  • @jasminka1991: you could also try a video from yogatic "easy yoga for lower back and core" and a video from Rodney Yee "neck and shoulder stretch at your desk". I do these exercises regularly and the first video I repeat a couple of times. They are pretty easy to do and work well for me. Hope you'll feel better ;)

  • When will people stop calling Yoga ,Pilates?. The moves are OK but they are not Pilates they are just stretches. Pilates is a complex contolled blend of stretch and strenghtening movements with essentially the use of the breath which is not mentioned in this video

  • For someone who does pilates to strengthen her body she has very little muscle tone.

    Also most of the stretches are eccentric contractions which are very static and non functional.The hamstring stretch is a great example of a muscle that is being loaded by her own body weight. You cant stretch a loaded muscel. Physiologically impossible. No sportsperson would ever stretch like this. Too slow and too passive. Sorry dont want to spoil anyones fun. Its just very dated and old school stretching.

    If you're looking for abs, thighs, etc... Blogilates has a few videos (10mins each) that target those areas! They are really good!

  • I have the DVD, it's so good. You can put the routine together in the way that suits you and it only cost something like 5 pound off play. I became so toned and flexible after doing this for half an hour a day! Just vary the different ones

  • terrific video -- well-chosen exercises, beatufiully demonstrated, excelent verbal cueing -- "yawn" is great! -- with good sense of where the weight is and where it has to go and what part of hte body should be feeling things. Teacher shows the action so you can't mistake where the movement should take place. Bravo!

  • yoga and pilates will have you in pain but ounce when you wake up from sleeping your so relaxed it feels like you found heaven! your not just loosing body weight your loosing all the negativity that was in you as well! I think more positive after doing pilates and yoga and a little prayer on top of that LOL!

  • it can help strengthen/lose weight and helps stretch so there are no injuries during workouts

  • it wont make you lose weight, its anaerobic. it will however tighten your transverse ab, giving the appearance that you have lost circumference

  • (slayerofbeastsx) it is a strength and flexability exersice... i don't think its for losing weight, and if you do it well and get tonned you'll gain weight because muscle ways more than fat... but you still should lose fat and get tonned...
