onceyouhitthebottomdo a "bottom turn" by using pressure on the back on the board to move it right or left onto the face. If you master this what usually happens is that you loose some speed if you make too much of a quick turn and immediatly after you turn you can run up to the tip of your board and nose ride (if your longboarding) it all comes with practice, I really dont like the systematic approach of teaching surfing. If anyone has any questions

soft-top boards are worthless. they don't have any planing ability because they're too flexy. Forget it and buy the real thing, that's the only way to learn to surf. you need weight for momentum, length for trim and noseriding. aussies suck. they learned everything from yanks back in the 40's and 50's.

if u want to duck dive u put ur foot on the back of the board and push down while pushing with ur arms if u dont time it right u end up following the wave so wat till its just about to break cause than u will get the momentum of the wave to push u up
