Their crimes were only discovered after a random Police investigation in 1992, which led to arguably the biggest crime story in British history, alongside Myra Hindley and Ian Brady(multiple child killers), and Jack The Ripper.

I think its a bit misleading including Mary Bastholm amongst the know victims of the Wests; although its probable that Fred killed her, its not definite, and her body hasnt and will never be found. Absolutely heartbreaking when you see the magnitude of what these animals did.
There is the very distinct possibility that there were many many more victims of the Wests: Fred's son Stephen said that his father hinted at many more, and said that the police would "never find them", and Fred also said that there were at least "20 more, and I will give the police one a year". Fred carried his secrets to the grave though. Girls who survived his abuse also told of sexual orgies, partied in abandoned farms where girls were kept for days on end, and tortured.
I have had to split this up: damn 500 character limit!! One of the girls who attended these orgies Sharon Compton spoke about a "cult-like atmosphere", and suggested that girls were murdered and buried at one of these abandoned farms in Gloucester, where she herself was taken. Nobody will ever know the full extent of this horror, as Fred is dead, and Rose is keeping her mouth shut. Horrendous crimes, unspeakable.

This song is a tribute to the victims, they have families who love them and miss them, they were human beings not just nameless 'victims of the Wests'. I think it's only right that they are linked with an uplifting love song in their tribute rather than a depressing morbid one. It is also one of my very fave Who songs ever, I chose to use it because it is so emotional and powerful. The song reminds me of certain things, and it reminds you of whatever it reminds you of. Stephen was married and has twins, but he has attempted suicide and got into trouble for statutory rape. He admits to having trouble with his anger, and coming to terms with the past. Mae has changed her name... Rose recently cut off all contact with her remaining kids after they began asking her about how Heather died.

This is one of my favorite songs by the Who. I have reservations about the death penalty, since so many innocent people have been wrongly executed. However, seeing the likes of Rose West, Myra Hindley, Peter Sutcliffe, and Ian Brady almost makes me wish that the UK still had the death penalty.

I've only read up on four serial killers to date : West, Nilsen, Sutcliffe and Ted Bundy. Of the four, West was the cruellest and most wicked. This is a really moving requiem for his victims. Congratulations and thanks (if that's the right thing to say) to the videomaker.

Fred and Rose West killed numerous adolescent young girls, inlcuding their own daughter, over a 30 yr period, while living a normal suburban life. Their crimes were only discovered after a random Police investigation in 1992, which led to arguably the biggest crime story in British history, alongside Myra Hindley and Ian Brady(multiple child killers), and Jack The Ripper.

I think its a bit misleading including Mary Bastholm amongst the know victims of the Wests; although its probable that Fred killed her, its not definite, and her body hasnt and will never be found. Absolutely heartbreaking when you see the magnitude of what these animals did.

There is the very distinct possibility that there were many many more victims of the Wests: Fred's son Stephen said that his father hinted at many more, and said that the police would "never find them", and Fred also said that there were at least "20 more, and I will give the police one a year". Fred carried his secrets to the grave though. Girls who survived his abuse also told of sexual orgies, partied in abandoned farms where girls were kept for days on end, and tortured.

One of the girls who attended these orgies Sharon Compton spoke about a "cult-like atmosphere", and suggested that girls were murdered and buried at one of these abandoned farms in Gloucester, where she herself was taken. Nobody will ever know the full extent of this horror, as Fred is dead, and Rose is keeping her mouth shut. Horrendous crimes, unspeakable.

People need to remember that there were actually victims in this case, all people ever seem to talk about are fred and rose. How can two people actaully do this to anybody? let alone three of their own children. The thought of these monsters repulses me. To rape and then murder a daughter in any other context is an act of war. Why isn't it treated as one? I cannot be satisfied with due process of law in a case like this. Complete eradication is how we treat this behaviour on a grand scale. Why are we so civil on this small scale?

I was brought into this case by the photos of Heather West. What a sweet face she had, with those beautiful big brown eyes.
How her own parents could have done what they did to her is beyond me.
She deserved a much better fate.

This song is a tribute to the victims, they have families who love them and miss them, they were human beings not just nameless 'victims of the Wests'. I think it's only right that they are linked with an uplifting love song in their tribute rather than a depressing morbid one. It is also one of my very fave Who songs ever, I chose to use it because it is so emotional and powerful. The song reminds me of certain things, and it reminds you of whatever it reminds you of. Freedom of expression!

I have read every single book on this, It's quite strange that I have such a morbid fascination.
I too feel sorry for heather, and its a huge shame and horrific waste of such a young life. All she wanted was her freedom, but this reminds me so much of my own parents sometimes. Just viscious for the hell of it.

Anne Marie is still not "over it" (of course) and suffers from depression, she tried to commit suicide several times. Stephen was married and has twins, but he has attempted suicide and got into trouble for statutory rape. He admits to having trouble with his anger, and coming to terms with the past. Mae has changed her name... Rose recently cut off all contact with her remaining kids after they began asking her about how Heather died.
