The matrix effect is a command called "cmatrix", see her man for know its options (colors, for example)

The song is just one of the more GOA songs, how a friend says "hacker music" :) lol

cmatrix, yes, terminal = rxvt-unicode, that transparency is made using composite stuff (same to the transparency on the videos)

aww, hmm... I have urxvt, I just forgot how to enable the transparency, I wonder if it would work without composite 0-o... My ATI card would just constantly lock up if I used composite :P... Thanks for the reply ^_^.

Transparency of urxvt is a direct transparency with the root window... transparency of composite is another thing, think about normal transparency how a 2d PLAIN image, where window replaces the final content of the screen... composite works looking all the screen how "pieces", and remember the things to are below of a window

ATI... well... *sigh*, my recomendation is to sell this ATI and buy a serious card ;) (nvidia), ATI just gives A LOT of problems

Listen, I installed E17 in my Ubuntu, how do I enable trasparency? I've got composite enabled in my NVidia card, but the terminal is not transparent. With Beryl in normal Ubuntu, trasparency works great. Also, how do you obtain that effect that makes all of the windows jump out of the screen and then come back inside it? It is similar to an effect I use in Beryl... I Hope you'll answer cause I'm not all that expert!

E17 is in development (not finished, not stable, etc), but Elive uses it very well (more exactly, the only window-manager of the system), you can set the transparency with some commands/things, try e17setroot

The effect, is a module called "bling" of e17, you need to have composite enabled on your graphical system
