i agree lando's a beast when it comes to freestyling. he's also one of tony's influences. but when it comes to choreography, and overall originality, tony has it.
um..i would say watch more of lando's work. landizeesgbm is his user account. check out his vids. he's known for his choreography and originality. i'm sorry but i'll have to disagree. lando is definitely a more well rounded dancer.
I just prefer tony's choreo to lando's. tony's isos are more theatrical, maybe less technical, and so on a big stage it stands out more. I'm basing this on competition stuff. (Like tony's when we ooo choreo for Vibe XIII). But hope boxcutterz made it to ABDC Season 3 so u can prove me wrong haha
ABDC is a cool show, but how did team millenia get eliminated last season. i don't really take that show too seriously. jun is insanely good, and that was an all star group.
I hate people that compare every choreographer to the jabbawockeez. Everyone has their own unique style and its just dumb to relate every single dancer to a single crew that won one tv show.
you obviously need to watch video's or go to comps or showcases outside of america's best dance crew. because some of us actually know the cali dance. and the east coast dance scene can tell the difference between any jabbawockee choreo. and kaba. or tm. or the company. or pac modern. or boxcutters. or soul sector. or chill factor. or choreo cookies. just to name a few. do your homework. get it straight. hop off the hype.

u know what, i've seen all the crews you mentioned and more. keone madrid and mariel martin from cookies, jed florano from millenia, shaun evaristo from gen 2, kb, ben chung and phi from jabba, andrew and brian from soreal... all of them are dope, but if you say tony tran's style is similar to someone else, then u are wrong.
in fact, after watching all these many choreo videos, i think, if you want to learn a super clean, move to move, point to point isolation choreography, i will definitely only give you tony tran, cause his moves are the cleanest, most isolated. he doesn't do that many fluid links between each beat hitting point to make the moves looks smooth, instead he just goes from one beat hitting point to another, sharply.
he is definitely awesome at hitting beats.. no doubt about that.. but I believe Mike Song hits beats sharper than Tony because of Mike's sharp popping.. and when it comes to clean, on point, and smooth crazy moves, I'll go for Shaun Evaristo. But for isolations, then yeah, it's got to be Tony Tran. He is like a robot..
popping is not in any terms hip hop its a funk style in the same catagory as locking funk styles were made 15+ years before hip hop in the 70's and the 80's gave rise to hip hop in the form of B-boying and this is said from poppin pete brother of boogaloo sam himself so lets make sure we get our catagories right n yea isolator isnt a style, tony has a very unique style of choreo he is a hip hop coreographer you can ask many different ppl with the same style

Kaba Modern, for example, does popping and they compete and win at hip-hop competitions. Maybe it wasn't associated with hip-hop before, I know its funk, but some people consider it hip-hop as well. And yeah, I know Tony got the most unique style, but his isolations, I believe, fall under the category of popping. And yes, he's a hip-hop choreographer.
yea tht is a very good point but i think (and this is just my opinion) the new coreo style was derived from popping thts why you will find a lot of hip hop dancers can pop and vise versa but even though his isolations are crazy they are elements of both styles cuz i see many coreographers and many poppers use isolations it jus depends on the style of either dance that you do

Tony Tran has his own style.. he has his crazy isolations and if you're familiar with his dancing it's hella easy to tell if he is the choreographer, you can see it in the style.. I don't see anything in his choreography that will remind me of other crews besides Kaba..

Technically speaking, you can emphasize your chest pops by pulling your shoulders back while pushing your chest forward. It'll make it look bigger.
