  • I've also been to WDW & FW since '71 as an adult and Disney improves mother nature. If they have to remove a diseased tree, plant or shrub, rest assured they will replace it with a healthy one. They have set aside thousands of acres to leave natural that they bought and paid for, which they did not have to, but because they are good stewards of the planet. How many acres have you bought to leave natural, or do you expect the government to do that for you. Don't like FW? Stay away!

  • i think the other commenter just studders thats why its dis disney . agreed , looks crappy and is crappy all they have done is create mosquito ponds , were once before all the brush obsorbed the water and created a buffer from traffic and neighbors. ive been going to fort wilderness since i was 3 months in 71 old ,this is the first year ive missed because my wife just had twins now thats BS

  • Shaunais,

I'm an old man and I don't know what 'dis' means. Any way we have camped at Ft. Wilderness 38 times. I do know that I was told the reasons for the removal of the underbrush and it it BS. They have made other changes in Ft. Wilderness that my family has found very displeasing. Since we have camped there since 1971. I believe we have relative, well founded, opinions. I don't know of your experience and what you base your opinion on.

  • @subvetss "Dis," in the context it was used in, is short for "disrespect." I don't believe this was disrespectful at all towards Disney. In fact, I think Disney should offer a discount for the unsightly condition of the campsite provided. This was not up to par for the Disney standards. I understand they did it for the weather, but lots of people go to Disney specifically for the cleanliness and attention to detail they're known for.

  • Dont dis Disney. You dont know what they are planning or why they had to do the removing of plant life.
