wtf does 4wd have to do with it??? its not like the M3 lit its rear tyres up and lost accelaration from reduced traction!!! its a rolling start!!! 4wd drive there proves a dissadvantage as more power is lost through the transfer box and added weight. Standing start it can prove useful, but 50mph roll-on....not a chance!!!

Even standing starts its often a dis-advantage if you are against someone who can ACTUALLY drive a rear drive car without layin down 30ft of rubber. No, that's because Vanos is always in. It is infinitely variable valve timing. Vtec is either on or off and not as good.

I work for Audi and you say that we dont make the RS4 anymore.. I think you need to get your facts correct....They have only delayed / stopped production as there is such a back log of orders for the R8..

I live in Hungary.
In my opinion BMW does things right. The old I6 engines bring the true goosebumps for those who liked them, and the new 4-cyl sparing diesels can make the older, more conservative customers turn towards BMW. I don't know which engines do they sell in the US, but I think you know what I mean.
As for me, I wouldn't really be able to decide whether to buy Japanese or BMW if I had the money. But I wouldn't buy anything else, maybe only an Escort Cosworth.

I act. drive an E46 325i and I love the I6 in it to death. Here in the U.S. they still carry the I6's, but now theyre bringing in diesel engines too. However Im sure you heard the engines are getting bigger, like V8s and V10s in the M lineup. Its cool how BMW is incorporating turbos into the I6's to give them more power. I know what you mean though about BMW, and thats why I drive it, nothing better as far as overrall performance.
