  • You are on Cornice Ridge above Tony Grove lake right? I have done the same thing before a jump. if people havnt been there they dont understandwhat it is like. you did a smart thing cause you dont want that cornice fallowing you after you jump. those big chunks would be like getting hit by a bus better to be on top then bottom.

  • Looks like you're trying to get yourself naturally selected.

  • Glad to see you're ok. Looked to me like only the cornice popped and didnt actually trigger and any large fractures, crowning, or other serious shit... just sluffing.

Looks like the snowpack was pretty solid aside from the cornice.

  • that same thing happend to me but i stayed on my sled but nice its cold huh

    jk hahahaha

  • i just cant believe anyone is dumb enough to walk out onto a cornice even if avy danger is low... your lucky your okay and that it didnt break further back and your sled come and land on you... still stupid though...

  • That was actually a cornice that collapsed...no avalanche. Still dangerous, but not an avi.

  • I Rofl'd. Glad you are okay but it was funny

  • Nice video. Do you use any airbag backpacks? i.e. ABS, BCA, Snowpulse?

  • Honey I'm going out...I have some death to defy!

  • My video (UTAH, Tonys grove drop ) Is me in that exact same spot at tonys grove. That hill is great to play on but can be nasty on high avi days, glad you made it out alive, Ive seen 3 big slides on that hill just in the past 3 years. Cool videos man, keep it up

  • Wher THA fuck is my snowmobile?

  • Lucky that snowmobile didnt get ya

  • people run their mouths off on this kid but it's a hell of a lot smarter he walker to the edge than just jumped blind or or rode his sled to the edge and have if fall off. I do this all the time skiing the only difference is I have a pole I can use to break or test the edge before I get close.

  • thank you for being assertive in your video. I hate ignorant dumbasses, nice vid

  • You're a retard. Even small avalanches kill people. Just look at the 4 deaths already this season in Colorado. Dosen't sound like you will be around much longer though. Less people for you to hurt/kill with your ignorance.

  • cornice breaking off, not necessarily avalanche....

  • wasen't that big of an avalanche, woulden't have killed him if he was with his sled there like someone said.. nice vid tho! ;)

  • i would have been like" damnit now i have to walk back up this?

  • thats not an avalanche. that is just debris from a cornice. that didnt even cause an avalanche.

  • pizdets!!!

  • Cornices have tendency to do that-not the best call to stop you sled on/close the that...

  • nice!

  • Not too smart my friend.

One day you won't be so lucky.

  • good think just to cornice broke and it didnt gather much more snow. if it would have prolly could have killed u! glad ur alive!

  • holy shit big foot OMG!!!!!!!

  • cool

  • stupid ...

  • Doh!

  • where is this?

  • What an total idiot...

  • you must of been tired i havent done that in my 5 years of experince and only 14 :)

  • Shit that sux.. watch this.. almost the same but lost the sled over the edge...

    watch?v=HHrSolyvPKc

  • dumbass, if that woulda broken off behind your sled this would be a much more popular youtube video. and you would just be another dead sledder

  • @northface9 At least I'm not just another Dendrophiliac like yourself! Thanks for watching!

  • @RMKtanner funny thing is that i actually study dendrology...

  • 0:26 petrifyingly pants shitting

  • how was the hike back up?

  • Imagine you you wouldn't have went to go look over the edge and took the sled over it... that would of most likely cause a pree bad crash right there...

  • scared the shit out of me, cant imagin what you felt like 0_0

  • yeah that could of came out alot worse man glad to see you and the go-pro made it

  • bad luck;9

  • A prime shit-your-pants moment

  • I think i have that same helmet except for bmx racing...is that the monster/one industries Kombat?

  • 0:26 WOH didnt see that comming....

  • thumbs up for monster energy helmet

  • it look like a WATER SLIDE was it fun lol

  • Cool vids man, but why is your name "RMK"tanner?

  • @faweebus Thanks! Because this is my first cat, I've been riding Polaris my whole life until this sled. And I'm planning on going back to Polaris next year.

  • @RMKtanner ahah lol

  • @RMKtanner First let me state that I'm glad to see you're well and fine, second let me share my opinion that you're switching back from Arctic Cat 1 year too soon! (: I think these stock turbos are a pretty big deal, been a bad winter for me though, so haven't seen anything besides what people post on videos...

  • Butt-sledding, hell yeah!

That was really gnarly, glad you're ok!

  • nice footage. I have similar footage of a cornice collapse that i caught on my go pro last spring. check it out.

  • holy shit! happens quick.

  • why did you walk down and not up to the sleD?

  • @Qwertey16 cause the other guy filming had a sled below him and its easier to drive up than walk

  • well good on you then. so the lesson is what?

love seeing the explosion of helmet-cam footy these days.

  • that was crazy man, I bet that scared the shit out of you lol. Glad you're alright and fuck the idiots that are talking shit. great footage.

  • really, glad you're alive but what kind of 'tard stomps right to the top of a cornice?

  • @yenneved Maybe the kind that jumped off that very same cornice only days before, and maybe the kind that tested similar sized cornices all over that same ridge only minutes before, maybe the kind that knew the Avy danger was low and was being smart about a big drop. I just love it when people run their mouths when they don't even know all the details.

  • @RMKtanner doesn't matter if danger is "low," you break off a cornice like that wild ride and you run the risk of a lot more than a long hike back up... good luck this season

  • @RMKtanner Had you dug any snow pits? You are lucky the cornice didn't trigger the obviously wind loaded slope. true, only you know all the details, but I'm gonna write this one off as another dumb sledder who knows little more than to check an avalanche report before heading off.

  • Pretty similar to a ski cut all the skiers/snowboarders do.

  • @snowman102185 Not even remotely similar.

  • holy s. seriously, take an avy class. do you know how lucky you are to be alive???

  • I'm glad you are ok, I bet you learned a lesson from that. at least I hope you did. go take a avy class before we read about you in the paper. happy trails. I fully agree with agentwtf.

  • I'm happy you're alive, but you're lucky you didn't trigger something worse.

  • Great video, dumb move. Hope that lesson is clear.

  • Did you have to clean your pants after that one?
