  • steve vai is better then both zappas

  • Dwezzle never gets the respect he obviously deserves. But that's going to happen living under the shadow of a genius dad!

  • @ricadrew

Well he gets all respect in the world from ME, because he give me ( a 29 year old ) the chance to experience the music of Frank Zappa Live

And i really really love Dweezils style of playing the guitar its a mix of Frank Zappa, Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen

check Dweezils CD Go with what you know

its really good, its a mix of Hard Rock, Progressive Rock and electronic music

  • "Cutting heads" is best represented in the film about Robert Johnson, with John Hammond, Jr as investigative reporter throughout the film.

  • vai is beast

  • cool twilight zone action...!!!

  • excuse my ignorance, but how is this zappa considering he died in 1993?

  • It's his son, Dweezil.

  • @jckbac9 It's Dweezil Zappa, Frank Zappa's son :D

  • Thank you,great video.

  • Malcolm is the rythum guitarist for AC/DC. Phil Rudd was the original drummer, he left the band in 1983 and returned in 1994. He is their current drummer.

  • haha, I like the Jeff Beck to Angus Young comparison. When AC/DC was forming, Malcolm Young was the better guitarist but he couldn't hold a crowd's interest the same way his little brother could. Therefor, he took over on drums and Angus became the inspiration for guitarists of an entire decade.

For those who rock, however you may do so, we salute you

  • Why should Steve Vai chrush Frank Zappa musically he was his musical Hero when he was 18

And later they had almost a Father and Son realationship

Frank had a totally different unique playin style it was more raw dirty and ugly (in a positive way) and more improvised

  • Ralph Macheo would fuck these guys up.

  • ZAPPA LIVES!!!! Here I dunno who's better but tbh I think Frank would own both of them. Not that that matters they're all awesome but he's the man.

  • nobody crushes or owns anybody. they're all three amazing guitarist, and have all three different styles.

  • Exacally! All amazing players in their own right!

  • people say that and try to sound wise... But some people are better then others. It takes more skill to do certain things if i go against a beginner who does pull offs and i sweep id win... people are good in there own right as far as creativity but not in the case of technical skill itself...

  • yeah that's defenitly true. technically a guitarist can be better. but I think a good guitarist has to have the right balance between creativity, techique and emotion.

  • I wasn't trying to sound wise or profound. I was actually refering to the guitarists in the video. Obviously there is a difference between a beginner and a master player. You can't compare Segovia to Slash. The point I was trying to make is that the 3 guitarists in the video are all amazing players but totally different styles so its like comparing apples to oranges.

  • Music is like all art..its totally subjective. Completely personal to each listener. The debate over whos better is totally mute..People like what they like because they like it. If we only judged people on technical ability we would never have heard of people like SRV, Dylan, Neil Young, Fogerty..etc.. All guys I love but technically.. not so much... lol...Segovia to Slash.. What about Jeff Beck to Angus Young? lol And what do we use as a benchmark? Album Sales? ask Buckethead about that!

  • whoah srv was a monster guitar player what are you talking about????????????????

  • Oh, sorry, I can see i mis-spoke. When I said "technically not so much" I was using the word technically incorrectly. I was actually refering to "Technique" in the "guitar snob" sense of the word. I meant their actual technique. I was not meaning any of the players I mentioned had no talent. But you can't compare a penetionc minor blues riff to phrygian mode solo or classical scales. One isn't any better than the other, just different.

  • lol thats not how headcutting works u noob.if they do a pull lick then u do a pull off lick better then you add the next phrase at the end

  • lol i called the video "cutting heads" as a "Crossroads" reference.... it was meant as a joke...like the line about Butler....get it?....get it?

  • i got it. as did anyone else whos got a brain in their head. what a bell end eh? great v ideo, thankyou!

  • Watch out Stevie or you might just get a spankin' from another Zappa! Great to see these guys on stage playing together.

  • "he he he Jack Butler's gonna love you!"

    lmao.

  • can you post more of this or any of steve vai if you have?
