i think glass is better than nuke...a nuclear blast will left radiation for years...while glassing just scorch the earth the only lasting damage is the fact you cant grow anymore plants on glassed lands

its kinda different the glassing is done using a concentrated laser blast from a covennant ship(like in the movie independence day) so its not as instantaneous as a nuclear blast but more effective in my opinion
