  • I dont beleive "Steve Wright " for one minuit when he said he looked like these guys when he was in College" utter crap...man they weere the real deal in the seventies..They really lived that hardcore rock n Roll lifestyle..of Drugs, Booze and sex..lots and lots of "Ganja and Acid"...I dont recon Steve Wright has even smoked a Joint in his life ..lol

  • Perfect.j aime et j adore.oui i've got a silveeeer machiiine

  • If I had seen footage of Hawkwind performing live in this era when I was a teenager, I would've become a fan for life just because of Stacia.

  • what werent they on

  • Hawkwind was exciting because that was the point at which the hippie dream degenerated into the heavy metal nightmare. It's rawness explains why these dirty hippy types got a pass from the punk rock crowd. For all the youngsters out there, that's Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead up front. Motörhead being the quintessential band that both the metalheads and the hardcore punks listen to. Great band, great song, great times!

  • @batavianism adopting this as my new motto

  • One of my first Albulms was by Hawkwind followed by the sex pistols.

  • as a 15yr old and into bikes this is a song for me also tokio melody becaurse my dream bike was a suzuki gt750j with the lazers.how this all works i dont know. i was a kid.

  • Hawkwind Silver Machine, has to be one of the best Rock Anthems ever.

  • Hawkwind and Pink Floyd are both British bands, so are therefore both European.

  • Never thought about until now...Hawkwind was Europe's version of Pink Floyd. Saw them in the US 4 times. Wish they would come back!

  • Awesome band and absolutely classic track but this song just reminds me of the casualties and how close you can walk to the edge

  • W/SIMON 'DOG' KING ON MASSIVE DRUMS!!

  • i had a gf who looked like stacia. not as tall or as 'comely' though.

  • @disjoinedchip2 Same, but she didn't have near the, ahem, ornamentation.

  • @karlmoles65 aye mine as well fella. bit big for my liking nice face though.

  • @disjoinedchip2 I don't mind a big girl, mine was almost six feet, my height, no stooping to smooch, haha.

  • Yip this is the song that got me hooked on Hawkwind and I've been a faithful fan for almost 4 decades...Holy shit nearly 40 years. Where did the Time go? I must still be trippin....

  • hehee!...seems maybe they wanted to prove something important despite claims of a lady in Led Zeppelin`s 1971`s release of "Stairway to Heaven" that "all that glitter`s is gold"...well, they knew otherwise didnt they! ;) ..hehee.. You speak great (information~PennyTraition!) you help place my imagination all the more into this time of those wonder years...thank you for being here! where WE can LoVe..yes, we can LoVe.

  • @ sunchilde68 Oh man, I need TV when I got...T.REX...introducing Hawkwind doing 'Quark,Strangeness and Charm', but that's another viddy...Although very much the Golden year,1972 was Silver: This Machine, Iggy's hair and leather pants, Bolan's undereye tears, even Slade (and lesser). I used to see Hawkwind in 86 at the festivals, and meet up with Vom. He was in a band called Dr & The Medics. Then he went here and there and Paris, with Stiv Bators,J.Thunders and DeeDee Ramone...now in DTH ,Germany.

  • Lemmy---one of the gods of rock n' roll!

  • 1972: Alice Cooper 'School's Out', Iggy & The Stooges Raw Power, Bowie rips off Ig and Velvet's Lou Reed and 'becomes' Z-Iggy Stardust, (hiding STAR Iggy); Bolan peaks with 'Metal Guru', Mott The Hoople give it one last go with the Bowie-penned 'All The Young Dudes',New York Dolls...I listen to my yet to arrive Ramones 'Rock'n'Roll Radio' all that summer, best year til '76...1986 Hawkwind reform and do a series of festivals with The Damned and The Medics..who cover this..Halcion Daze..Great vid.

  • @PennyTraition "the television man(iS) crazy ..saying WE`RE all juvenile delinquent wrecks"... and I say yes..".but we can love...yeah, we can LOVE"

  • @BabblingCosmonaut Somewhere in the space/time continuum there's an alternate universe where it's forever 1972

  • Lemmy singing, superb sounds and Wonder woman

  • Stacia, will you marry me?

  • @PalaceofSwords you realise she is sagging old now?

  • Lemmy is awesome!

  • this was never "pop"

  • @johnnydelrey pop aka popular. this was popular music in 1972ish

  • Imagine... This was once pop...

  • Stacia was a goddesse!

  • glorious stacia

  • Stacia looks so beautiful

  • joe meek style production...fantastic..one of my faves

  • I'd never heard Hawkwind before. I like their sound. And Stacia was HOT!

  • I'm surprised he isn't reading out complimentary e-mails about his show.
