I keep hearing that the beginning of Act Two (Seasons of Love) takes place at Angel's funeral, and everything leading up to that point is just a flashback. I just noticed that I didn't see Angel in the chorus line at all (or I just missed it). Still, it's that much more powerful.

@ThisIsJoseSpeaking Angel is in the line as a boy - and it takes place perfectly in line with the script - it's just a slow moment in the middle of all the action...in fact, during the I'll Cover You Reprise, you'll notice that Collins is singing and at one point the spotlight that is over Angel's spot is a teeny bit bright to emphasize the point that he's no longer there - I've seen the show 37 some odd times so i started to notice little nuances like that

@mrjcb91 The womans name is Gwen Stewart and it's just a solo, that she originated in the original production of Rent. In the movie Tracie Thoms who replaced Fredi Walker as Joanne sings the solo so that's why some people are confused but yeah it's Gwen's solo.
