculate it myself please ?

A fomula that goes like this :

Carbon footprint = blablabla, divided by, blablabala, times CO2, derivative of something.

If a scientific formula doesnt exist.. your numbers are crap.

    Good day!

  • I really wish people wouldn't promote products without using them and reviewing them for real. Nixie, when you are showing off your house made of plastic bottles and give us your review on insulation, price, economical viability, longevity, and aesthetics then I will thumbs-up your video. Until then, its nothing but blind promotion and vaporware.

  • @jimbo2150 because you can't afford to demonstrate it yourself invalidates the argument. you sir = fail.

  • @richmeister4eva The company does not test it, Nixie does not even report on or claim on any testing or viability, I point it out, and now you claim its up to me to prove what they failed to do? Try again, next time without the ridiculous internet meme.

  • @jimbo2150 but i love memes :(

  • @richmeister4eva You can certainly keep them, just don't subject others do them. If anything I did what Nixie should have done in making sure people knew this was an idea, not a viable solution. Most of the things I see in expos and showrooms never get past the idea stage but I never see anyone who promotes these ideas let people know that. That should is what I aim to change.

  • @jimbo2150 True, I suppose its easy to get excited over new tech and over look the main point. Is it a viable one?

  • @richmeister4eva Exactly! Although other industries seem to get much higher rates of actual solutions I have noticed too many ideas and talk when it comes to green or renewable tech over the years and relatively few that work or more action being taken.

  • @jimbo2150 "I really wish people wouldn't promote products without using them and reviewing them for real."

So when you see something interesting, you should not share it with others, unless you tested it yourself?

She has every right to be exited, even though she might change her mind later on. Don't tell her what to post.

  • FORD SPONSORED SOPA. You should be ashamed, Ford.

  • Quite amazing! You look like you lost weight Nixie!

  • If I lived in America I would ask Nixie out on a date.

  • what append if the house burn!!!

TOXIC SMOKE ALL OVER THE NEIGHBORHOOD!??

  • nice :D

  • Then we have houses that can float on water :D

  • hijsuafsed
