what does it say about a person knowingly hanging around known sex offenders? The mother obviously had no common sense. The grandma should not have left the child alone with the mom. The father being absent from his child's life for years shows his lack of responsibility. Nevaeh, sweet baby never had a chance form the beginning with all the mental disfunction around her. i swear I'm not sure it isnt a good idea to make people earn a license to be able to have children.

Well, the dad has said that the mother was supposed to have only monitored visits. I have been told all of them the granny, the mom and the child lived together. That Grandma was at work and mom was watching the child. If it is true what the father says, the grandma could have lost custody because she let her daughter move in. It is hard to sort out but that is what he said. In which case the grandma is also responsible for child neglect in leaving the child with her mother.
I know that it's not right for a father 2 be absent from a child life, but as someone that was there when him and the split up, i can tell u that i do understand y he left. He should have tried though 2 get custody because he has other kids and he does take care of them
From what I understand he did try to get custody. I do not care that he left, I care that he had nothing to do with this child. If he had known what was going on with his child perhaps he could have prevented this.

what i dont understand is that mom was under supervised visitation only. (right?, i'm asking) so who was supervising on the day Nevaeh was taken?
i have to agree with the other comment about the bio dad. too little too late, but you will have to live with that- so i'll shut up.
