Very nice video. US 211 is one of the prettiest drives in VA, IMHO. And just think 150 years ago this area was one of the most fought-over areas of the Civil War.
@booklover691 Thanks! You couldn't have asked for a better day visibility-wise. A lot of time during the warmer months, haze will often obstruct the view of the mountains but that wasn't the case on this day.
@FreewayTitan I thought I had addressed this issue before but I guess not sufficiently. The first block of videos were all shot on the same trip and I didn't realize the camera was too far to the left until I got home. The next video, which will be posted soon, has the camera more centered on the road.
@VaFreeways I'd also suggest tilting the angle down just a little. That way, you're not taking up as much "ground space" with the text boxes...on a few of your videos, you have text boxes that occupy ALL of the "ground space" and you can't see anything except the text box and the sky.
@mudfroggie I'm fully aware that's an issue... but my camcorder casts a wide net and will catch my front hood if I tilt it down too low. I try to address as many logistical pitfalls as I can during my filming but sometimes mistakes are made.
I remember those turn at 1:40 real good. Going 60 mph in a 99 Mustang was pretty wild

Of note: at 2:19, one catches a glimpse of old 211, before the widening/realignment project that added the climbing lane.

Nice job, though I still think you need to turn the camera just a little bit to the right. :)
