  • I do believe albert hit a bum note on the end bar, but i'm just being picky. Still wonderful

  • This is one of the most talented groups of all time. Albert Lee is one of those guitarists that just blows my mind. He's out of this world, but every one in this group was that good too.

  • The Hot Band.......aptly named..............

  • Albert "Freakin" Lee tearing up that Tele! Go Al Go!!!

  • ALL HAIL THE QUEEN!

  • HOT BAND!

  • I was at this gig she is fan bloody tastic and Albert is the king

  • etuoo typed "That was "Alvin Lee" with 10 years after at Woodstock."

Sorry buddy, vou've got them seriously mixed up. That's Albert. Trust me - I know.

  • That was "Alvin Lee" with 10 years after at Woodstock. Albert Lee toured with Clapton in the 70's when EC was all strung out and couldn't play, please don't confuse the two... there's no comparison... Lee rules. heheheh

  • great. albert lee was with ten years after at woodstock

  • Great Emmylou Harris!

  • Wow, what a set and the energy here is as good as it gets. Emmy always picks such great bands; Alberts solo is one of the greatest. thanks so much for sharing. I can listen to this over and over; never tiring.

  • I have had a great priviledge of listening to albert live once in dublin with reic clapton and once with hogan's heroe's hreoes

  • Great! I wish I could hear 'Quarter Moon In A Ten Cent Town' and 'She'...my records are worn out!

  • She has real command here...

  • Actually, it is the band that had command. They hadn't practised whatsoever. Emmylou walked on stage and the band filled in without notes. They just blended and ohhhhh...how they blended.

  • Emmylou's rebound...beautiful play - a Hot Band.

  • Albert lee the best country picker of them all.The bass player was,nt so hot though he hits some bum notes but it did,nt put Albert off.Emmy Lou,s a beautiful singer and great song writer country music at its best.

  • LOVE her butterfly top. That gal not only can sing she can pick her outfits!

Fabulous lead guitar: who is it?

I hear Barry Tashian singing the harmony part.

  • Sorry about the lack of clarity in the description box, Joy - I've fixed it.

  • Thats English picker, Albert Lee - aint he great. Emmylou has always has excellent players. No wonder they're called the Hot Band.

  • @JoieDe Albert Lee

  • I agree, I've never heard anything better than the original ISB, not even the remaster which kind of has some bits of the excellent guitar work a little buried in the back.

  • Agreed w/luciobar1980 and lol poor Emmy I've never seen her with a perm and mullet. Her voice is always great though, super guitar is right too. I don't like covers either but it's fine when she covers anything involving Gram's work.

  • Gram, Gram, Gram, is that ALL there is ? !!LOL.

  • Clothes are suited very well.

  • someone please post the original gram parsons version of this! thanks

  • watch?v=g3cToJxub3c

  • Impressed! I shudder to recall how much effort and expense went into finding a copy of LHI 20001 in 1977. :-)

  • But would you know about it if Ms. Harris hadn't covered? Just musing hypothetically. Thanks for the comment.

  • Oh god... the glorious voice of Emmylou, AND Albert Lee at full bore... It's almost too much. Albert is one of those guys who can almost make me want to quit playing guitar.

  • I'd hate to have been the act that had to follow that.

  • My favorite version of "Luxury Liner" -- Emmylou and Albert, flawless and the rest of the band, solid. Perfection ... What fun to watch.

  • HEYY have you heard the version on Albert's Heartbreak Hill Album. Al starts on acoustic then you get solos from Brad Paisley & Vince Gill,Buddy Emmons and a trademark echo solo from Albie.

Vince Gill takes the prize imo , his tone just stings

  • No I haven't, but now I'll have to check it out. Many thanks for the tip, timechannel. Sounds like I'll love it.

  • Considering all of Emmy Lou's great, great songs, this is the greatest.

    Written by Gram Parsons.

    Albert Lee rocks.

    Rock
